#91 seems to have been deleted. Is there any way to restore it so it can be used for another game on the same platform?

I've done that, however there is no way for me to reupload the recording, so i hope this doesn't interfere too much with the submission
You can't replace the submission file yourself, but you can upload the new one to Wiki: Userfiles and ask a judge to replace it for you. Speaking of "recording", have you created a YouTube video for this run? If not, do you need help making one, or someone to make it for you?

I'm the wrong person to ask, but someone who can read game code, like Masterjun, could probably look into it for you. I would be interested in seeing an entertaining ACE run of this game though (executing code that warps around, spontaneously levels, instantly kills bosses, etc.), even if it wouldn't be publishable.

I honestly think this would obsolete the published run. I asked in IRC and that seemed to be the consensus there as well. The differences are minimal at best, as I explained a couple posts ago, so I don't think it's enough of a change to warrant having both published.
Ah, okay. That makes the most sense anyway, given the similarity between the runs' routes. Plus, if the published run is below the site's current optimization standards, that would probably be a good reason to obsolete it.

I've already got it encoding on my end. Thanks for the offer, though! Much appreciated!
You're welcome!

Nice plum bouncing. That doesn't look like the intended behavior, but it sure looks cool!

Way to go! I'm not sure if this would obsolete the published run if this one attains the best ending, but it sounds like it'll be a nice addition to the site nonetheless.

I might submit it with unfinished comments and without an encode if I get too tired before I finish everything up.
Would you like me to encode it for you, to save you the work? I can PM you the link when it's up and you can include it in your original submission text.

To align this publication with site rules, I'll change the name (and edit the description and game entry) if no one objects within a week from this post. EDIT: Changing them now.

I have filled the http://tasvideos.org/Bounties.html page.
PSX Final Fantasy "current run" links are broken.
I fixed VIII's, and also removed VII's "published run" link, as none exists and I couldn't find a suitable replacement in the game's thread. EDIT: Also, thank you for reporting that!

I like the new route and wall clips! Not knowing the map, I kind of lost my bearings while you were climbing up through walls, only to see you pop out right where you needed to be and grab an item. Good work, guys; yes vote!

I'm a little confused by Pokota's original comment. Is this page for organizing all of the "outstanding bounties" in this thread, or only those where the money will be donated to the site? Perhaps a "reasonably acceptable substitute" would be our console verifiers, for covering the cost of machine parts or games to verify published TASes.

What a cool game! I might have to get this from the 3DS eShop now. That was well done, classic Mega Man TAS action. Very entertaining, yes vote!

Now that this game has been re-released as EarthBound Beginnings, should we change the game title on the site?
I think we should. This game never had an official English title. Now that it does, we should use the official title as is the standard for all games on the site. The description should definitely mention "Earthbound Zero" too, like you said.

I wouldn't mind seeing more of this game. Good luck on both!

Nice! The "does absolutely nothing" goal makes sense for this game, and it's not easy to win with that restriction either. Which Dolphin revision is the movie for?

Seems I stumbled across TASing too late. There's not really much left to do...
There are still games out there that could make good first TASes, especially Atari 2600 and 7800 games (once you get BizHawk working), as they're short and simple. I'm sure there are still NES titles that would look good TASed too, but it might be easier to find a good game if you branch out to other consoles; we have more NES publications than we do for any other platform.

So... Is it possible to use that to mace an ACE run?
I honestly don't know; I know nothing about SMS game code. But it doesn't seem like it would be faster than the memory corruption method. This run is one big setup for the mirror glitch, which occurs as soon as input is ended; there's no waiting period that ACE could circumvent or smaller glitches that could be abused beforehand. If ACE is possible in this game though, it would be fun to see what entertaining things one could do. Also note that however the mirror glitch is achieved, it would probably not be allowed for a full game run, even for getting max level early, because of its ability to warp to the credits.

Oh, you mean the long delay before the pause menu appears? That's an emulation bug that's been around for a long time in N64 emulators. The code of the N64 core would probably have to be modified in order to fix it, and I'm not sure if there's a solution for it out there yet.

DwainiumB: That was the coolest strat I've seen in a long time! Reminds me of the 120 star run WIPs a few years ago.

Now, could someone explain to me what happened?
It's got to be memory corruption. The mirror glitch is one of those glitches that does different things depending on input and the screen's position. It usually freezes or crashes, but it can also max out your level, warp you to another room, and do other strange things. One of them just happens to be warping to the credits.

Whoa, that was really nice! Smooth movements and good health management and lag reduction. I am enjoying your runs, Alyosha. Voting Yes!
