Time Survival Lake Fever in 5 seconds (355 frames) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=in5zP-C91BA http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/859837626/M4.dsm this one required almost a month of tests trying to crack the RNG, those 4 attacks are 71% - 85% - 78% - 78% with 30 luck, you can guess how hard it is to get all the kills in a row without losing a single frame for humans this strategy is impossible, Colin+Kindle are the best

about the AI thing, if it's the same as AWDS we at least kinda know when it attacks your units with bad match ups, movements though I have no idea about and knowing would be good
The AI may sometimes move its units next to yours but refrain from firing. AFAIK, this rare behavior is at least the key to the fastest Toy Box strategy.
that sounds like a normal movement behaviour, it's just a coincidence you're near them, in AWDS to determine whether to attack or not, the AI makes a battle estimation before moving, if it ends up being good for them it attacks, otherwise doesn't (I don't know the precise numbers but other people do) if it's the same in AW2 you'd need to manipulate the RNG to make AI estimate a bad battle I'll try that other emulator version

I wanted a bottom screen only encode to upload to my YT for it, but not knowing how to do it, I'm asking you guys if anyone can be kind enough to provide that for me, here I made a .rar containing ROM+save+input file: <link>
Please remove this asap, it's not allowed to share ROM files in the forums.
sorry, I didn't know

I don't hear this from other strategy games. Fire Emblem players make videos all the time of their low-turn playthroughs, something which the serious FE players are competitive about, and no-one there complains about how the mystery of the strategy is ruined. There are debates in other areas, naturally, but this is not one that comes up. Simple solution - if you want to figure it out for yourself, don't watch the TAS.
the problem comes from the fact that this competitive player I'm talking about is an user of an highscoring website, and people would watch videos and tie his scores, making them rank higher on that website (which is wrong) if there was no such website, he wouldn't have had a problem with sharing strategies

That's kind of stupid...
you can't understand it unless you competitively play the game

there was an almost full TAS on YT, with all (at the time) highscores, I think 2 or so highscores have been improved since, it was really cool but I think it was taken down because an user complained saying it was giving away all the strategies to make the highscores, while he felt players should figure them out themselves (this came from a competitive player of the game so it makes sense) anyway, I made a random G-6 (1-6 in US version) TAS that gets the best possible score, improving by 1 second (10 points) over the previous TAS/human record, I think it's the first strategy that's only possible by TAS, I've tried it humanly and I doubt anyone will ever do it I wanted a bottom screen only encode to upload to my YT for it, but not knowing how to do it, I'm asking you guys if anyone can be kind enough to provide that for me, here I made a .rar containing edit: save+input file http://www.mediafire.com/?a57rbdea7oyxbw5 the ROM used is European version Flygon said he'll do it when he's not busy, but if someone else wants to do it already be my guest the input file is 3k frames, 1k of which are useless nonTAS'd menus which should be removed, the encode should start from the black screen before the level starts to the end of the input file with the score on screen

The game would actually be a bit shorter, since there are more opportunities to use the two Kongs to save time by taking hits. Unfortunately, by not using the TUFST code it doesn't get the highest % rating. Personally, I don't think a codeless 100% run needs to be done since it would be virtually the same, with a lot more death abuse, and ruin the entertainment value.
I'm very sure I've read that the code was used because it makes the game shorter, with the code, you get both Kongs at the start of each level, DK Barrels would only waste time by hitting them since the game stops for a short amount of time, and you don't get default 2 Kongs at the start of the level, or at least that's what I gather from having read that the code makes it faster, by how much, I don't know

oh about that, B makes Squawks fly faster, turbofiring it is the best method I assume, but it's questionable for Engarde, he does that attack that speeds him up with B, but I don't know if turbofiring it is the best way to go… I'd assume so

it actually gets to the 105% screen automatically? I tried pressing fast forward a little but thought I had to press a button personally I think it's not important to show the 105% screen, the screen with "The End" is where the game has been completed… about an encode I guess DarkKobold answered it edit: what I wouldn't have liked was not scrolling quickly through the final's cutscene text due to ending input ASAP, but I think you can't scroll it?
