To avoid hitting the ground and doing a little bounce, could you puff up 1 frame before hitting the ground and blow the air out? (in 3-2 when you're invincible)
Yes, I noticed it just recently. I just won't bother going back for that little trick...
How far are you now? Like Comicalflop said, you may be able to edit the segment and continue working on the rest.

I think the flower collection from the flying question block can be optimized much more. But dying on the cement block is a much better idea.
Did you test SlowKing's red shell fireball idea? Also, I agree that it should be published; amaurea brought up some good points.

I guess Shinespark was deemed illegal. Otherwise, Samus probably would've won by a lot. Here's the sequel, with more characters.

Well, maybe you could post it to the WIP thread so someone else might be inspired to work on it while VanillaCoke is working on Sonic Colors. Just a suggestion.

That looks awesome! I suppose you could ask the judges to replace the submission file before it's actually published, but you might not be done with the improvement before that happens.

This game looks awesome. The run is very entertaining and has amazing technical quality! I liked seeing the tricks and glitches and watching the fast-paced action. Obvious yes vote (even though it's been accepted already).

One of the puns is from you, DarkKobold. Should we be afraid of your puns too? It's actually funny how bad sgrunt's puns are. It would have been entertaining to see how other users reacted to his puns in IRC.

I thought this was pretty funny too, but as Supper said, the main part of the run just looks like a slower version of the Family Feud TAS. Is there another mode that you can use that still abuses the response entry system?

I have updated my Super Mario World comparison script.
Looks good! I definitely like it better than the old one. I wouldn't think using the goal sphere in Bowser's Castle counts as beating the game, because it would take you back to the overworld, which requires user input to move around in. The overworld is still part of the game. Plus, the credits and the words "The End" never appear if a goal sphere is used. Also, I like how people are discussing the 96-exit run on this topic's 96th page. :D

I have to agree with Zavalix. I found this somewhat entertaining until Level 6, and I stopped watching after just a minute and a half of that. Voting No.

I do, however, think that if the bug could be exploited in smw any%, then it should be done. My reasoning for this is that smw any% is the one run whereby entertainment can be traded off for speed; its intention is to show the game pushed to its limits.
I agree. Runs of hacks are for showing off the hack and showing more of an entertaining superplay than a pure speed run. If this glitch can save time in SMW any%, then by all means, implement it!

This was very entertaining. I liked the variety in moves and changes in pace in each battle. This deserves to be published. Yes vote.

While I will freely admit that MM2 Wily 1 is the best track from both games combined, that doesn't make up for weaker tracks elsewhere.
Yeah, I would think MM2 Wily 1 would be up near the top. I wonder where it'll rank.

I just got 94 with my BLJ finger. :D That's not the best I can do, though. I'm not a master masher by any means, but I know I can do better.

I finally had time to look at the link Truncated posted, and I agree that it's unbelievable that someone would spend their time writing that, either as a joke or actually believing it. The author never explains how we are "cheating" or what makes the videos "fake and cheated". He just keeps throwing the terms around. Also, the Bisqwit and Hitler page doesn't even include anything like a REAL similarity between the two. That site cannot be real.

Thanks! It's fast-paced and entertaining. It's exciting to watch the progress on this game. I especially liked the fast upward floating in 1-3, 2-4, and 3-1 and the fast Whispy battle. When you don't have the Burn ability, is running slower than jumping? In 1-1 and 1-2, you jump through the level until you inhale a fire enemy, but you run through about half of 3-2.

That's a good idea, jlun2. I should be able to manipulate that when I get to the Shadow Queen. AKheon, I managed to pause right as I step onto a space that triggers a cutscene (saving Goombella cutscene, Zess T.'s "Freeze!") but it doesn't seem to skip any part of the cutscene. Once I unpause, the cutscene plays out in full. Is there something I'm not doing right?

This is really neat. I haven't heard of so many of these, since I just learned that the system existed 1-2 years ago. The NES has some truly awesome music.

I haven't played Terraria, but what would be the goal of a Minecraft TAS? I don't know if the game has an end.

I'm pretty sure the English name of this game is "Asterix & Obelix - Bash Them All!" And the ROM name appears to be "Asterix & Obelix - Bash Them All! (E).gba". EDIT: This run is entertaining and looks nicely optimized. Voting Yes.

I just finished watching it, and I'm voting Yes to this submission too. I didn't watch the old full run, but I did enjoy watching this new full run and seeing the whole game TASed like the last level. Also, the glitches were still entertaining.

MUGG's comparison encode is cool but I like amaurea's comparison video a lot. Seeing all the different Marios running on one screen with all the differences (with/without Yoshi, small/big/fire) is really cool.
