Dooty (for all of his SNES movies) PangaeaPanga (for the great SMW small only improvement) arukAdo, Bablo, Cardboard, and scrimpeh (for obsoleting the seven-year-old Super Castlevania IV run with a great new run)

This is why I prefer the credits version - it doesn't just display a splash screen, it plays the level victory fanfare, and actually executes an ending.
As far as I know, the "credits" version starts from the Yoshis' "Thank You" and plays through that half of the credits with no sound or music at all.

With this one, the splash screen just appears, and the music keeps going. I'd like to know if you can still actually move Mario during this (watching x/y values).
It's not just a splash screen; p4plus2 said that the game state is actually changed to that of the end of the game, so the game thinks you have already beaten Bowser and the rest of the credits have already rolled. Just like when you've finished the game the normal way, you cannot press anything at the "The End" screen; all you can do is reset/turn off the SNES.

wtf XD how does this glitch work?
The submission text wrote:
There is a very tight passage Kirby can move into, at the bottom of the screen. By moving back into the water - from the side - he can do the glitch. ... The glitch happens if you transform into stone kirby at the same time you are underwater. This can only happen when moving into a body of water from below or from the side. The glitch thereupon crashes the game or makes it go to the credits sequence, rarely it can warp you to random places.

Why not just stop moving while firing?
"Walkathon" means not pressing the B button at all. So he can't run and he can't shoot fire.

I'd be interested in seeing if the wallclip in sirena hotel works in NTSC-U, I'm kinda bad at it so maybe renebalow can test it? I'm talking about the fruit wallclip in the 3rd chapter (the one that doesn't require yoshi).
Well, the Under the Bell Tower fruit wallclip works in NTSC-J. By the way, you could link to that video on your records page if you made a Delfino Plaza section.

Great job so far! The WIP is fast-paced and looks optimized. I agree with AngerFist that it's worth it to redo unoptimized parts and then continue. Thanks for taking the time to encode it. Good luck with the rest of the run!

What happens if you fail at minigames like Crazy Telegram and French Cancan? Would you go to the next level any faster if you lost those minigames? This run has more action than your run of GBC Lucky Luke, and only one autoscroller (which was entertaining anyway). I liked the shooting level too; it was funny and provided some variety to the platforming. Good job! Voting Yes.

Wow, that's weird. I wonder what they will find out about this glitch.

There will always be a place on this site for a SMW run that completes the game roughly as it was intended and includes the entire credit sequence. This is not such a run.
The 3 frame slower run they're talking about starts from the Yoshi's House "Thank You" screen and proceeds through the enemy roll call to the credits, all with no music and no sound at all. It's not the full credits, and with full silence, it's not very entertaining.

I'm not sure. I've never used it before. But why would you use Frame Skipping when making a TAS? Don't you need to advance one frame at a time?

Nice glitched run! Voting Yes. Whatever the branch name turns out to be, I just hope this gets published!
