Rejected or not, I very much enjoyed watching this, guys. One of my favorite games growing up. I hope you make a new version, and I'd echo others and say don't be afraid to make entertainment the #1 priority. Fighting games work really well for playaround-type movies, imo. Thanks and good luck :)

Pretty fun watch, although a bit repetitive.

Watched the small-only (well, 70% of it before I accidentally closed the emulator) run too; very entertaining as well. I don't know the author of that one, but he certainly knows what he's doing. Tell him from me that I very much enjoyed his run :)

I watched the entire first one. I'll look at the second one later. It was very cool. It's fun to see some of the new and most ground breaking tricks being utilized like this. Very nice!

I never have, but I have the chords. I'll see if I can trick my girlfriend into loaning me her camera in the coming day(s).

Some combination of both. Most songs I play, I look up the chords online (a page like this) and figure out the rest myself. That's more or less what I've done with this song, except I do have sheet music for it too. More often than not, it's just better to figure something out for myself than go blindly by what the sheet music tells me. For pop (and similar) songs, that is.

Nice going, both of you. I'll show myself off too: As it happens, I uploaded my first piano video to youtube just a few weeks ago: Elton John - Daniel Cover (watch the original it's based on here, don't listen to the studio version, which is much worse) Mostly a test video, planning on making more when/if I get a camera.

Very nice. The spike room of Back Door was definitely the highlight for me, that was awesome. Second place would have to be the new strategy in SW1, can't believe we never thought of that! Great job :)

I remember back when we did our runs, we discussed the same things. My feeling was/is that the priority should be: 1. End input early 2. Defeat Bowser early (3. Reach princess early) 3 is really not an issue to me, I think the first 2 points are much more important. I don't want to speak for anyone else, but I believe at least a few of the "team" (JXQ, jimsfriend, skamastaG, thegreginator, DK64) had a different opinion from mine, and felt defeating Bowser early was the most important. I might remember incorrectly, though. Looking forward to seeing this, all the same!

Very much enjoyed watching that, thanks amaurea. It's somewhat frustrating to see Mister improve pretty much everything in a run you've worked that hard for though :)

Nach: "Now that v1.51 is a completely viable option, older less accurate versions of Snex9x will no longer be allowed. Get your build here. As older versions are harder to maintain, unwittingly violate our rules, and produce bad sound for certain games, we will be rejecting all runs submitted that were created using v1.43, starting next year." Upthorn: "The better way to do this is to stop supporting 1.43 with upgrades." Nach: "That is indeed the plan." Might need to think this one over Nach. Edit: Guess I'm living in the past. Apologies.

I used to talk about TASing and speedruns in general quite a bit with two of my good guy friends when I was more active here. I guess my sister also knew quite a bit about it. Nowadays it's not a big part of my life, but I've shown my girlfriend a few speedruns, including the ones I did myself, I guess. I wouldn't be caught dead talking about how I used to make TASes with random acquaintances and such.

Hey guys, interesting problem. Did you know the contestant actually has a higher chance of winning if he switches after the host removes a door? Very counter intuitive, but it's true. There's a wiki page on it somewhere, maybe someone knows what it's called.

1. Pretty much yeah. Basically, let's say you're contemplating calling a bet. If your chips move past the line, you've called. Don't know about standards and stuff, I guess wiki'ing "poker table" will help out or something. 2. Don't know about this. I thought they were like clay or something, never been to a casino so can't comment on those. 3. Well, like, you know, chewing gum is neat. Why does anyone ever chew gum? I don't think there'a a particular poker reason for it to be honest. 4. If it's a fairly normal tournament structure, I'm going to go with 150 playing hours. This is mostly based on the WSOP main event with like half that number of players taking like 9 days or something, so they probably play 110 hours let's say, and doubling the amount of players would have a sizable, but not huge, impact on playing time for the individual player. If anyone knows the actual number of days/hours per day/etc, feel free to adjust. I don't follow tournament poker so I don't really know, but yeah I think it's that ballpark. Hope this helps.

Upthorn, based on your post it sounds like you believe only one child was (supposedly, if you prefer) molested by MJ. True or false? Also, if you had to guess, how likely do you believe it is that MJ ever did anything inappropriate, sexually, in the presence of children?
