This one didn't kill my eardrums or sound like loud machinery. Not the most entertaining movie I've seen, but It will do fine for the vault tier. I'll give it a yes vote.

I only remember one thing from this game so it might not help. Snake (MGS obviously) makes a cameo character in a skateboarding game

I've seen your name before, and some of your other movies. While I am going to vote no due to cheating and being not optimal enough. I suggest that it would be in your best intention that you use the free time you have to spend a great deal of time(Months or a year) on "one" movie with no cheats, and a commonly accepted goal choice such as "fastest time", while completing the full game.

Watched the new improved movie and have to say it's much faster and entertaining. You also included the final confrontation with Wily's 2nd phase. I would like my vote switched to Yes for this new movie.

This was a really good run. Didn't even feel like 18 minutes watching it :P . Enemies were killed quick and the auto scroll stages weren't too bad. Great job and yes vote.

Sorry man. Rigging a game so you are guaranteed the winner without luck manipulation is not impressive, and playing against no opponents doesn't help either. No vote

I was wondering why you didn't play this on the hardest difficulty (4. Very Hard) ? You can set the configuration by pressing F2 before the insert coin screen shows up

Find it weird that Snes9x 1.43 had the color flash correct with console for the intro but the others had green which never appeared at all. Not to mention it's funny how inaccurate it is blazing through screens compared to the console taking it's precious time to go through the text. Thanks for the comparison.
this is youtube, the flash is a 60hz effect, dropping individual frames will completely screw it. a simple "off by 1" doesn't indicate great inaccuracy, but would cause that to look wrong.
Ah yes. Completely forgot about youtube's butchering of video quality. Thanks for the explanation.

Thanks for the reply late or not. I should consider redoing this sometime in Bizhawk after Triple Trouble is done. It's quite a strange game like you said. Health management is vital.

Picking a programming language depends what you want to make overall. If you are interested C++ be prepared to see a lot of errors, Programs freezing in loading 3D objects or assets, constant troubleshooting, and following books to the letter. Is it worth it though. I'd say so If you want to learn a programming language just to have the experience under your belt. I would go with JavaScript. It's a great language for beginners.

This movie plays from Save state instead of Power-On which is against the site rules unless it's a newgame+ mode or a special mode that requires beating the game multiple times/one time. That as well requires a verification movie.

most TAS video people won't even tell any major differences anyway.
I did. There was lots of things that lagged due to console limitations of the game on Bizhawk that don't on Snes9X. Accuracy in an emulator is important in a TAS. If things that don't lag in the TAS of an old emulator but does on the console makes people question why it doesn't. That's why accuracy increases, so it never comes to that problem. With people making new routes or methods to deal with lag.

There are quite a few glitches that you can do in this game, unless console versions took that out because I know glitches from the ps2 version.
Look forward to seeing the glitches for this

Very nice run here. I look forward to seeing more frame war action sometime soon. Voting yes for being well planned and as an improvement to the current published movie.

Cooljay, i unerstand what you mean, and i agree. Even for me, looking this is very long and finish to become boring. But i did it for the game, not for the result, even i want to get the record. Then, i think that voting NO for the reasons you told isn't fair, because you're not judging this tas, but the game which isn't make to be TASed. Then I hope that your vote will not make my TAS being refused ^^
The tech quality is quite high in this TAS and you did indeed not take damage as you claim. The lacking in the entertainment did affect my interest in the run. However Since it did beat the current run then my vote should be yes instead on the grounds that it's indeed faster.

Finally got around to watching this movie. Having this game myself it's fun to play however it's not very fun to watch. Music gets repetitive, Lengthy walking segments and dialog, All bosses have similar fight tactics. Nothing really new is shown in this TAS as it progresses. You can literally watch only 5 minutes of this to expect what happens throughout. Maybe warps might be better for a game like this, but should be some WIP's first. As for my vote on this TAS. I vote No. an hour and a half is too much for this type of game.
