When playing such games like Zelda OT, when pressing the start button, it takes a really long time to load Zelda's Inventory, Map, etc. in the start menu. Can this be fixed?

And don't refer to the game as OT, for fear of a Ganon-ban

"1. Spelling it "Gannon" - Folks, the boss of The Legend of Zelda is GANON. Yes, I know the intro: spells it "Gannon". If you are referring to THIS SCREEN, you may say GANNON. If you use that spelling ANYWHERE else besides speaking of Richard Gannon, that loser QB for the Oakland Raiders, you will be GANNON-BANNED." http://www.gannon-banned.com/gbindex.htm

my friend has a good graphics card and when he presses start in the game it does the same thing it does on mine(it shows a white screen for like 5 seconds)then goes to the inventory.

How do I enable it? And also, if this might be the problem. Under the Config Plugins, Whats your video, input, sound, and RSP plugin? And under General, what you have checked.

well if you can, play the game and when you are able to control Link, press start and see if you have a white screen pop up for like 7 seconds. It seems like when I push start, the fps go way down from 20 to 5 and the VI goes way up from 60 to 170. How to I limit these for Mupen to be Idle at 20 and 60

Isn't this a common problem that always happens at least to some extent no matter what you do? I think the time it takes for the inventory to pop up can be reduced somehow (Bag's suggestion maybe?) but I don't think you can get rid of it entirely.

The Legend Of The Zelda: The Ocarina Of The Time! That's almost as good as Legends Of Zeldas: Links Have Many Adventures. ....So who's gonna modify Mupen 64 for that reset button input thing? Don't make ME do it!

So do you think it is a emulator problem or a problem with the rom itself. And lets say a TAS is performed on the game in lets say under 3 hours. Will the whiteness that comes up when start is pressed for the menu be excluded from the avi file if it is accepcted. If it you can excerpt the white in the avi, time will be reduced by ~5.5 seconds each time start is pressed to bring up the menu.

Well I certainly am not comfortable with the idea of editing the .avis to show or not show anything that happens or doesn't really happen when playing the game on an emulator, and I'm pretty sure Bisqwit isn't either. The point of the movies has always been that they are not edited, even if it is just to cut out waiting time.

Will the whiteness that comes up when start is pressed for the menu be excluded from the avi file if it is accepcted. It's an emulator problem. If you recorded the whiteness in your movie, it will show up in the AVI. Actual changes to the AVI are very rare. BoMF wasn't very helpful when he tried to help, but anyway there is an option called "Copy Framebuffer to RDRAM" somewhere under graphics options in Mupen64. That's all I know, since I have only read about it elsewhere. Try searching the forum for that command. This should be FAQed.

When I check "Copy Framebuffer to RDRAM" the game starts to run really slow.

It probably doesn't matter since you'll still play in slow motion. Do you think movies will desync if it is checked and unchecked at certain places (like long cutscenes)?
