I know. But when he has to unequip them anyway (for the bomb jump), he should unequip them as soon as possible.

Is there anyone working on a fix to that white-screen stuff anyway? It's a shame that a run of such high quality is marred by that crap so often.

In the final .avi, I guess you could just cut it out. Dunno about a mupen movie, though.

Well, if it makes it any better, you can hold tab for a second or two when the white screen pops up. It's not possible to remove it from the mupen movie, but yeah, it is possible to remove it from an .avi. However, considering this site, the chance of that being done in the published .avi is none.

Like someone said earlier, the white screen doesn't appear if you check "Copy framebuffer to RDRAM". The avi should be made with this checked, but then it's not possible to use antialiasing.

Like someone said earlier, this causes desyncs unless everyone has the exact same gfx board or there is a pure software gfx plugin. and the only software gfx-plugin is still too beta to use.

Tub, did you read the following sentence? Only for making the AVI, which I agree with. You can't just cut the white screen out of the avi, because the music is still playing.

...But it'll desync when you try to make the avi then... -_- What part of "causes desyncs" do you not understand?

I needed to do a jump attack and preserve the power correct? If so, I have got this up to the Mirror Shield. Enjoy http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=E38BFDE352472F9C Sorry for the bad save state, Im just in a big hurry. Just under 2 hours too! Question: Will the white screen time be shaved off during the .avi so like a minute taken off or so? Also, I cannot find where it was posted earlier. Would my final inventory be Deku Nuts/Hookshot/Fairy Bow?

Gonna watch now. About the screen issue, I doubt it. But hey, you know exactly how to avoid it during your version 2 run ;) Edit: Just finished viewing your WIP. Everything looked pretty well planned and smooth. Maybe you could have taken another health to avoid the beeping sound during your backwalking across the game. Also, I definitely would suggest taking one more health refill when you are waiting for that knight guy to die so your health is 100% full.

Aw, I was hoping you redid forest when I saw the save state... You could definitely take the hover boots off right after you get the first key in the tree, and of course the block pushing. Gonna watch the rest of it now.

That was about a minute faster than TSA. So we're guaranteed a sub-2:39 now. Just to make sure...you confirmed that soft-pushing the Silver Gauntlets block was faster than going on top of it, right? Did you try super-sliding to the other hand to get the small key? It might be possible, or the distance may be a little too great. It's hard to say. What happens when you skip the Iron Knuckle? I'm guessing that the door to SC 10 (the Armos/switch room) remains locked? The only items you'll need for Ganon's Castle are Light Arrows and Deku Nuts. I'd recommend Light Arrows/Bombs/Deku Nuts. You won't need the Hookshot.

I disagree. He's going to have to die again after Twinrova, this time to the Leevers. You want as little health remaining as possible in order to save time.

during the fight with the skeletons on the boat in theshadow temple, is it possible to manipulate luck so that they give hearts ? he had to get health later in the stage (wasting time) but in the case im suggesting he has to wait on the boat anyways so it wouldnt waste time to get health there

Sitting at the Lubbock Airport(which lost our bags). Go figure. I maybe grabbed 1 too many hearts after the battle. I need 1/2-1/4 of a heart left after the Twinrova battle for leevers. Ill see what I can do. MWL, from hand to hand, its impossible. The gap is way too wide.

Er...okay. THAT was weird... <_<' I've been watching the run in Mupen...same 1.0 rom, same plugins, raw data checked, and downloaded the latest drivers for my video card...and every time, the entire emulator crashes after the deku tree, around frame 49450 (right after the "wicked man from the desert" line). o_O Anyone have any ideas as to what might be the problem? What I saw so far looked quite impressive, and I'd really like to see the rest...I suppose I could ask for a savestate right after that, but that wouldn't really help the problem itself. =P

I'm not sure. Is there a setting that makes it ignore crashing stuff like that?

This used to happen with me, in a specific frame too (right before Navi crash in the fence on her way to Link's House). This bug stopped as suddenly as it started.. But nitsuja told me some tips..

What plugins are you using? Does it still crash if you change all of the plugins to something else? Also, try going to Options->Settings... and see if choosing "Pure Interpreter" from the General tab changes anything, or if enabling the two Compatibility Options in the Advanced Settings tab changes anything. (Also, it's a good idea to try re-downloading and installing the emulator to a new folder and test to see if it works there.)
