I liked the test run already and I was already going to vote yes. Now I saw this improvement from test run and I found that it was even more entertaining. I liked the new fireball management especially. Also, it's great to have improved version of this run that can be watched with fceux instead of oldish famtasia :) Here goes Yes vote!

Oh yes! It was so entertaining hour! All those tricks and rescue operations made to look easy. And it was actually very impressive to see all those secterts that I missed back in my childhood. Strong and entertaining run from first steps to the last animation! :) So strong yes from here!

Brandon, If you check this page more closely, you can see that both US and Japan Courses are done. Only one left is UK (That's what I meant with that 2/3). And to be honest, Japan is the most difficult one, for me at least. I think that Tournament mode won't add any value to this "run", since there is nothing different except the prize shots where you can earn some money. And like you know, they are not that hard to optimize :P If you still want to do the run, I would suggest that you do UK the same way as Rising Tempest did his part. I definitely would like to see complete playaround :)

Nice to see you back in business! I hope you can make through that scroller. Do you have any ideas how to entertain while waiting platforms to appear? Jugling with enemies (some neat jumps between or so) ?

Waaaaaaaaaay to go Tompa! On behalf of every observer here, I want to thank you. Though, at least I can't sleep my nights that well anymore until funnyhair has posted the run ;)

Ouch! That's sad to hear :( I hope Tompa has some time to use his magic to help you. I really waited this one for this year, but I definitely feel your pain and frustration there. You have done excellent job so far here. So even if the progress is frozen right now, your run has already quite amount of entertainment value. Btw, happy new year there already. I'll hope that it brings some ideas and solutions besides everything else.

Great! The complete run is almost there :) No too much to go. I hope you don't face anymore difficulties. It has been a pleasure to see your progress through whole game (Even if I haven't given any comments).

Two years ago, I tried to tried to improve the published run. The run was supposed to base on timer, but then I noticed how evil the timer actually was. These discoveries are very helpful when I'm trying to understand why my attempt failed. If somebody picks up this project, this run should be based on frame count IMO. If thread handling is that awful, timer would be useless since it has no regular ticking pattern? (If I understood correctly)

It seems that only point of this run was to demonstrate fatalities after finishing timer has run out of time. That could have been demonstrated as a single trick, but when this run repeats that only trick again and again, it gets boring. Also too much same combos were used IMO. And please, that amount of Nightwolf isn't necessary. So I vote No. It needs more variation to tricks, combos and bugs.

I think that biggest problem is that you have to find furthes possible spot where you can turn back and cutter still returns. Because as far as I know, you don't have time to gain heart tank while you are falling to the pit.

I must be missing something here -- why would that be so impressive?
Probably because getting heart tank without water in that stages would change normal boss order and that's never done before (getting the heart tank without water I mean). Or it at least saves one revisit to Sting Chameleon's stage. Call me pessimist, but I think that trick is impossible. I've used several hours trying to test different possibilities, but I have never been even close to get the tank. That gap is huge! But anyway, good luck with that :) I hope that you can get the tank!

Like adelikat, I've waited this submission for ages. I really enjoyed this TAS =) It's much more entertaining than my playthrough which I posted here and also better than my few minutes improvement which I did after my playthrough (however, I didn't post it here because there were no interests towards this game) But thank you Aglar for doing this run which I've desired so much :) Easy yes vote!

XkyRauh, could you be more detailed and tell which avi are you talking about? There is quite good information about codec problems in FAQ section http://tasvideos.org/CodecProblems.html I recommend to read that page first.

In my opinion there was bit too much waiting and repeating like Undercover said. Anyways last level was something enjoyable stuff. Dodging those new spikes was the highlight of the movie and I really laughed. Thanks for that :) So, my final judgement is Meh, It wasn't bad, but it needs more stuff like last level to make me vote yes. Thanks for the run anyway, keep up the good work :)

Congratulations CPadolf for your first and very well done submission =) I think that new route was very refreshing and enjoyable experience and it looked smooth. I like SM TASes so much that I think that there should be both IGT (in-game time) and RT (real time) categories, but I understand that this could make number of SM TASes rather big if every run (lowest %, any%, 100%) has two different versions. Personally I'll keep both (Hero's and CPadolf's) runs in my "TAS library" and think that those both are unique runs. I'll vote Yes. But IMO RT speed is more important than IGT. P.S. Is Varia suit necessary to complete the game when you have gravity suit?

Ok Evilchen, I watched it and I have some comments for it. - Music + Skipped waitings + change of colors + fadings + Hero's TAS itself ^^ ? Perhaps could make just a bit faster movie playback when game is lagging (for smoother look) +++ Machinae Supremacy Ok, everybody likes different music so minus to music is just my opinion (Machinae Supremacy is +++ because I'm fan ^^) Those start button skippings and door fading skips are veeeery nicely done and makes movie much more entertaining :) Absolutely best thing in this movie (for me). Smooth looking fadings with elevators :) TAS itself rocks hard, this was 10th time I watched that tas, or something like that. And that lag thing explains itself (I hope) I hope that I'm not too brutal with my comment when I say that video was good without music (mainly without)

Congratulations for your first submission =) The quality of run was good and I know those scrolling stages are pain in the ass if you watch movie, but they just can't be entertaining. When you have redone final boss, it's surely worth of yes. So I'm giving yes already =)

Errrr... I wonder, what's wrong with my emulators nowadays because there have been some smv -files which I haven't been able to watch. In example Moozooh's mock-Spring-Waterball and Saturn's Temporary Blue Suit I'm using Snes9x v1.43+ v9, v10 and Snes9x v1.51 When I choose movie witch I want to play I'll get message "File is wrong format" This happens in 1.43. And in 1.51 it says in Error info box "The movie file is corrupted or in the wrong format" and bottom of the window is text "Unrecognized format" I have downloaded smv(s) so many times that I'm 100% sure that file(s) isn't corrupted. Edit: I noticed that those smvs worked with 1.43-dev version. So, no problem anymore :)

WIP seems to be pretty smooth and after watching WIP 2 times, I didn't see any flaws. The most boring part is over now, so go keep up the good work! :)
