Intro

Miko Blade is a simple platformer for the fictional computer, TIC-80, the game was made by a Japanese game developer known as SUMA. You control a girl known as Miko and use your blade (hence the name Miko Blade) to get though levels while also defeating demons.

Goals

  • Try to beat the game as fast as possible
  • Make the run somewhat entertaining

Levels

  • Stages 1, 2, and 3
    • Nothing too special with these stages, just dash and jump through demons.
  • Stages 4 and 5
    • At the beginning, it's the same as stages 1, 2, and 3. But there's a boss fight at the end of both stages, and the only thing you have to do to defeat the boss quickly is to dash through it and make sure you hit it on the very first frame.

Emulation

  • BizHawk 2.11 was used to make this TAS (TAStudio not used)

Other notes

I couldn't find a speedrun of this game no matter what, so I had to do this without a reference, which wasn't so challenging, because of how simple the game is when it comes to moves. There also isn't really any secrets in the game, hence why I'm leaving the goal name unused. Hope you enjoy this TAS!

It's neat that someone else has an interest in this game. I actually have a run I never did get the time to do a second pass on that is faster than your submission: User movie #638557507722280309 The main thing I wanted to look over my inputs was getting the fastest per frame movement that's also just cost effective throughout the levels. I wouldn't mind if you checked my work out to see if it could be pushed further.

Since you have a faster run, I'mma go ahead and cancel my run, I'mma see if I can improve my run too.
