Hi,
I really don't want to be annoying but when I use the XVID 1.0.1 distribution from
http://www.koepi.org, all I get is the crash - even after a clean installation.
If I use the XVID-Codec that came with the most current ffdshow I could find (from somewhere in 2003 - definitely older than Xvid 1.01), the videos do work.
So either the videos (just speaking from the newly added ones encoded by Phil) are encoded using an earlier version or the build provided by koepi has a bug (which is very well possible). If the latter is the case: What solution do you suggest for watching those videos on a Windows Platform (I'm unable to use linux on my current computer) while still using a moderatly current XVID codec?
The only binary (I only have Visual Studio 2003 where which does not seem to like the current sourcecode) 1.0.1 distribution for Windows I could find is Koepi's build which crashes while decoding those new videos, despite me making a clean installation.
But it's not that important as I have a solution for now.
Many thanks anyway.
Philip
