Well, I'm not interested in TASing MSX games..... But I'm just putting this post so we can share some MSX games that they want to TAS and to see the full run in the future. Enjoy!

Guardic is related to the infamous Guardian Legend, there might be some interest there.

Um, are these MSX games?? Are you sure? By the way, I put up quite an extensive lists of suggestions on the Wiki (List Of Ideas).

I can remember having a ton of fun as a kid with spectravideo's ninja (available here, along with many other titles: http://www.samdal.com/svsoftware.htm). It was relatively fast paced and would make a good candidate for a TAS

Also, I wonder what Conan game Kurabupengin meant, because there is none for MSX... The Hercules game is there, but it's a bad ZX Spectrum port. Not something I would recommend.

Final Fantasy for MSX2 could look promising, I don't know about technical differences between this game and the NES one, but graphics are slightly improved, and battles seems to be a lot faster, but on the other side walking on world map is very slow. The game itself is based on japanese version of original Final Fantasy, so the improvements made to US NES release (like few graphics changes) were not added as this was released later.

Hi, Wouldn't Sonyc (a homebrew Sonic clone for the MSX2+) be a good game to TAS? Perhaps for the Sonic fanpeople out there? I'd really like to see that one done...

Sofia, a lock and key exploration platformer. Need to collect a few items to get the good ending. Tons of hidden items and paths. I think my key route is good, but as always I could have missed something. There is an excellent Japanese site that shows the map and every hidden thing which majorly helped with routing, http://web1.kcn.jp/kyoto/Sofia/index.html RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeKFsEDjZwQ

Suite Macabre, a homebrew platformer/adventure game. Need to defeat the three bosses. Have to do a few things to get the key to each boss door. I found a floor clip with stairs. If you hit Up then Down on the next frame after starting to climb, you start climbing down thru the floor. Only useful in a few places, most of the stairs take you to an OOB room which leads back to the start of the game. The biggest one is to grab the silver key without getting the fuse and going all the way around. I also happened to underflow my health, tho I was unable to replicate it. Seemed like I maybe did several frame perfect jumps off the ground after dying, so it skipped the death animation, that was my only thought. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4y9YfYBmb1k RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBxixXYBV3g

Souls Keeper, a homebrew platformer from 2021. Run around and collect a few items to get to the underground, then get the spear weapon and beat the two sets of ghosts to get to the final boss. RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TD1OoApAdZs

Couple more homebrew games. Diana's Cave Adventure, really short, just fly around and get the 10 items. RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUQUiBAS-HA Virgil's Purgatory EX, short Metroidvania, there's also a ZX Spectrum version. RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XErWwRCFgRI Zorrico, another short platformer, get keys and items, and there's a bit of backtracking. RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2MsjWqUtzY

TCQ, homebrew platformer. Pretty simple overall, need to do things in a specific order. I found a little skip that doesn't work in the ZX Spectrum version. ROM - https://amaweks.itch.io/tcq RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LujbT_T-z14

Camelot Warriors for MSX, port of the ZX Spectrum original. Linear, really only one way to go, have to get the item in each section and take it to character. Mostly can just buffer jump for long stretches, since it's the fastest movement. I'm sure there are potentially faster cycles I missed, maybe the bee before the water section. Firebird - Hi no Tori Hououhen, a Konami adventure shmup. Goal is to collect the 5 "keys" then you can fight the final boss. It is intended you go thru the stages at least 2 times as you collect more tablets to open more doors and you find the correct path thru. But I noticed that when you die the screen centers vertically where you died, likely a safeguard to stop you from getting caught in a death loop against a wall. So by dying at the bottom of the screen you can move backwards against the screen scroll. In my run I take 13 intentional deaths, which allows me to skip looping the stages many times, and I'm able to collect 3 of the final keys on my first time thru the stages, only briefly warping back to stage 3 at the end. I've got a map of my route if anyone is interested, just let me know. Fastest playthru I found was 27 mins, so my route cuts 15 minutes off that. I also found some kind of crit on the final boss, I don't know for sure what causes it. My theory is that I'm hitting the boss on the same frame I'm killing one of the shurikens, so the "death" of the shuriken is transferred to the boss. I have a clip but I have kill the boss immediately on the right side as soon as the fight starts. Booga-Boo, super short platformer, less than a minute. Basically it's Jump King, you can only move by jumping and you have a meter for how long the jump is. Just need to make it back to the top then it loops. There also are ports for C64, ZX Spectrum and Amstrad. This was the latest port. RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YD5yCV_Py1o

Abu Simbel Profanation, a flip screen platformer. Trolly and difficult game, easy to get caught in a death loop. You go thru the game touching symbols to unlock doors to progress further. You have a big jump and a small jump if you hold the Fire button. No RNG in individual rooms, but the teleporter near the end is random, it is determined by the color of the giant diamond early in the run. I do not know when it gets set. The only room cycle I know for sure I am missing is the ring enemy in room 7, it was inconsistent with how you can get caught on the wall. This is a port of the ZX Spectrum original, and there are a bunch of other ports, but this felt more playable. RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhjrPsQJdHU
