GREAT job for a 2 second improvement. I remember your first attempt at a tas for SMW. It was pretty pathetic. You've come a long way from there, my friend. Great job, considerable improvement to an already HIGHLY optimized run! A yes vote!

In the great AVI that bkdj posted, around the 6:46-6:50 mark, you jump off of a crate. Your impact makes you pause a bit. It seems that you could have stepped off of the crate, and maybe not have sustained a shock. Is this done intentionally? I know it's a bit late to tell you this, but this is the first time I've watched the WIP. BTW, the WIP is looking great so far.

OMFG, I'm laughing so hard now. This game is so terrible, that you make a mockery out of it! Voting Yes, and I will definitely keep the AVI. Thanks so much for the youtube video too antd.

Couldn't you just keep floyd shooting, constantly, using a macro? That might get annoying, and he might hit one of the tribals, but I'm sure it will help in some areas.

Yes, of course! How could I vote no if I voted yes on the cancelled one! Excellent playthrough!

You sir, have made my day! Especially with your SSB runs coming along so nicely too, I have no doubt that this run will be nice.

Camera view is fixed when strafing. There is no camera work in this game like in Mario 64, the only closest thing is using R to aim for first person that is solely going to be used for sniping targets and when nescessary. So get used to the camera angle, because strafing is faster walking speed and it looks like I'm gonna be strafing throughout the whole run.
OH!! Strafing, that's what you were doing! No wonder it looked familiar but so out of place.

I wonder if cutscenes can be removed in AVI.... that'd definetly increase watchablity.
It might, especially the whole ship enters the level cutscene. But the music is awesome. I remember downloading various MP3 of JFG music through NAPSTER (yes, napster) back in 2000/2001. I think the Mine level is my favorite. In terms of removing cutscenes, I doubt that will fly with Bisqwit and other encoders. Besides, AVIs aren't used to judge the movie, so I'd worry more about the cutscenes affecting the acceptance of this movie. Honestly, I think this game is popular enough to guarantee an acceptance despite the cutscenes. But that's a long way from now. Good luck!

Ok, now that I've watched it, I'm happy with how it is looking! It does make a very pretty game to TAS. The only parts I didn't like is where you took damage, and the camera view in the first part of the first level. I forgot, is the camera fixed? It just looks really strange seeing the guy (forgot his name) look sideways all the time. It looks like he's got some sort of back problem :D. You did the first level pretty quickly (in terms of time), so I take it, you are pretty comfortable with this game. It seems pretty robust to emulation desync issues, too. As all games, I'm sure as you go along, this game will just get easier to TAS. I bid you good luck, and eagerly await any WIPs.

I'll definitely want to see this game. I never beat it, but got quite close to the end. I remember I loved the music in this game. Looking forward to any WIPS in the near future! This is a game that I think will look VERY impressive when completed. Trirocket launcher was the best!

Looks very good Mukki. But 1 question. Why are you using th jabo 1.5.2 plugin? 1.6 is much better, and doesn't give you nearly as many bad textures. I guess it's too late to change this, but just giving you a heads up about next time. Perhaps this was the reason the movie was desyncing for others?

Submit now please! It will make a great (short) run of one of the best N64 games around. We need more N64 games to be published!

I am pretty sure emulation is not the guilty side in those glitches :)
There is 1 DKC2 bug where you go flying up the screen. We think it is due to bad emulation. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2346/zombie%20Rambi.smv

What would happen if you superslid into a cutscene, and then let go of R?

How can you skip those regions? You need the stray fairy; you need to get magic; and you need the silver rupee chests to fill up your wallet.
Yeah, I completely forgot about the silver rupee chest... My bad. I guess there's no advantage to waiting until the fairy is in a different location?

If someone vote no on purpose, it's probably because of this topic: http://speeddemosarchive.com/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=main;action=display;num=1164456046 I'm sure some TAS hater would see it and vote NO.

Great that you keep on going, despite all the desync trouble. Here's to hoping that past clock town the desyncs come far, and few between. Petrie had a nice TAS run of GBT that he didn't have too much trouble recording, but he started from a save-state... Maybe that's the key to the whole thing? But then, if you record from a save-state, that's going against the rules of this site :(.

For one thing, stay in the same area, you don't want to waste time by screen transitioning. Unless you want to go hunt for rupees. As for down-time? Try to glitch through stuff using the dog (ala MIPS glitch in M64), just don't go near the cheap deku scrub.

FODA, this run is amazing. I can't believe all the hard work and effort you have put into this run. I am humbled beyond belief. This run is probably the most star-worthy run that I've seen due to consistent quality, speed, and execution for its length I vote Yes. And I wonder what is next :).
