Submission Text Full Submission Page
This run has improved by over 1 minute compared to my previous one, mainly by optimizing the route strategy, reducing input lag and frame drops. Additionally, in the Scissor Man stage, I chose to grab the high-jump item to achieve a speedrun. I also optimized the boss fight speed in certain stages and revamped the entire route since I grabbed the high-jump earlier, changing up the previous strategy.
(Note: If this is for a speedrunning context, terms like "高跳道具" can also be translated as "high-jump upgrade" or "high-jump ability" depending on the game's community usage.)

nymx: Claiming for judging.

nymx: Removing CUI as requested.
nymx: I've been sitting on this for a while for a few reasons, but then the idea of authorship came up and threw a wrench into this. I was busy the night before, but I'm back to close this one out.
In relating to this, I am aware of an unnamed TAS that I wish would get attention, but the author of it doesn't want it to be submitted. It's their wish and I have to respect it. In regard to this TAS, I wasn't up to date on all the history of this situation, but when CUI asked to be taken off...I was a bit confused and curious as to what was going on. So thanks Bigbass for filling me in on the background of this work.
Ownership of any work can be touchy at times, but there are certain rules that I would consider in resolving a situation like this. For this, the majority of the TAS would need to have been written by yourself. According to CUI, it appears you are not. It is good that you included CUI, and that shows you are not trying to directly plagiarize. The fact is, you have submitted work without permission. Please consult any related authors before doing so in the future.
In the meantime, I'm rejecting this strictly on the case of unauthorized ownership.

In the future, if you wish to post an improvement to an existing submission, please do not cancel and resubmit. Instead, upload the improvement to a userfile, then ask a judge (either in the forum or on Discord) to update the submission's movie, and include a link to the new userfile. Additionally, I noticed that you removed nightingale from the author list for #9811: longbao's NES Rockman Claw in 19:10.26. Why did you do this, and did this person contribute at all to this new version of the TAS?

This is a valid question and will require answering. I'm setting this to "Needs More Info", until you do so.
I recently discovered that if you haven't reached a level of frustration with TASing any game, then you haven't done your due diligence. ---- SOYZA: Are you playing a game? NYMX: I'm not playing a game, I'm TASing. SOYZA: Oh...so its not a game...Its for real? ---- Anybody got a Quantum computer I can borrow for 20 minutes? Nevermind...eien's 64 core machine will do. :) ---- BOTing will be the end of all games. --NYMX

Please remove me from the author list. I don't want to be involved in these matters and won't allow others to submit the articles on my behalf in the future. Sorry to trouble the judges.

Now that I'm at home, and not on a phone, I can sit and type up something a little more meaningful. I understand your concerns and you are not troubling us at all. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

longbao, It has been made aware to us that you've submitted this TAS on behalf of CUI without checking with them first. While you did include them as an author, the submission text is written in such a way that it sounds like you, the submitter, are taking credit for the improvements made in the TAS. Yet according to CUI, he was the sole contributor to the changes made from your original movie (besides 2 frames by nightingale.) While I understand there may be a language barrier at play here, your submission offers zero indication that you might be speaking in place of someone else. This is made worse by your complete lack of communication with staff. In addition to my post from 3 weeks ago in this thread, darkman had also attempted to contact you about #9728: longbao's NES Rockman II Deluxe Version in 26:26.70 and was forced to cancel after over a month of no response. Feos is experiencing the same situation with #9729: longbao's NES Rock Man3 Memorial in 27:02.83. Given the concerns of proper attribution in your submissions and your pattern of not communicating with staff, you are no longer allowed to submit movies on the behalf of other authors. If you submit a movie that you have contributed to, but which also involves other authors, each of those authors must themselves confirm that the attributions are correct. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
