Well, now that this run has been finished, there needs to be a Full Game, and a 100% run. :3 By full game, I mean, no source breaking, unless it doesn't dramatically interfere with the normal game play. ;3 I'm sure 100% is self explanitory. xD

There is no purple tunic, unless you're colorblind, in which case you might see an orange, black and purple tunic.

There is a pretty good definition of what constitutes 100% on SDA. I never memorized it due to my lack of interest, but it goes something like this: * All inventory, equipment, and quest items (so that includes BGS, Lens of Truth, all bottles, etc.) * Have to get Epona * Dungeon maps/compasses/navigational aids not necessary

Just go to the first page of the 100% run discussion. ;)

Just a thought, in v1.0 there is a bug which precludes getting the second deku nut upgrade after you have visited the future. This means it must be collected (which means getting the Mask of Truth) before going into the future, which is slow. However, v1.1 has the changed Fire Temple music and the less stabbity ending, and more green blood. :(

Aren't those changes only in v1.2? Or, supposedly there are different versions called 1.1:

EDIT (off-topic): funny video, (nevermind the ending) if you've never seen an Arwing in a Zelda game. Too bad there's no way to make it appear without using a cheat code.

100% means getting every shop item and game prize and all perfect game records and blowing open every rock and hole and opening every treasure chest, right? Don't forget to steal the fishing guy's hat and lose it! I'm serious!

I imagine a 100% run would be pretty slow and boring. But how about a run collecting all 100 skulltulas as quickly as possible?

100 skulltulla run would be very boring to watch as you would just use the endless skulltula collecting technique. Anyway it should be part of a more wider 100% run.

Yeah you're right of course I'm not thinking about a 100 skulltula run using that technique, sorry. I meant a run collecting the 100 skulltulas the way you're supposed to.

With a gameshark you can get pretty much any color. Doesn't matter if the above is an official picture, I think the glitch/trick to get a purple one would be known by now.

100 skulltula would not only be boring for most watching it but also for the person doing it..

Well. It's not like the person doing the run would have to go for every Skulltula all at once. With optimization, a 100% run would be maybe an hour, to an hour and a half longer. I figure the Skulltulas could be collected in their respected areas. And getting Epona would make this run quite a bit faster I believe. Definately faster than walking backward and such. I have managed to optimize Epona's speed myself. I use every carrot, but I wait until the speed boost from an already used carrot is about to wear off before using another. Using all carrots will make the speed last longer, plus if you run out, all of the carrots will be replenished in just a few seconds. Well. I'm going to play some Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor, to prepare myself a bit for Dungeons and Dragons Online. ;3

compared to a non-sequence-broken run, not compared to this one, right?

depends on the distance and horse location. Also, you can't use Epona in any of the areas that really matter, at least TSAs run didn't walk that much over hyrule field as an adult. Also remember that playing Epona's Song takes some time as well. for those that don't know yet, YautjaElder is currently doing a segmented 100% run on a console. His finished segments can be watched here on youtube.

No way hosae could you ever do a 100% run in 4 hours, since a lot of the sequence breaks are negligable. I would be amazed if 6 hours was broken for a 100% run. I don't think you could collect every skulltula in its relvent location, the duplicating trick probally saves about 20 mins in a run (even I personally disaprove of that trick) . There's not that much distance to travel with Epona, you could certainly get him very quickly without the need to race Ingo. It would simply be quicker to back run; whip out a bomb; shield drop and then do a superslide, which was something that Guano never took advantage of in his run.

I'm not sure why, but Zelda 100% does not appeal to me, even in just playing. As opposed to Metroid where I consider it more important than just finishing the game. I have no idea why this difference exists in my mind, but I think Bag's comment makes a point that "100%" is not perfectly defined within the constraints of the game, although there is a common accepted definition among the speedrunning communities.

You are right. I forgot that the current run skipped at least an hour and a half to two and a half hours of gameplay with all of the source breaks. That run just doesn't appeal to me at all, mainly because of the source breaking to skip through most of the game.
