What would be the time on N64 with this ? close to sub 5 too I guess ? Hopefully Snark (or Tyler or someone else) will still find a few optimizations :)

Also in the submission, the time is 21:57.13 because I ended the movie after the credits but actually the last input is the final blow on Maggie which gives us a time of 15:25.52 (from power on to last input) Sorry about that '-'

Hey guys ! So I just wanted to tell, Tomiy and I, made the whole TAS of Zapper, we will submit it on TASvideo soon. Here is a WIP I made some time ago if you want to check it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4RK3tmIHe0 (and actually we managed to improve this level by a second) We will explain the strats we used during the submission :) There are not a lot of glitches in this game but still some tricks to explain... Here is Tom's channel where you can see a lot of Individual Level and speedrun of the game https://www.youtube.com/user/tomiyVideos/videos He's the main speedrunner of the game and the wr holder of any% and 100% I hope you'll enjoy the TAS and we hope this can bring some competition in the (small, BibleThump) community !

That would be amazing if you manage to do hyperspeed on the fence to reach RR with 0 A press (or even TTC ?!)

Well ok I agree for the slides. You can't hover to the chest that would be to easy x) the problem when you do GIM is: you can't use explosives, technically you can but you'll just drop it and it will never explodes :/ The wrong warp chus% was supposed to be the new TAS and I said not "possible" because yes indeed this is possible in RTA (this is even how I discovered it, I just used savestates) but this is just insane to pull it of in RTA. But anyway I never really watch strats/discoveries etc... on TASvideo, I have enough knowledge for usual stuff x)

Z-slide ? A-slide ? Also the wrong warp chus% is not really "possible" in RTA I think there is a way to get fire arrows in deset colossus thanks to GIM (by humping the silver gauntlets chest) but you have to do a crazy long hover with a guay this is just not possible in RTA, literraly. Also I think there is a wrong warp that is TAS only ? I saw a vid of it in fire temple and this is used in ganonless TAS I guess. There are probably other stuff

Hey there, I don't really now if I have to cretae a topic here so I'm sorry if it's not the good place. So I tried to TAS Ocarina of Time but I got a weird desync with the frames. While TASing, I had to pass 4 frames to advance 1 frame (usually it's 3 because the game is at 20 fps) it happenned one more time a few frames later and then again a few frames later I had to pass 2 frames instead of 3, it seems the game wanted to autocorrect that, so I thought it wasn't a big deal. But after replaying my movie I realized Link was wainting a little bit before doing a sidehop and he also missed a ruppee, I was also supposed to catch a rock at the very end, the input to grab it is here, but he does it a little bit earlier and so he didn't grabbed it... Anyway if someone know why this happened and how I can correct it that would be great :) Also I'm on Bizhawk 1.9.1

There is a ~3 pixel wide gap in the collision there. He targeted just in the right spot so Link jumped over it, instead of just walking over. I bet with blank A you could just fall through. Looking around, forest temple is kinda shoddily designed all around. A few gaps in the collision here and there, lots of oob floors, etc.
oooh That's interesting, thank you :D that's quite weird, we need to find a way to activate blank A as adult ^^ And yes he used UoT... I guess

Actually I loved the commentary, quite cool, this is hard to comment a video of 3h guys. Posting this video on TASvideo will be hard in my opinion because the restriction is kinda pointless, however the glitches are still incredible and the video really cool to watch (with or without sound)

Still the same question, would it be allowed to use another plugin that didn't crash ?

I heard from Mzxrules (no from is mounth but this is what I saw on some chats) that there is an infinite loop when the Link put the item above his hands. I also heard you can still get the glitched item (blue potion, Light arrow...) on N64 if it was possible to interupt somehow the animation of Link when he puts he item above his hands although there is still no way to do that. Edit: By the way as Slowi said "So just like the good old stick-on-B-as-adult-situation. :D" I don't really know what was decided back in the time, but I'm almost sure I've seen some wr in any% made with this without breaking the stick as child before.

No it really crashes, and for the same chest, sometimes it's not even the same error (sometimes I even got an error, but after clicking "ok" I could still play like nothing happened) Really I don't understand too why the graphic plugin matters so much

AFAIK the glitch works on emulators with recompiler just like it does on VC...
More or less, to sum up the most important: VC: Deku nuts: fine deku seeds: crash (note that those one are the most important because this glitch is very hard to pull it off with magic and stick) Deku sticks: should work Magic: ? GC: As far as I know it's the same thing as VC N64: crashcrashcrahsshrachashcarahchrash IQue: Deku nuts: crash deku seeds: ? it might works but who care because IQue was only used in any%... magic: ? deku sticks: ? I don't really have informations about IQue sorry Emulator, the most important for the TAS community: Deku nuts: crash Deku seeds: fine Magic: as far as I can tell, it should work Deku stick: It depends (?) That's why I think the GIM (Get Item Manipulation) won't be faster for any% TAS because nuts crash and it's probably too slow to take the slingshot (maybe not tho) BUT... As a speedrunner I was really sad when I realized that nuts crash on emu (I'm an emu player, I can't play on VC) so without paying attention to the rules of zsr, I tried to modify my emulator, and I changed the video plugin (mine was Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.57-ver5) if you put the plugin Mudlord's Rice Video Build 6.1.4 then the deku nuts won't crash anymore, and the deku seeds neither ! (I guess magic and sticks should work too, I also tried deku sticks on B and half of Link's body disappeared, but the emu didn't crash) So pretty much it depends of the plugin (which is quite incredible in my opinion) I guess it could be allowed to use another plugin since Mudlord's Rice is a bad plugin (especially about the pause buffer oh my gosh....) and it's not faster at all than any other version, obviously if you do GIM with nuts then it won't be allowed to do it with deku seeds because it's supposed to crash on VC, it seems legit for me after all, I'm playing on a ROM 1.0 and I don't use blank A even if I could. (oh by the way every version on emulators crash or work for the same item example: Deku nuts crash on jap 1.0 but also on 1.2 US or PAL etc...) Voilà, excuse my bad english u_u

No need to do the TAS now, Skater literaly destroyed OOT, I would say again, but this time it's just an incredible found
