https://www.dropbox.com/s/uui0z448e2hx3lz/Kaizo%20Mario%20Bros.%203-3.png?dl=0 In looking at that screenshot I see the missing piece of the line on the left side of the screen, which I had not seen in the movie playing. I did some investigating of the Video options and turned off "Clip Left and Right Sides" which appears to have fixed it, but I wanted to let someone know regardless.

I agree with feos that Gradius would be a good one. I also know one of the Monopoly runs was suggested; I think that would be a good idea too. On that note, I would be partial to the 4-CPU run.

Here's another question from me. After the diplomas, how much more time would it take for both games to go fight the Elite 4 and plus Rival? I feel like doing that would provide a better ending point.

You're welcome to use whatever version you want, but per this section of the Movie Rules, we do not consider switching versions for faster text to be an "improvement."

I've been watching this run off and on for a day or two. Not done yet, but I can't imagine not voting Yes. One thing I'd like cleared up: Is there a single set of input for both games, or are they being played separately? I'm figuring it's the latter, but would like confirmation.

That was wonderfully entertaining, sniq, and Anaconda's one of my favorite Super Metroids streamers. Thanks! EDIT: I'm not sure why it would be "disallowed," at least as far as tool-assisted runs go. I did see a bit of that discussion in the chat replay, but as far as TASes, we're all about achieving one-in-a-thousand results.

I'm obviously partial to the VVVVVV "No Death Mode 20 Trinkets" run since I suggested it, but I also really like the "Anatomy of an Arbitrary Code Execution exploit" idea.

Here's my idea for pitching VVVVVV "No Death Mode, All Trinkets" at dwangoAC's request.
Anyone who's played VVVVVV knows that death is inevitable...unless of course you're playing in No Death Mode. In that case, you're just trying to finish the game, right? Not if you're TASBot! Watch in amazement as TASBot, at Masterjun's command, completes No Death Mode in a mere 17 minutes, and even collects all 20 trinkets! Is that even possible!?

What about one of the VVVVVV runs? I'd personally like to see the "20 Trinkets, No Death Mode" run, but time might be a factor.

I remember a suggestion for verifying multi-game TASes was to power-on all the systems at the same time using a power strip/surge protector. Any idea how viable this is? Also, I'm not an engineer, so I don't know about the technical aspects of having TASbot's signal repeated out to multiple consoles.

Hey Total, do you have another link to your 13% proof-of-concept? I tried to show the VOD link to some friends and it either purged or you deleted it (Twitch doesn't say which.)

Actually, you'd probably get even better results in the Hourglass forum. http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=61

I'm certainly up for trying, but due to how I learned the game (open setups, no roleflip, at-will private communication) I have had little success playing more traditional formats.

The posts about the Pika Cup TAS are from 2011. PikachuMan's still active here; maybe PM him?

I watched this last night when you posted in the Arcade Games forum. Wonderfully entertaining, easy YesVote.

Saw this in my Facebook feed a few minutes ago, and figured we'd all love to read it. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2016/01/how-a-game-playing-robot-coded-super-mario-maker-onto-an-snes-live-on-stage/

Based on watching some of a playthrough on Twitch, the platforms have been rotated so you can use them and they take you sideways.

His profile says he was last active here on October 14th. That's interesting, especially since there are two Igglanovas. I wonder if fleeing the 2nd one is faster than Gryz killing it with Crash, and I also wonder how fleeing from both would change the EXP route; right now, Chaz gets Tsu right at the point where it starts being useful in conjunction with the Shadwblade.

That Stepmania playaround really showed some superhuman skill. Quite incredible.
I was commuting home while that was going on. :( Having been into Stepmania for almost as long as I've been into rhythm games of any kind, I'm very much looking forward to the VOD.

Holy crap, it's only slower than any% by like 24 seconds! That's really surprising to me.

Thanks for detailing exactly why it wasn't done, Tompa. I had no idea the time loss would amount to that much.

Most of the time when I'm watching TV or Netflix, I'm watching true-crime shows like Forensic Files and The First 48, or I'm watching an on-the-job reality TV show such as Deadliest Catch or Ice Road Truckers. I used to be really big into Japanese anime, but I kinda fell away from it after Monogatari Series Second Season, two years ago.
