Except that, if you go back and read both pages of this thread, Frank has unanimously been declared to be at fault. Well, unanimously except for yourself. As Samsara noted last page, the rule about not using cheat devices goes back to the creation of the site. It's not changing. Believing that one of the site's core principles should change suggests that you are even more at fault than you think you are, not that the site needs to mold itself to your desires.

If Frank had read the movie rules, he would have found helpful paragraphs like these:
Movie Rules wrote:
No tampering with the files the game is composed of Some systems, such as DOS, exposes the separate parts of the game to the user. You are not allowed to manipulate game files except as normally done during install, if the game needs to be installed. That means no renaming/copying/deleting/replacing/editing files.
Movie Rules wrote:
Tools that manipulate ROM or RAM (e.g. Game Genie codes) are not allowed They count as hacked versions of the game if they touch ROM areas. Either convert it to a real hack or don't use it at all.
By reading these simple movie rules before using the new (and invalid) tool, Frank could have prevented a lot of tiresome headaches. Furthermore, it should be noted that not all of Frank's tools are being taken away, just the ones that are specifically forbidden by the site's very public rules page. Even when Frank has been told in the past that he should not use these sorts of tools, Frank's work is not being taken away from him. Frank has pathed out a very workable solution to the game in question, and if Frank takes this work and converts it into a format that is acceptable by the site's rules, Frank's work can then properly be judged on its own merits. Nobody in this thread is claiming that Frank has done bad work, they are just stating that Frank's work isn't suitable for this particular website, and that if he wants his work showcased here, he has to follow the rules.

But might I ask; what is so difficult about using the 'Edit' button to append to a post when you were the last person to post in that topic, and did so half an hour previous?

The things this game has done to the Postman Pat themesong are offensive to my very core.

Adding to the body of knowledge, here's a partial disassembly of Faxanadu, with some commentary on the code too. http://www.the-interweb.com/serendipity/index.php?/archives/30-Faxanadu-Disassembly.html

MUGG, are you running 1.11.6? (Edit: Because I inadvertently broke drag-and-drop for most extensions in 1.11.6, sorry. It's fixed when the next version comes out.)

That is incredibly unfortunate. Best of skill restarting it, if/when you decide to do so.

How recently did you lose everything? Did you re-format the drive? Did you attempt any data recovery at all?

Sorry about that, feos. You will be able to once again drag-and-drop Super Mario World and Chakan - The Forever Man after the next release.

That was really nice, with some really smooth looking movements. Also, I think the area you're referring to in the submission comments (with the Minotaurs) is the Reverse Colosseum.

Seeing as I have a hard time with Zone 3 as Melody, seeing this done with two Codas is incredible. The choreography is also really well done, great job Teraka.

We could always just switch over to AIM - the private messaging on that system is incredible. <_<

Individual levels are rejected for two reasons: 1) They do not begin from a power-on state. 2) They do not complete the game. The work you have done on the level looks good (based solely on the level encode -- I do not TAS SMW2) and if you were to apply that to a run of the entire game, it would by definition be a compilation of your individual level world records. Please do not be discouraged by this, take the feedback as it is, and come back with something incredible.

I have the same as you in my Core Features menu, including the ? block beside BSNES, so I don't think that's your problem.

Corewise, you should see something akin to BSNES (Performance) at the bottom of the screen. I'm not sure how to help you with this error - I similarly don't have a libspeexdsp.dll on my machine, running BizHawk 1.11.4 on Win 10 as well. Hopefully someone else can shed some light on your issue. :|

How fresh is your BizHawk installation? Did you just recently install it and forget to install the prereqs, or have you been using BizHawk for a while and this is a thing that only happens while loading Super Mario World?

You could always start writing a 3DS emulator.

It gets sold at the shop shortly thereafter to buy Syrups.

In the video that Kurabupengin linked, you can save a small amount of time at 42:48 by climbing the bone staircase first, then dropping straight down for the Picnic Wear (if that's an item you still want in your run).

I'm sorry, but I have to vote 'no' due to sub-optimal use of Getsu Fūma Den music. (I voted yes. That was a really nice bunch of gameplay, including using the 2P tower of power to reach platforms and such.)

Masterjun's video shows that the hard mode map is stapled to the normal mode map -- so could you theoretically save corrupt yourself from normal into hard mode (or the other way), yes?

Okay, but what is the chance of getting exactly one number wrong?
