The site for that Orbit Downloader says nothing about it being able to convert them to MP4, and even if it did, this computer isn't powerful enough to do ANY video transcoding work.

Thanks for the Nicovideo links, Mister, but the reason I asked for encodes was so I'd have something I can watch on a Playstation 3. EDIT: The new links for the IPS patches all give me 403 Forbidden errors.

Awesome to hear you're apparently back to TASing. Additionally, could someone encode to mp4 the VIP1 100%, the VIP2 "100% Almost Capeless and Yoshiless," and the VIP4 100%? I don't have access to my computer to watch the SMVs at the moment and likely won't for quite a while.

Can I get an encode in MP4, please? I tried downloading the Archive.org streaming version, but it's ridiculously big for its' length, and it looks horrible on the PS3.

About re-writing subtitles: Sorry, I have never made .sub nor .srt text files. I used memory.readbyte on lua. I don’t know how to display enemy’s HP and step-counter in .sub or .srt text files.
You would need to enter the values manually as they change.

Skippable cutscenes are the best. If we wanted story, we would have played the game ourselves.
In this instance, I disagree, because Lagrange Point was never translated, either officially or unofficially, and not everybody reads Japanese. I certainly don't; that's why I requested the subbed encode. I think that showing the cutscenes (but skipping any instances of repeats where possible) would have been a more than acceptable speed-for-entertainment tradeoff, especially in an hour-long movie.
Instant kills are definitely more entertaining. They raise the HSQ when done properly.
Considering the battles don't have any subtitles to explain what the characters are doing (aside from the glitch battles) I'll agree with this. (What's "HSQ," though?)

I was entertained well enough by this movie, and the dialogue being subtitles was a godsend. There was a fair bit of downtime, but the extra info in the subtitles made up for it. Yes vote.

Looking at PikachuMan's catch-'em'all route, one nitpick; you don't need to duplicate Moon Stones. IIRC, there are three available in the game, which would be used on a Nidorina, Nidorino, and Clefairy, while you can catch Wigglytuff in the Cerulean Cave/Unknown Dungeon instead of using a Moon Stone on Jigglypuff. Also, I would think that this run should end at the Programmers' Building in Celadon City (with talking to the guy who congratulates you for getting all 150) instead of after the Elite 4 plus Rival.

The site's judges accepted Samurai Goroh's run of FF5, and Aqfaq's run of Madou Monogatari I, so there is a precedent for accepting runs of Japanese version RPGs, and having subtitles would help a lot as well.

You don't need to use Lua to insert subtitles; as Moozooh said, the .FM2 movie format natively supports them.

Why do we keep changing the version back and forth?
sparky decided to use the (U) version because of someone (spweasel, I think) bitching and moaning about him using the (J) version for his 100%.

Mario's speed will stop oscillating once a direction has been released for 2 frames. If using an older version of SNES9X and gocha's SNES9X Memory Viewer, it will only take 1 frame.

Waiting on an mp4 encode, hopefully from Velitha; Aktan's mp4s desync on PS3s.

Worked perfectly. Thanks. Would it be too much to ask that you do that for all your encodes?

TSRP: Reloaded would be even better, IMO. I testran it a few winters ago, and was working on a true TAS with Mister and Andymac for a short time.

I don't know why; I downloaded it to my flash drive and compared it with the Archive.org streaming mp4 for sparky's Rockman 7 100%, which worked fine on the PS3; Media Player Classic Homecinema's Properties viewer said that they were both H264/AAC, so I have no idea why the one worked and the other did not.

Requesting a favor. I really enjoyed this run, and would like a copy to watch on the family PS3. As mentioned, Aktan's mp4 has the audio about half a second off from the video, and I don't have a computer to do my own encode. The PS3 also says "unsupported data" on the Archive.org streaming version. So, could someone do an encode in .avi with minimal size-reducing gimmicks for me?

Grand Theft Auto (3 or later) and either Mass Effect. It would be absolutely incredible.

I say the individual letters "T-A-S" which is standard procedure for me with acronyms.

That movie was in the realms of "So Bad It's Good" for me.

Aktan, your MP4 desyncs on a PS3 in the same way your MP4 for Rockman L desynced for me; the audio is about a second ahead of the video. Could you do a basic, no-fancy-size-reducing-gimmicks encode for those of us who watch on PS3s?
Yep, already done, just download the streaming version, that is just add _512kb to the end of the MP4 link, for example: http://www.archive.org/download/SparkysSnesRockman7ShukumeiNoTaiketsu100In4144.5/rockman7-tas-100-sparky_512kb.mp4
That one worked perfectly; thanks. I was very entertained; yes vote. I would argue, however, that a future run should use the (U) ROM, for a few reasons. 1. If memory serves, the only reason for the (J) version use here is shorter Dr. Light/Megaman cutscenes, and for a 41-minute movie, the amount of time saved probably isn't significant. 2. There's more dialogue in this run than in the any%, and it would be nice to be able to read it.
