The BIOS is the intro that plays whenever you turn on an original GB. You will need to download it and put it into the firmware folder in bizhawk to make it work.

What’s this? A submission from Sniq that ISN’T Super Metroid? In all seriousness this is a fun movie to watch. There’s almost never any low point in here. Movement keeps getting crazier and crazier, especially when the wall zips start happening. EZ yes vote from me.

This branch can be considered full completion. In this game, you have to resque the family members to beat it, and you also have a single type of upgrade you can get. Each of these gets awarded to you upon beating the bosses. Using the glitch present in the any% movie also means it is a vaultable goal (not that this movie is going to be vaulted, just documenting the bookkeeping info).
I would like to add that all the game collectables do not respawn after you collect them, but resetting the game and putting in a password from where you left off respawns them. Passwords just save your lives count and the bosses you defeated. I originally thought that collecting them would be the true 100% but since there’s no way to permanently collect them, it really cant be counted as full completion.

Already saw this when I encoded it. I liked it. The zipping is a bit slow but I dont think it ruins the entertainment overall. Yes vote.

I guess I should say what I think about this movie. it's great, watching games like the original Doom, Wolfenstein, and simmilar first person shooters are so fun to watch, fast movement and accurate shooting. this movie is a collection of what I love about all those other games. Yes vote indeed. also thank you for taking the time to up the brightness, makes the movie easier to watch.

I liked the previous TAS alot and I epecially like this one too. the movements are much tighter here and even surprised me in a few spots with neat tricks, like jumping on the owl to get to a higher ledge. I voted yes for this.

Is it just me or does the transition from hub world to the first level seem unrealistically fast? Playing this game for years I knew how long it took the screen to transition from the hub world to the actual level.

I noticed when running Mickey's Dangerous Chase, the screen transitions are noticably faster than on Gambette, here's a comparison gif (gif ended up choppy, sorry about that): https://gfycat.com/gifs/detail/foolhardyhomelyalligatorgar Left is Gambette and right is GBHawk. it makes just the opening of the game 31 frames faster than on Gambette and I believe it's faster than when played back on the GBP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLMvkqmRTR0, which more closely resembles Gambette. Any way to fix this?

I’ve been thinking lately about how I view rerecords on movies. If the rerecords are high compared to the amount of frames a movie has (like in [3724] NES Super Bat Puncher by scrimpeh in 09:53.34), then I tend to think a lot of work was put into that movie. But sometimes I see movies that also seem like alot of work was put into it, but the rerecord count is either very low or just average. So when you see the rerecord counts of movies, do you think they accurately reflect the amount of work put into them, or are they just simply a statistic?

There is no music, notice when the Runner resets the game the music doesn’t get cut off. That’s just background music the runner put in. Even when the Game Grumps play it there’s no music present. They even commented on the lack of music. https://youtu.be/6v_nkksmYUg
