Man, it feels like an eternity since I was here last; finally back after a long rest, lol. I discovered a bug that allows one to kick down one's enemies through the ground? ... Heh, I guess that's how it is. Could it possibly be a time saver in seconds? Nine professionals can probably give you your recordings. Please let me know if the file doesn't work to replay, or if there is an issue to download it, or whatever: https://ufile.io/ya36srxm Cheers! Moderator edit: I moved your post here. Please use the main game thread for discussing new research. Also, your file has expired; please use TASVideos Userfiles for permanent movie uploads. — moozooh

I'm trying to get to the exit as fast as possible, with Toki. I found a way to kill the lizard. If someone has an idea how to get to the exit faster; please tell! http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1735369888/Highness-Diman-RandomPie_IV-Going_Ape_Shit%20TAS%20-%20Level%202-1%20vine%20shortcut%281%29.gmv

Daaang!!.. :O Nice job, dude! I made a recording from that. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/878933801/Highness-Diman-RandomPie_IV-Going_Ape_Shit%20TAS%20-%20Level%202-1%20vine%20shortcut.gmv I manipulated the lizard to keep its mouth shut (LOL), but I lost one frame in doing that. If I jumped one frame earlier, it would lick Toki to death (LOL, again). .. But anyway I think we in the team have done an awesome job so far, and it seems like we are finally going somewhere. Seems like discipline have kicked in!! =) I also made a recording on taking extra life; maybe one can manipulate Toki to.. Eeeh, glitch himself up the cave. Who knows?.. Keep investigating. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/94140936/extra%20life.gmv That's it!.. For now.

Well done, Highness! I forgot to mention in my next latest post.. It was mainly a demonstration, what I mean by jumping over the lizard, and how that could save time. Meaning that I didn't care so much how I fast I would be then. I guess someone got to play that part anyway, so.. :P I have a hard time with that part. I also for some reason that I don't understand, have a hard time with.. The lianes? You know where the crabs are, or whatever. I would love someone to play that for me. I think 2-1 is frame perfect til that part. Cheers! http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1130950500/Highness-Diman-RandomPie_IV-Going_Ape_Shit%20TAS%20-%20Level%202-2.gmv

Awesome! http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1499636355/Highness-Diman-RandomPie_IV-Going_Ape_Shit%20TAS%20-%20Level%202-2.gmv I doesn't matter if it's not frame perfect; I will replay it ASAP anyway, so... Also in the very beginning of 2-1, you can save time in crawling, instead of waiting; aah!.. See for yourself. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1198550542/Save%20time%202-1.gmv

Sorry, I haven't been in here in a long while. Heh..! I thought this thread, was basically dead, (LOL, that rhymes). Anyway.. I have no idea where my companions have gone; I have been thinking about this thread since my last post, and was thinking about breaking the rule of dubbel post, only for attention's sake. Now, that I see that people actually still care about this game, I made a recording, right away.. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/499786980/Highness-Diman-RandomPie_IV-Going_Ape_Shit%20TAS%281%29.gmv
Ever since Toki was run as a backstage game at AGDQ2013, a lot of skips and tricks have been discovered in it, that cut down the real time a lot and can most likely be used in the TAS as well.
I appreciate that!

Amazing job! I found an optimizer myself; by taking the sneakers in a crawling motion, one save a few frames. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/621023116/Highness-Diman-RandomPie_IV-Going_Ape_Shit%20TAS%281%29.gmv

God bless you, Pasky13! Thanks brother; I made a new TAS based on the latest Gens emulator, and your script. Perfect for me, because I suck at finding RAM-addresses, and codes..=$ Of course I can watch OTHERS addresses which I paste in the window for codes, and stuff, but.. Okay long story short; it is so good! Here is a WIP. First level done. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1946230413/Highness-Diman-RandomPie_IV-Going_Ape_Shit%20TAS.gmv Oooh, I almost forgot; you guys know the flower?.. Or.. Whatever it is; some kind of plant. The red one; it seems one can manipulate how it moves.. By holding the A-button, or the B-button (sometimes even the C-button), one can manipulate if it is going to jump, crawl.. Hehe, weird.. So I guess there is.. SOME kind of pattern in the game.. Eeeh.. Yeah.

Hopefully it will be possible to fix that part to be as fast as Diman's.
Hehe, I'm flattered. I'm not known to be fast, usually! ;P

Also I won't have much of an internet connection for the next week or so, though I doubt either of you will notice the difference ;)
Aaaw, but we'll fix this so nice, anyway. I will try to make a new recording as you people out here are reading this.

No problem guys; we will shortly be better at keep in touch, won't we?.. =) Haha, I have made a recording of stage 1-3. Now... It is a bit sloppy, but I just want to give you an idea of how you can play this stage. Enjoy! Finally uploading time. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/424894314/Highness_Diman_RandomPie_IV-Going_Ape_Shit.gmv
