Well, you can also use the aiming crosshair to do some funny parts. I was able to do some really raunchy things with Vela and Floyd in Jet Force Gemini, so I think even more naughtiness is possible.
Just a suggestion though.

maybe manipulate more than one gun to drop next to each other, and juggle those in the air.
possibly let the room get entirely filled with guards, then mow them all down at once?
dance in patterns?
do some naughty things towards/involving natalya
shoot in time with the music?

Sorry to see you go G man. It was fun working with ya a few months back. You raise that baby girl to be an avid gamer, ya hear? :-D and I wanna see you on IRC more often
Fret not everyone, OoT is still currently in very good hands.

No. speedruns.net asked for permission to encode it and include it on their site. They don't have their own voting/judging process, and most of their content comes from elsewhere, not from their own members submitting anything. They are the leech site, not us.
You've made 2 stupid posts, and one incredibly idiotic topic all in one day. Please stop.

Well try this instead, that's the correct, most recent version.
I really do think that Hard mode is worth it because of skipped cutscenes. There's really quite a lot of long dialogues that you skip, which should in theory more than offset the slightly higher HP's.

The floatingness is caused by being in an area that is supposed to be filled with water. The helium physics are not because he still has the boots equipped but because he gained access to an area he's not supposed to.
I was going to give this run a try, but you definitely beat me to it. I look forward to watching it, from what I read it will very likely be a big yes vote.

A few things:
As I already mentioned to you, this hack is incomplete with known bugs that were intended to be fixed. Unfortunately, it seems there is no motivation for a newer version to be made. Most hacks that are featured on the site are the final version.
http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php is a great site for uploading movie files.
This game already has a topic.
ALttP and Parallel worlds are both incredibly complex games to TAS, and not something I'd normally recommend to a starting TASer to have as his/her first TASing attempt. There's luck manipulation up the wazoo, so many tricky movement techniques, and tiny little nuances for saving frames in various ways that aren't apparent to less experienced players. If you've watched the work from erokky and dezbeast, you'd know what I'm talking about.
Most zelda players have entered the minimal amount as the name... it is always up to the player to name his character what he wants, but do know that it might make the movie longer if the name is mentioned a lot in texts.
If you're looking for routes, bug Tompa, he played this hack extensively to find glitches and optimal routes.
I'd say the game is good to TAS, especially since it's a hack of a very TASable game in the first place. It is frustrating to watch in the beginning because it takes a very long time to get the sword, but once you do things get easier and more fun to watch.

Perfection in TASes has has nothing to do with IQ. It depends on how intimately/deeply you know the game, how well you know video game mechanics, how well you know speedrunning techniques, how much you test, how much patience you have to test and find the optimal routes/moves, etc.

This is the current title for Link in OoT/MM. :-p thanks swordlesslink.
Your reasons/explanations are right on the buttonmmbossman. It won't be 100% perfect, but you have the right goal of trying to make it as perfect as you possibly can, and yes a long effort TAS that beats a one-week effort TAS by minutes is very much worth it.

If you think spending 3 hours on one TASing trick is a lot.... hoo baby, you're in for a surprise.
To put the slingshot away quickly, I was able to pull out my sword mid- sidehop, but then I had to put my sword away before doing a superslide. Just press A when standing still or something to get that slingshot away.
Out of curiosity, what are you testing?

Oh my, those are real cool.
This game is starting to become incredibly similar to Megaman 1 in how decked out the glitching/skipping becomes. Looking forward to this, which I don't usually say often with Megaman runs in the making.

I'll bet good money that you're doing the right thing for megaflipping. When doing that slide you keep getting, try backflipping. My suggestion is for superslide to put that slingshot away, it won't work with it being held out.
You also need to never let go of Z and R.

Back when I used to play games on znes, I used a keyboard. I usually TAS but don't play games on my computer. So for TASing, I use the keyboard for snes, gens, and gba. For N64, I use the keyboard, USB controller, and TAS Input Plugin all at the same time.

