About the movie

Using #6691: ThunderAxe31's GBC Pokémon Puzzle Challenge "Puzzle mode, all levels" in 44:41.01 as a reference, I made some improvements, and saved time by using new unintended solutions.

Differences between Japan and USA versions

Loading times

The loading time for the level selection screen is 20 frames shorter in the Japan version than in the USA version.

extra, 3-1

In the Japan version, a foothold underneath is required to catch the falling block at the last moment. Therefore, it is not possible to beat extra 3-1 with one count remaining.

Unintended solutions

Please refer to #6691: ThunderAxe31's GBC Pokémon Puzzle Challenge "Puzzle mode, all levels" in 44:41.01 for 4-10, 5-2, 6-1, extra 2-1, extra 2-10, and extra 5-8.

4-5

Create the chain by grabbing a falling block in mid-air.

5-4

Save time by clearing all the green blocks first.

7-3

Arrange the red blocks in a inverted-L shape instead of a cross shape.

extra, 2-5

Arrange the red blocks in a cross shape instead of a T shape.

extra, 4-3

Move the green block quickly twice to avoid getting caught in the falling blocks.

extra, 5-2

The order of the chain has been changed.

extra, 5-4

First, clear 12 blocks, then clear the remaining blocks in a chain.

extra, 5-7

By quickly moving the navy block twice, the level beaten with one count remaining.

extra, 5-10

By making full use of frame-perfect trickeries, the chain order was significantly changed.

extra, 6-2

Another example where the order of the chain has been changed.

extra, 6-8

First, erase all the navy blocks, then rearrange the other blocks in mid-air.

Fast cursor movement

Giving the cursor a one block run-up allows it to move fastest in a straight line, e.g. 1-10, 2-5, 2-10, 3-8, etc.

Great job! I didn't expect this improvement. As a Reviewer, I attest that this movie has no technical issues and can be published to obsolete the current publication. By the way, I've converted the movie to GBA mode, so that it can be played back on real hardware without any edits. I've also added the cycle count to the header: User movie #638818383544392847 It's 14 frames longer due to longer BIOS loading, but it has faster timing due to accurate cycle count.
my personal page - my YouTube channel - my GitHub - my Discord: thunderaxe31 <Masterjun> if you look at the "NES" in a weird angle, it actually clearly says "GBA"
