I find cheats like ↑this↑ much more interesting than cheats like “invulnerability” or “infinite health”.

There are 61 pending submissions, not 500.

I am not ignoring his approvals. However, I have a “let's see what's in the queue” day only so often, which means that I'm generally much more likely to encode a “hot topic of day” movie than “Sega movie from last autumn that has been accepted”.

I am not the only one. Also, fast internet connection is not a necessary component.
To be honest I’m quite satisfied with the current pace we’re publishing movies.
I did some database analysis.
* There have been 303 days in total where a movie has been published.
* A total of 491 movies has been published (currently, 293 of them are not obsoleted).
* The biggest amount of movies published in a single day so far is 7 (at 2004-06-25).
* The first movie was published in 2004-02-09 (movies before that are not in database), and the latest was 2006-03-14.
* This range covers a 764 days.
* By average, we have a release day every 2.5 days. When we have a release day, we publish 1-7 movies at the same, with average in 1.6.
* By average, we publish a movie every 1.5 days.
My intention, with the maintainment of this site, has been to keep the pace between releaseless days in 1-3 days max. Although there have been individual pauses of about a week in length, by average we have succeeded excellently.
With these numbers, we can choose which movies we publish and when, and thus we do.

I am against this idea. Such a board/topic would not serve additional purpose, considering that publication-related discussion can already be conducted in the threads of the particular submissions in Workbench. At worst, it’d just be a spam board for people like Neofix with “please publish my movie!” pleads.

Some reasons are listed at http://tasvideos.org/Rules.html#2 (cheats fall under the same rule as hacks; hacks are actually just hard-coded cheats, or cheats are just temporary hacks).

As far as I know, glitch-use aside, Mew could only be acquired by downloading it from a machine that was occassionally set up at Pokémon events organized by Nintendo offices in different countries. But Mewtwo is another story.

Your nickname contains a special character, #, which has a special meaning in HTTP URLs. I will recommend that you choose another nickname, at least substituting the special character with a text representation, because your nickname causes problems in URLs should this movie be published. (We include the nickname in the filenames.)

1. You must stand further to the right.
You can even have half of Rockman outside the wall if you like.
2. Hold Right to prevent Rockman moving horizontally. Press Up (it will make Rockman stop climbing, because there's nothing to climb), then release Up and press Up again to grab the ladder from screen bottom.
Possibly, when you release Up, you must also press A, but I don't remember if this is the case.

I just don't like to welcome the atmosphere where your hard work of making a entertaining 10-minute movie will be forgotten because someone else made a movie that's 0.3 seconds faster than yours.
It depresses authors easily, especially for newbie authors, who are not confident about "frames" and perfect timing. Knowing that someone can easily beat your work by just making it a frame or two faster (which is always a possibility as long as there are uncertainty sources, such as the precise speed the characters walk and jump), why make a movie at all?
This is certainly not a new topic, and my take on these situations is to intentionally delay the offending submission to give the previous author a chance to recover. This is especially amplified in long movies; less so in short movies like Monopoly.

Indeed. I intend to hold this submission until some previous author, such as Phil or Sleepz, at least attempts to beat this record (*).
I don't like allowing people to take honor from others with mere few-frames improvements on a movie that has so much effort invested in like SMB2u.

I have played Karateka on a pirate multigame cart. Long time I last saw that game.
But, I have no idea of the structure of that game. I tested it quickly with an emulator now and I was able to reach inside and see a girl there, but then I got bored and closed the emulator.

You need to face to the right exactly at the moment you hit the screen right edge. This will enable the screen to scroll. Otherwise, you move to the next screen without the screen following you.
