YES YES IT DIDN'T DESYNC.
1. I think Kokiri Forest strat could be improved
2. Very good movement in Hyrule
3. I think you can advance further right in Lake Hylia to avoid swimming swimming a longer distance
4. I couldn't be certain but you're not press B very ofter while smimming
5. Fishing game I think was better than last time
6. Very good dive to the bottle
7. Hyrule castle seam is probally my favourite after the bombchu boost in Jabu
8. That last set of guards doesn't look right at all, you diagonally back walk for a lengthy period, I'm not so sure you choose the best side. I'm not sure if you entered the court right at all
9. LOL thats a carbon copy of what I do when I talk to Zelda
10. That was a scary speed to play the lullaby.
Well done.
The Publisher Guidelines mention that the TAS-disclaimer should be positioned during gameplay, so it'll stay in the video even if someone cuts the intro off.
If you already started encoding, don't worry about it - it's not THAT important for a test-run. Just keep it in mind for future encodings, if you'll be doing any.
Yep, didn't desynch from the start :). I even made a save-state, and it plays from there (but don't start re-recording from the save state, as that might cause desynchs. I'm at work now, so I can't upload it... till nighttime (10 hours from now), and I probably wont even upload it. heh.
The stuff that AKA mentioned is quiet minor (maybe not the guard stuff, but it looked ok to me), so it should be noted for a future run, unless you want to go back and redo all of it ;).
Off topic, AKA are you European (looks at spelling of favourite)?
That's the British spelling (<rant>A.K.A. the original spelling before America changed it and demanded the world do the same.</rant>)
Also, Canadians often prefer British spelling, and Australians usually do, and neither are in Europe.
Hmm. Why does my explanation sound more confrontational than I intended?
What AKA said.
(@AKA: He does press B while swimming -- you can see his inputs next to the frame counter.)
* Nice seamwalk and bombchu boost, especially taking out the bombchu early to save time.
* In the castle courtyard, would rolling along the fence be faster than sidehopping? The last set of guards and entering the inner courtyard was indeed weird...
* Nice, you finally got how to play ocarina songs quickly.
So well done...take a break if you'd like, but this is what's coming up:
* Castle gates --> Lake Hylia --> Zora's Domain (this is the most practical route considering how much health you still have left)
* Zora's Domain - Pick up five Deku Nuts from the pot next to the sign pointing to King Zora's chamber. You can use the B button to fast-forward the text that comes up when you pick up the nuts.
* Zora's Ftn - Roll into Jabu-Jabu. Easier said than done, of course.
* Jabu-Jabu - Same as last time, except you can use your Deku Nuts for a faster Boomerang room and Barinade battle.
There are three 'difficult' tricks left in the child portion:
(1) rolling into Jabu-Jabu
(2) doing the bombchu blast in Jabu
(3) seamwalking on Death Mountain Trail
The last trick will be frustrating, but TSA's doing it in his console run, so it can be mastered with practice.
I just watched the Beginning->Child Spirit segment on AVI, and I am extremely impressed. If anyone is willing to make an AVI of GuanoBowl's current progress, I would appreciate it very much. Great job on the speedrun, please keep it up.
Demanded? HAH! I doubt that anyone even cares...
The British forced the original spelling upon the "world" through imperialism...
Anyways, I'm British, well, born in England...
Back on topic. MWL, we don't want to go to Zora's Domain through the River route because it require a bombchu to denotate the boulders near the magic bean dude, right?
What about going to Kakiro well now? Will we still not have enough bombchus? Forgive me if this has been discussed already...
Absolutely. The remaining eight bombchus will be used as follows:
1 & 2. Jabu-Jabu miniboss skip
3. Open Lost Woods -> Goron City warp
4 & 5. Light eyes in Dodongo's
6. Open boss chamber in Dodongo's
7 & 8. Remove boulders on DM Trail
We're not going to do this. Instead, we'll manipulate luck to win the Bigger Bomb Bag from Bombchu Bowling right before the Temple of Time. After pulling the Master Sword, we'll "magically" have 30 bombs to use on C-down. (Another one of those odd glitches discovered by Kazooie.) No adult puzzle requires bombchus, and bombs are quite useful for a few timesavers later on (see Sacred Forest Meadow + Forest Temple).

I really do hate the Bomb Blast in Jabu. It took me literally 2000+ re-records to do it the first try. But this time, the boost should be a hell of a lot easier because of the Deku Nuts in the Boomerang room which will save a good 5-7 seconds which will give me time to prepare for the boost.
Also, I still think you can light both eyes at once. Just like rolling into Jabu, there is a way to do it. As well as the poe boost.
Change my sig. again, and I will murder your pet fish.
Doesn't work.
He only gives you the upgrade once you've collected the basic bomb bag from Dodongo's Cavern.
I tried hitting the rolling Goron 11x with Bombchus and bombs. Each time I got the "don't stop me" message.

Would getting the Deku Stick in the jar RIGHT NEXT to the jar with the Deku Nuts be good? It takes literally 1 to 2 seconds getting the stick and could save precious time on a boss. Let me know before I continue.

I'm still rather new to the TAS route, but I believe the only fights you really need to fight are bossfights or minibosses, you skip the lizalfos or whatever they are called in dodongo, you skip the miniboss in jabujabu, there is no miniboss in deku tree. That leaves 3 bosses for which you need sticks (preserve damage through crouch stabbing, you only need one maximum per area).
Then there's child spirit temple. Do you need sticks for it? From the wiki it seems 2, which totals up to 5. 3 from the plants on the way to deku tree, and 2 more in Zora's Domain in a jar you pass right by (are you talking about this one?).
Hm, unless you pass it by only once. Are you doing the empy bottle on switch trick? That requires catching a fish, so you have to backtrack after emptying your bottle.
I don't think you'll need it.
The only two bosses left are Barinade and King Dodongo...and you have enough time in both battles to perform "missed jumpslashes."
Ah yes, I've heard about that 30 bombchus trick. Quite random to say the least.
This is to visit the Great Fairy, right? How do we get inside her chamber? Are there bomb-flowers around? Or Did Arcyte ever show us how to glitch into her place?
Holy Posting Batman!
Fairy without bombs.

(oops, forgot the end is a different video)
BTW, it's 30 bombs. Not bomchu's. You win the greater bomb bag, and it's filled with 30 bombs. You can't equip bombs because you never got them, but they are equiped by default when you become adult. Voila, a magical 30 free bombs.
Sorry, but what are all the places you use ground jump? Just there?
BTW, the WIP desyncs right before the vine. Is it me? Same plugins, same rom, raw data checked...