Yeah there's 2 WIPs. But both are now outdated, I believe for the first one I beat every single time and for the second, longer WIP only 2-3 stages aren't beaten time wise. (You can also see what times I got for world 1 on my homepage here.)
Uch, I love disconnecting as I'm trying to post. Here's what I think I had:
IIRC, the flower kids try to move away from you, in addition to just running around randomly. I suppose it's manipulatable, but probably not effective.
I'm right now calculating in my head the optimal path/technique for this other strat you're describing... if my memory serves me right, the valley I need to deposit the kids is kinda far away from where the last flower kid is... making it not likely... Marina can throw really fast, but not far... plus, grabbing the pot and popping the kids, and unloading them into the area can be done at superhuman speed too, plus the pot as I mentioned can help me save time as well. I just don't think it'll beat the current strat, but it's worth testing.
I love the level, but maybe that's because I don't have to play it in real time, and there's complex ways I can save time (for instance, another great application for the super ultimate trick I found). rocks to be me ^_^
Also, for those waiting, I highly recommend you watch Veysey's vids, they are A) a great watch, B) you can re familiarize yourself with the stages, C) get a good sense of the difference between speedrunning and TASing this game- it's really quite interesting, and D) to pass the time until I submit.

Good job on beating me by 4 frames, glad to help out with motivation. My WIP was way back in, gosh, november last year? so there's no way it was unbeatable, not that early in my career. BUT, if YOSHI's 2 player is 86 frames faster... than you really should be doing the run 2 player.
please say it's Heroes, I love that show.

Well, here's how time will be saved in these 6 events.
All dash events I can save a frame or two. Nitsuja's dashing method is optimal, however there is a way to attain max speed faster that I found.
The hurdle event I presume time can be saved, but it's not a given. I can either:
-use all Boost Grabbing, which might save enough pixels to make a difference, unlikely
-do some wall clippings, unlikely
-possibly get a clancer boost off that other clancer that I'm competing against, unlikely
For the long jump, for the 2nd jump I can get a distance of 1 rather than 2, which should save some time.
Math fun, it is theoretically possible to luck manipulate the answers to either be almost all 1 digit numbers, or to have the numbers be close together. I also plan on being more entertaining here.
For ball event, there's no way to save time, but theoretically possible to match/beat the world record for number of white balls by using luck manipulation. Also, I know for certain I can be even more entertaining in this event with all the items that appear.

When holding the rope, hold Y, hold left or right, and press B. You'll jump away from the rope. IN order to gain some height, you need to turn back towards the rope and grab it again.
The rope climbing you see here is mostly TAS only and requires you to very quickly turn back and grab the rope again as soon as possible and then jump again. (I can kind of do it in DKC2.)

Well, my original Migen Brawl was already 3+ seconds faster than Nitsuja's. And assuming I can luck manipulate this part I'm at correctly, the entire rest of the fight is going to look incredibly different to the point of non-recognition, and also be 100% optimal.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but I think the answer is Pot (I'm no druggie though). I'm guessing this is whether or not to use the pot to collect all the clancers? Hm, that's actually something to test, I know that with frame perfection it's possible to throw all those guys very fast, I just don't know if Marina can throw them far enough. However, watching TheCape's Ghost Catcher I found a time saver once all the flower clancers are in the area and the star appears. I also found a great time saver for the bomb section.
-Snowstorm maze should have, after everything, at least 2-3+ seconds time saved.
-Clanpot shake I already found a faster way to the top of the level, plus I know another place I can save more time.
-Clance War I already have a faster way to destroy the mech, I might shave a few more frames hopefully when I get to it again.
-Missile Surf there's a new way to position the missile that should save a lot of time, plus some boosts and I can do the end sequence better.
-Clanball lift I don't know. There's probably some time to be saved somewhere.
-There's a new strat for Marzen 64, plus I can make the spring segment better.
-Chilly Dog I can probably save time with a new strat.
-Lunar, I have no idea. Memory watching can probably help me find a faster strat.
-The Day of, I can shave a frame here and there or probably save time with the brown blocks.
Many of the events I can save some time, either by doing something different or with luck manipulation.
-Cat-Tastrophe, I have no idea. This is going to be tough to beat Nitsuja's time (unless my text scrolling is faster, in which case I am already 1 frame faster.)
-Cerebus Alpha there's the speedrunner's strat to optimize, so this is guaranteed 4+ second improvement, or more if I can possibly luck manip those missiles, and if not just grab and shake them optimally. I have a few ideas.
And that's just world 3. You should see my extensive notes on the next two worlds.......
