Me and my friends are really proud of this. One of our organization, MisterNojojojo uploaded it to his YouTube channel immediately. Here is the run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zJHSuw1bIg&list=UUHivCZr2rmOd67SEEFwqoxg&index=1&feature=plcp
That just looks like it skips right to the final boss with a password, which is not generally accepted on this site.

I think this looks really good! I didn't know you could go through the wall in that one spot, so it was a nice surprise. Yes vote.

What the hell does that tanuki do when he beats a level? It looks really bad.
I think he's eating the 15 fruit he's collected. His fruit meter goes down when he does...that. Voting Yes. I hesitated to do so at first because this is a game you can't lose, but the TAS was fast and I liked seeing where you would pick up each piece of fruit while avoiding all the other ones.

Well, I don't know anything about this game, but I thought the battles were entertaining (which is what the author was aiming for) even at the cost of speed. Also, the story really picked up in the last third of the run (not that I could understand any of the text). I think that since this run starts with no save data and the NewGame+ "Grand Battle" deuxhero described can't be done without completing the game once, this run is entertaining enough to be published. It already looks like those who have played the game before really like it. Perhaps in the future, a "Grand Battle" run, potentially more suitable for a playaround, could obsolete this using this run as the verification movie. Also, I hope other people will comment and vote soon and a decision can finally be reached on this run. Yes vote!

We would need the swfs to play back deterministically, or else they can't be accurately TASed.

Please, Felipe, no one is threatening you. We just want to understand why you're leaving. I don't understand what you mean when you say someone stole the idea for your "Perfect Bonus" Sonic 2 TAS. Is someone making a Perfect Bonus run of another Sonic game, and you think they took your idea?

I think the best thing to do would be to find the codes for SpongeBob's position and position him behind the Chum Bucket Lab doors, then see what would happen. I can't test any of this out, because I'm going to be studying for final exams the rest of the weekend.

Uh...I've never used Cheat Engine or anything like that. Could you help me with that first?

Is there a walk thru walls code? Maybe we can use it to check. :)
This page is the best resource of cheat codes for this game I've found (most other sites just have a few of the same codes (the lame ones like Infinite Shiny Objects and Infinite Underwear). You're free to search for a walk through walls code, but I haven't found it yet. I think if you could change SpongeBob's speed (with Cheat Engine?) to a really high value, you might be able to go through walls. In case you haven't seen these yet, this is COEL625's video about beating both final boss levels without the Cruise Bubble, and this is his video about beating the first boss form without either the Cruise Bubble or the Bubble Bowl.

If you made a savestate during the battle, closed game, played back the dtm, and reload the state, there's a high chance the boss behaves slightly differently.
This was probably fixed in the more-save-fixes revisions. You should use those to TAS. I haven't been able to sync this with either the 508 "TAS-input" or 652 "savestate-fix" revisions, but I modified your dtm to sync on Dolphin v3.0-508 "more-save-fixes"/"TAS-input".

I always thought the game was interesting, even though the physics are bad...the graphics are really not that much worse than the SNES version. The music is pretty bad, although our own Dragon Warrior time-attacker Acmlm has a home-brewed SMW .nsf that sounds almost as good as the original if I'm not mistaken.
I played this game about two years ago and I also thought it was interesting. The music and sound effects always annoyed me, so that's probably part of why I stopped playing. (Seriously, what's with 13:15 in ISM's run? Is that supposed to be the Starman music?) The pirates really should've put as much effort into the sound as they put into the graphics. Is Acmlm's .nsf the castletheme remix? I really like that one. I liked watching ISM's TAS too. He did a great job with what he had, and I enjoyed seeing what the game looks like past level 2. You know, if a run of a pirate game like Super Contra 7 could be accepted, why not a run of this game?

Just curious, but exactly what is the planned route for the run? Edit: Does the Robot Spongebob battle level get triggered by going behind the door, or pressing A with 75 spatulas?
No one has posted a planned route yet. Currently, COEL625 is working on finding a way behind the door or out of bounds in the Chum Bucket to possibly skip the 75 spatula check. It's not known if it will even work, but that's why we're testing it. In the final boss battle(s), the Bubble Bowl is only necessary for one of the brain holes, and the Cruise Bubble can be skipped entirely. So if we could beat Robo-Sandy and go to the Chum Bucket with 16 spatulas, we might be able to Bubble Bowl Boost into the door. Again, this hasn't been tested yet. I definitely thought the speedrun would be done by now, but we haven't even heard from the speedrunner in months. It would be very helpful if we could just see what his route looks like.

Which Dolphin revision did you use to make this?

I haven't played this game, but I found this pretty entertaining. It's like the Resident Evil TASes (haven't played those games either), only with some annoying constantly changing camera angles. The graphics look really good for an N64 game, and maybe that's part of what kept me interested. It's also clear by the way you avoid enemies like the Black Knight and the Tiki that it's tool-assisted and optimized for that matter. This has already been accepted, but yes vote anyway.

I'm away for a good part of each weekday until next month, so I appreciate knowing when threads have new replies and when I get a new PM (since I reply to those first) since I can't be on IRC. Well, the problem appears to be fixed now, so thanks to whoever fixed it. I'm also really enjoying how incredibly fast the site is now. On every computer I've been on in the past few days, the site posts replies and loads even movie pages very quickly.

If the person who filed the copyright against you doesn't own the rights, then you can dispute the copyright claim. There's a form on YouTube for that.

I noticed I'm not getting PM notifications either. I would appreciate it if someone could fix this fixed soon (though no one probably saw this topic had new replies because they didn't get the "Site Bugs" e-mail notification).

Someone could always make an unoptimized testrun. It would be interesting to see the final time compared to Paraxade's speedrun.

Since the site was moved to a new server earlier today, I have not been getting e-mails for all of the topics I am watching for replies. These topics still signal that I am watching them for replies, but I am not getting any notification that someone has made a new reply. All of these topics were being watched before the server change, and this is the first post of mine on the new server, so I'll have to see if I get an e-mail notification about the reply to this post. Other than that, the site is really fast now and I haven't experienced anything close to a 500 error since the server change, so I want to thank everyone who helped move the site.

That didn't seem like 18 minutes (not counting the credits). It felt like 5. I was very entertained throughout the run, and there are so many great moments (other people have listed some of them). I can't give this anything other than a Yes.

This is the current fastest any% speedrun by Paraxade (5:39:56). One of the biggest glitches in this run is the BiT (Back in Time) glitch. A paragraph by Paraxade from this page explains how it works:
Mkay, so there's a new glitch in Skyward Sword that breaks the game fairly significantly...Basically, you kill yourself, then on the Game Over screen, select "continue" and immediately reset the game in the home menu. This results in being spawned on the title screen, so you can access the file select screen while running around in Skyloft. If you go to a bird statue, then save and load a file with the same A button press, then you'll spawn in the map you're saved at, but at the XYZ coordinates of the statue in Skyloft. This leads to breaks where you can be teleported to rooms halfway through dungeons or to OoB spots which allow you to access places early.
Support for the Wii MotionPlus accessory was added to an old revision of Dolphin, but the current master and more-save-fixes builds do not support recording movies with the accessory, and it would take a lot of work to implement MotionPlus in current Dolphin builds. Unfortunately, this means a TAS of this game cannot be started at this time. Until a run can be made, strategies and route plans can be discussed here. I will be updating this first post of the thread with the newest WIP and other important information so it can be easily found without requiring viewers to search through dozens of pages to find what they're looking for.
