I don't care for beer either, but I can tolerate it. I don't drink regularly; it's mostly just when I'm in social gatherings. I've only gotten drunk once, and the end result... wasn't too pleasant. After that, I've watched myself so that I don't end up getting sloshed and possibly spewing chunks everywhere. I don't really act stupid when I'm a drunkard anyway; just slightly more social. Amusement.

And now, the origin of my names. Whee. "Anon" is short for "anonymous". For most of the boards that I'm on, I don't really have any identity or presence... I just lursk about in the shadows and strike unexpectedly. It kinda fits me. (Its archaic use means "soon", which I thought was cool or something. I suppose that could be due to the fact that I procrastinate a lot.) On some boards, my name is "Anon Spectre". I ended up submitting something to Fanfiction.net a long time ago, before it split off to FictionPress. And naturally, "Anon" was taken, and there were about 19554613760 members named "Anon <something>". So eventually I decided to take a part of one of my old usernames on another board, and volia. And n-*ninja!*

For me, the ending sequence start from 1:13:25 and hero has been renamed to THIEF because the bow was stolen. But it is not completely renamed since when you quit the game and load it, you will see hero's real name. If we search carefully, I am sure we can find find the memory address for yes="THIEF". So naming the hero to Thief when starting the game is pointless because we can prove that it is truly a THIEF. And being THIEF really affects the game.
It affects the game in the sense that you can't go back into the shop, but this doesn't matter because the player already has all the items that he needs anyway. Seeing as being renamed "THIEF" doesn't affect the ending of the game as a whole, then I don't really see what the problem is. To me, it's about the same as requesting a TAS for a game that doesn't exploit minor bugs.

Browsing by "No death" is even more improbable since that's what all the TASes do unless they have "Uses death as shortcut" tag. The "No death" tag is all-round redundant.
Effing co-sign. If you're doing a TAS, then chances are you aren't going to be dying unless it saves time. So "no death" is basically stating "Hey guys, I'm doing something what you would normally do in a TAS anyway!"

I don't see why people aren't up in arms about the "Ignores semi-important goals in the game" tag, since that seems much more irrelevant than two different but supposedly similar tags.
I don't like that tag either.
Considering that published movies now have tags in the game header (any%, 100%, all Emeralds, what have you), is this tag even really needed anymore?

Style-switch sounds nice. I use 1024×768, so I still have scrolling to do. This new layout doesn't make everything nice and neat, it makes things cluttered and unnecessary. Ack. Ick.

EDIT: Works when I add www. to the domain name.
Now that is odd, because www. is not part of the domain name, and I get a 404 if (and only if) I add that.
That's funny, because the link only worked for me when I added www. to it. So it looks like Bisqwit isn't the only odd one out here.

Ditto. Sounds like an interesting "side-quest" to take up for a TAS. But then, I might be the only one of the few that thinks so. Two questions: #1. Is there a Perfect Bonus for Sonic 1 as well? #2. Why isn't it possible to get Perfects on the second acts of AR, MC, OO, and all acts of Metropolis?

Is the author still working on this run, or it is officially dead? ( 'Twould be too bad if it was. This is one of the few RPGs that I'm hoping gets the TAS treatment.

I just had a new game thought. Blue Sphere. aka the game that you play when you lock on Sonic 1 and Sonic and Knuckles. (

Despite the fact that I found watching the actual runs to be "meh" (even thought I knew I was witnessing hax incarnate), I'm definitely looking forward to this one. Btw, I still say that someone should name their rival "Bisqwit". :V

For the life of me, I couldn't bring myself to watch one of these runs before. Mostly because I'd figure that by not knowing what was going on, then it could go completely over my head, and the meaning would be lost to me. So basically, this is how the run went for me: "...okay, I have no idea what's going on." *fateful seconds later!* "o_o How in the fu-" *replay* "...how in the fu-" I still don't thin that I have any better idea of just what is going on, but the experience was mind-blowing to say the least. Yes vote.

... You not only broke this game, but you also broke my brain. I hope you're happy. Now excuse me while I debate watching this run for a third time within the past forty-eight hours. (In case you couldn't tell, this is a yes vote.)

Very entertaining run. And unlike the current SMB2j runs, this one completes everything, so that's a definite plus. Yes please.

...by the way. Just out of curiosity, but did anyone else watch the boss fight of Toy Kingdom, and thought that Tails was getting payback on Sonic for having to follow him around in the Genesis games?

Wow. Not only is the gameplay similar, but I-No Fransesca also manages to use the same glitches. How amusing. Yes votage.

This is easily one of the best runs that I've seen on this site. You definitely put the "Fabian" in "Fabian Barrio Dumptruck PlaneSnake". Now if you excuse me, I need to go see a doctor about picking up my jaw from off the floor.

I remember back when I was in middle school and someone brought this game in on the last day of school. Everyone was breaking out with 99-hit Ultras. Seeing as I doubt you're necessarily going for time, think you could throw one of those in there?

link Dunno how many here know about this, so I thought that I would bring it to everyone's attention. The main premise is that there isn't any leveling up; hence the name of the hack. You still gain technique points, but that's about it. Instead of relying on levels, you'll have to rely on items and weapons/armor that you find throughout the game. There are also some other modifications, such as characters tweaks, the addition of gems to replace tabs (sell them for money), and items that normally aren't sold in the original game. I just thought that it was worth checking out, is all. [Edit by Bisqwit: Added a relevant indicator in the thread title]

Man, that was all kinds of awesome to watch. This run needs to be published asap. Definite yes vote. Also, it would be kinda funny if this run got a sta*bricked*

if you kill one character, it respawns in the exact same spot he died, so you cant make use of "death as a shortcut", when they die you can´t move from the actual scene until they respawn again.
Ouch. So much for jumping in pits and reappearing elsewhere on the screen. :S

Voted no. While the concept is novel, all throughout watching the TAS I got the feeling that not everyone was doing what they could have been doing. (Probably had something to do with bunching them up in groups of two.) That kinda killed the flow of the movie for me. Btw, while I don't know that much about the game, isn't it possible to kill off a character or two when they're lagging behind and still keep the bone? Besides, it doesn't seem right that not one person dies in the game, seeing as it's based on a horror movie and all. ;p

*watches wip run* ...damnit, now I'm gonna have nightmares. Don't get me wrong, your TAS is astounding. But the way you just rip through the game mercilessly and ignoring the cries of "stawp" and "NO PLZ D:" coming from the rom? That's gonna haunt me for months to come. Btw, my friend has this to say about the second Bob-omb Battlefield star that you collected: <Digito> I had been right in the middle of eating a skittle, <Digito> And I just left it there in my mouth. <Digito> I'm pretty sure I stopped breathing too. <Digito> Afraid that if I breathed, <Digito> Mario would feel it through the TAS, <Digito> And ninjashank me from Bomb Omb Battlefield. <Digito> With his ninjadash. <Digito> His reverse ninjadash. <Digito> He'd just turn around, <Digito> Plow into my head at omgwtfhax MPH, <Digito> And keep on going for the star. <Digito> Then hunt down any vaugely star shaped object in my house and take it. <Digito> And the police wouldn't even know where to start. <Digito> 'cause he's a goddamned ninja Good work. Looking forward to the full run.
