Magnificent improvement! It's very impressive how much knowledge of this game expanded after all. Yes vote :)

Nice to see a TAS of this game, just to be surprised beyond expectations! The "major glitch" is so insane that I have no idea how to explain better. Magnificent :) Yes vote.

Since the game renewed attention recently, I found this video yesterday by coincidence: Link to video I remember hidaigai was working on the new 102% TAS back from 2017, and for my surprise I forgot completely that the author also posted the actual .bk2 movie on User Files four years later: https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/76543020681150738 The second boss also includes the new trick that Dooty used in the new "True Ending" run but hidaigai managed to use it twice.

The author of this video posted on the Castlevania Speedruns discord server yesterday: Link to video According from him: "if you whip right before the dboost you get a bigger boost" "idek if that’ll work with the spacing from the stairs which might make it a wash but who nose" I hope this trick would be doable for a new Ritcher TAS ;)

Yeah I'm aware of the Sound Menu trick (pressing Start+Select), but I actually decided to not use it just for maximizing in-game time optimization as much as possible. But in case of a new TAS, the lag in this port is somewhat random: you can get or avoid one/two different lag frames while resynching the whole game, sometimes luck occurs if you reach certain rooms of some levels and requires patience with trial-and-error as well.

This game can be difficult to play, but the optimizations looks very nice. Great job! Yes vote.

Nice to see this game being improved again! Watching the comparison video also helps to understand the project even further. Too bad the "random lags" can affect the rest of the game, but you did an excellent job after all. Yes vote!

Thanks for the comparison video! If the published run looks very solid enough, it's difficult to expect possible new improvements or even obscure ones such as the "maze 3D stage" movement. Great job again and yes vote :)

The Super Mario Bros. project never ends, and I like it. Finally we have the opportunity to see the SNES version including not only optimizations but extra entertainment added too! Great job guys! Yes vote.

That was unexpected. Nice to see a new run of this game for the first time over 15 years! The bridge clip on Stage 4', more Maria subweapons used in the run, some boss improvements (the Stage 7 one was superb) some new timesavers and the fact Maria can bypass most enemies while rolling... this is clever! Great job, and Yes vote.

Sorry for double post, but my memory ended confusing me after all: that Crash Bomb Frenom strat actually clip upwards like it occurred in the CUI video test. I found that old movie and watched it on Gens emulator. It seems this glitch won't be useful unless the weapon manages to hit another target.

Hello Challenger buddy, I tried your method, but I couldn't hit the object in the bottom right corner, I could only hit the one above. If that's the case, he won't get better https://youtu.be/l0MXNWOLo8Y?si=0DPAQWQw48NPN2al
This is interesting! I never considered double clip like that. But the actual strategy Frenom tested in the old 2005 WIP was like that: It required not exploding one of the walls, so I'm not sure if will work with only the below wall intact while the main focus is lag reduction.

Great job guys! This project looks very optimized and polished with all those improvements discovered over the years. Too bad zipping is very limited in the first two games, but at least the third one and Wily Tower are broken as expected. Yes vote, and meanwhile... I have a question: during the Wily 4 Boss on Mega Man 2, it's possible to shoot through the wall and hit the bottom right target with precise positioning between "two breakable walls" - this trick is present in the old Frenom's 2005 WIP TAS and was used once. Since the game lags a lot while waiting for every Crash Bomb usage, I'm not sure if this trick can be useful.

I watched some of the progress in the discord server, and after months of hard work, I'm glad to see this TAS submitted! We have any%, 100%, and glitched password categories, why not creating a new challenge? "X-Buster only" sounds very interesting :) When a game has "invisible lags", it can be a real headache in addition of trying different options for both optimization and RNG manipulation. This project looks very polished, and you guys did an excellent job after all! Easy Yes vote.

The one-player TAS is very well excecuted. Clever usage of weapons, bombs, and losing a life during the train section wasn't a problem at all since you chose a strategic point to avoid losing time - another positive point to this project. Yes vote. Also nice to see zk547 is still present and working on a new 2P project of this game. Looking forward for it!

Great to see an improvement to the published run. The soundtrack is superb! Reset warps for less backtracking (exclusive trick in the Japanese version), a completely new shortcut skipping most of second-to-last area of this game, and while the previous run did a great job polishing the gameplay and lag, you did a excellent job bringing several new features that were discovered over the years. Yes vote.

Glad to see a TAS of this game, because each puzzle usually requires a huge amount of time to solve. Redoing all puzzles for 2 player version would be very very difficult, so no worries after all. This run looks very optimized and I like it! Yes vote.
