I (KusogeMan) inserted a game ending skip into the original TAS from bag of magic food with his permission over PMs.
this is the original TAS:
around 52 minutes in the first fire dungeon of www comps, i did this glitch: https://youtu.be/zR8xpDOfeLs?si=TfWXz0_bqo4kbh1L to end the TAS earlier skipping all WWW comps and magic man and final boss and part of ending cutscenes

eien86: Claiming for judging.

eien86: In this movie, KusogeMan applies a better ending to [1560] GBA Mega Man Battle Network by Bag of Magic Food in 55:40.65, reaching the end credits more than 3 minutes faster thanks to the use of a recently discovered glitch, called the "Reddit Skip"
The authorship attribution seems fair, as most of the movie remains untouched, but the new ending represents a significant improvement and certainly a value added.
Accepting as replacement to 1560M
fsvgm777: Processing. Dimon12321 is handling the encodes for this one.

(Waits for KusogeMan to finish elaborating on what exactly he's talking about because surely he didn't mean to just leave things on a one sentence explanation, right? :) )

Were your changes so minimal that you don't feel you should be a co-author? Sounds like you did author some of these inputs at least.
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects

Yeah if you applied a visible change as opposed to just trimming the ending, you don't have to resign from co-authorship.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

in the first section of the final dungeon in the game i took a different route to douse a flame and then go back to the city: still i dont think player points are needed for such minimal work, i understand the rules allow for that but i rather have my name in my own work as i didn't find the skip myself and it's the TASers work that allows me make this insertion of inputs, i don't have the skill to TAS a lenghty RPG like this one
TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

So the single skip cut off 3 minutes and 10 seconds? Pretty significant. Were no other improvements in here? Could you link where this skip is documented since right now the submission notes are about as barebones as it gets.

https://youtu.be/zR8xpDOfeLs?si=TfWXz0_bqo4kbh1L This is all I did in the TAS Followed this guide and optimized turns to avoid battles in the dungeon The rest of the TAS is completely unchanged i'll put myself back as author since everybody seems to enjoy the simple skip insertion

Let's get this encoded!
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.
