I played this game when I was younger, and though I have fond memories of playing it, I don't know if it's suitable for a TAS. I remember quite long periods of waiting, especially in the level with the human bomb, and even in this wip there are quite a bit of waiting. Though that might be lessened if/when we learn how the spawn rates of the pods work. I don't think I can be of much help, but I'd enjoy watching it if you pull through until the end! I'll be checking for updates daily! (Don't let the beginning of my post get you down, I enjoyed the WIP very much!)

How someone had the time to watch this TAS and vote a no on it is beyond me. I will check this out when I get the time, IE wednesday. Looking forward to it!

I like it, I don't know much about TASing but I do know a bit about this game so hopefully I can contribute with something. This game has the worst horses I've ever seen btw, they look horrible!

Edmund: I think the hammers on the last boss were just to demonstrate the "tink" sound of hitting the invulnerable boss. That boss isn't random, so the hammers weren't luck manipulation, I think.
No wonder it didn't make any sense to me, I watched it without sound...

I've been working on a warpless TAS of this game. Here is a test of the first world and 2-1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvOSvBTy3N0 Feedback would be appreciated.
I must admit I have no idea what's going on in this game, but the "floating up on the balloon thing" at 1:03 in the youtube-video looks a bit unoptimized? Same thing at about 1:37 with the swimming. Other than that, to this untrained eye it looked good.

I was entertained, yes vote. Quick question: Why did you throw hammers down into the flames against the last boss? Now, if I can only find somewhere to learn about frame rules so I don't have to make an ass out of myself...

Ain't it 35? Or am I missing some sarcasm here and/or not understanding frame rules?

In the canceled run by guacho80 he grabbed the first level's orb at frame 3565. You grab it at about frame 3660. That is a 97 frame improvement. Explanation?
3660 - 3565 = 97? Maybe I'm just stupid...

I would really like to see this game being TAS'd, although I think the entertainment value might be quite low for people that have not played the game. I know that it lags quite a bit as well, especially if you have the triple gun and some boss fights are really boring (actually, most of them). If I could TAS, I would do it but I cannot and I don't have the time for it. If anyone takes it on I'll try to contribute as best as I can!

I guess the "repairing" bit would be more important in later levels, not in such early ones where getting wood is a bigger problem. This is assuming that this repair-thing works. Can anyone verify? edit: According to this http://www.gamewinners.com/playstation/WarCraft2.htm you can. I know for sure you can do it in the win95 version but further verification would be nice.

I might recall this wrong, but can't the other peasants help with raising buildings? IE "repair" them while the main builder is building it or is that ability for humans only? If you/someone would continue doing this I would follow it! I think I would prefer if it was on the psx too, as I assume that the cursor would move way to fast to be comprehensible on the dos?

I'm following this with great excitment! I was really sad when the last one went into the dumpster, looking good so far, great usage of the AI. Good luck!

It kept me entertained, although maybe not optimal, good enough for a yes vote. Thank you!

Fugly game, good run. I was entertained enough to vote yes, if I could that is.
