Give me torrent filenames, or at the very least, link to the published movie page, and I'll restore them.
I meant that those two movies never had encodes.

The only other emulator I know of that supports subtitles in movies is ZSNES, which IMO is only suitable for low-level TASing at this point. ALSO: Good improvement time-wise and entertainment-wise.

Mega Man X Take it Slow: Clear a Robot Master level without dashing. Fully Powered: Collect all upgrades, excluding the Hadouken. Powered Armor: Kill 10 enemies with a Ride Armor. Access Denied: Kill a Ride Armor pilot before he can jump into his Ride Armor. Crossover Power: Collect the Hadouken.

I was trying to make the point that both the Yellow run and the Green run glitch through most of the game, but one didn't obsolete the other because they do it with very different methods, which is the reason I believe that the 6% run in Super Metroid shouldn't have obsoleted the 14% run.

I'll second Saturn's Super Metroid 14% run, because I heartily disagree with the decision to have the 6% run obsolete the 14% run. I think an equivalent situation is Gia's Pokemon Yellow run and Primo's Pokemon Green run; both runs glitch through almost all the game, but do it in different fashions. Similar for Super Metroid 14% and Super Metroid 6%; they both beat the game, but 6% uses major glitches, and 14% does not.

http://tasvideos.org/1572S.html - Coinless Cannonless Capless Super Mario 64. I understand adelikat's rationale for rejecting it, but I thought it was both entertaining and technically sound.

On the movie, no vote for a couple reasons. 1. Aforementioned "it starts from a savestate" problem. 2. It was boring as hell; definitely aim for maximum score if you intend to keep at it. 3. This may be particular to me, but very rarely did the movie play at above half-speed, whereas when I play the game in Project64 1.6, there's only slowdown in the map screen. Anyone else notice this?

Just wanted to chime in that the [f1] ROM was also the only one I could find when I was trawling ISOHunt back before they blacklisted USA IPs. Haven't watched the movie yet (just downloaded the savestate, and I'm at the library, not home), but I anticipate being underwhelmed due to the lack of "Aims for maximum score" in the movie's goals and the fact that the author has stated he only used three charge shots the whole time.

You dropped the trailing V from that link, Saturn.

Yeah, that sounds like a good compromise. I can only imagine the amount of disk space used by all 1283 movies the site has ever published (assuming they all got encodes).

Having watched it, my standard reply.
what is this i dont even
This movie should definitely be published, but having seen it, I am fully convinced that it should not obsolete hero of the day's run, because they beat the game in drastically different ways.

Wow. Just wow. Two questions. 1. Why do you think you'll need two more segments? Is Tourian that big? 2. What did you sequence-break to get that allowed you to skip Kraid?

Haven't watched yet, but I'd like to get on-record as thinking that this should NOT obsolete Hero of the Day's run because of how much shorter it is. I'd preliminarily say to publish it separately as a "glitched" run.

Terrific run. Yes vote for sure, but I do think the ending scene and credits should be shown.

Warp's idea makes the most sense, I think. I would endorse it if my opinion held any sway.

Unfortunately, I only made it up to Rusty Bucket Bay before the Mupen became unacceptably slow. I guess my video card can't handle Banjo-Kazooie, so I'm waiting on an encode as well. (And a DDL link; I can't do torrents from the library.) EDIT: Apparently, the library's firewall no longer blocks damn near everything, so I can run a torrent client from my flash drive, so I don't need a DDL.)

I've watched through Bubblegloop Swamp and am very impressed, but as is my custom, I'll reserve my rating for once I've watched it all the way through.

Good improvement in entertainment, though I still noticed a few fights where you repeated combos. Shao Kahn 1 was the most noticeable.

I was entertained, but you should NEVER repeat combos within a fight; it gets boring. The second rounds of your fights with Sheeva and Shao Kahn are the worst offenders. Also, a few things to think about for if you do another run 1. Some two-player fights (like in Vandal's Mortal Kombat II run) would be cool to see, and would allow you to do three-round fights and subsequently show off Animalities. 2. Use Fatalities more often. That's it. 8/8 vote from me.

Aww, Google no longer tells you "Swim across the Atlantic Ocean" when you try to find directions between the US and Britain.
