Overview
Meat boy is a Flash Game developed by Edmund McMillen and Jonathan McEntee. It follows the story of Meat Boy rescuing his partner Bandaid Girl from the evil Dr. Fetus.
This TAS aims to reach the ending cutscene as fast as possible, and it achieves that goal roughly 8 seconds faster than
the old submission by rythin.
Notes
- Slamo is a co-author because I directly used their inputs on the first level. Those inputs came from the 100% TAS.
- A good amount of the saved time is due to the "Faster speed" glitch. You can see an explanation of this glitch on the submission notes of my Meat Boy Map Pack 100% TAS.
- I had problems on Posession (Hell 6, and yes, it's spelled like that) due to the enemy cycles. I circumvented this by switching the order I played the levels in. You can see this difference if you compare this TAS and the old TAS directly.

²*This is one frame less than the actual time saved, for some reason.
- Thanks
- Special thanks to rythin and slamo for TASing this game and showing some of the levels strategies, and, as always, special thanks to CasualPokePlayer for creating a script that allowed me to see how many units I moved every frame. This run would be way worse if it wasn't for this script.

nymx: Claiming for judging.
nymx: So everything looks good here. Really nice time saves...appears to one of those situations that is hard fought for. Congratulations.
As for authorship, I am fine with the selected members. Whenever you barrow inputs from someone to modify, you are building on that. As for obsoleting the previous run...I always see that "time saves", that are made in the early parts of a run, cause things to change from that point on...making it your run now.
