You guys should talk with Satoryu at SpeedDemos Forums. He already nailed the paths and has a pretty fast video up on X Mode. Vava Mode has not yet been optimized yet. Routes are still in the plannings.

I did not find a thread regarding this wonderful event. http://www.play-symphony.com/ Alot of music composers plays orcestrated music in a concert where the fans of gaming can attend for a medium-sized penny. For a whole night of non-stop soothing and relaxing gaming music, it's a thrill for everyone. The last concert was held at Chicago and there are already reports and video about it up on the net. Beginning with GameTrailers and their 3 video clips: http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=2796 And there are also 3 articles from Gamespot, N-Sider and 1up: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6151989.html http://www.n-sider.com/articleview.php?articleid=518 http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3151125 So what's my question then? I'm just wondering if any members in here from Scandinavia has bought tickets for the concert that is taking place in "The Concert House" in Stockholm? It starts at 8 PM, but unfortunately, the tickets are already sold out, but I'm just checking and see if anyone managed to get some tickets in time. If so, I'll make sure to see you guys there somehow. Look for my nickname on the frontside of a black shirt and a D-Pad like icon on the back with the text Terebi Ge-Mu. It would've been fun to see someone from TASvideos there at least.

Aww, you ended Quiz #1 while I was asleep! From the asnwers page I would have gotten 9 points, 13 if I cheated by using the answers other people told me after I told them what I knew. Haha, for #8 I knew who the composer was but not what game it was from.
I can accept them as long as you didn't peek at the answer sheet. EDIT: Quiz #003 uploaded! -link gone- -link gone- 2 links to the music file (left-click). If you missed the previous Quizzies, you can still try them out. Also, a Master Player List has been added that shows the total score for all players. And Rules & Information has been moved to a seperate page. EDIT: Here comes a Quiz JUST for you guys. :D -link gone- Quiz #004: NESvideos Edition *thunder strike & drum roll* I hope you guys are trying this out now. I hand-picked specific things that might interest you all. This one will stay up for minimally a week, because I have other things to do in the meantime.

And no.3 is in a SquareSoft game... go figure... Quiz #2 on thursday or friday will have a bit of Nintendo at least. :) EDIT: So, ready to answer yet before I begin with Quiz #2? EDIT: Quiz #002 is now available! -link gone- The questions and rules. -link gone- 2 links to the music file (left-click). The theme here is Nintendo (along with some minor tracks from other companies), so good luck!

I could hint you that a regular Google or Wiki search usually helps, especially if you know the game titles.

It can't get anymore 1337 than that, I'm afraid. Some are good at tool-assist movies and some are good at game music. :)

That's actually good. So far, people only got #5 or #6 correct, but not too many (2 people right now). If you can/want, send your answers (those you can) and you'll appear on the Players List.

Erm, Alright, let's try this again. I uploaded a improved version of that mp3. You won't hear a horrible person singing anymore. :)

I think I recognized the tune from the "Press Start" screen of the game (possible spoiler shrunken for your protection) Maybe. I wouldn't bet much money on that, though.
Unfortunately, you lost all the money. Don't go past Start (and stuff. I suck at Monopoly). Just go download the new mp3 and you might get better results.

That's right, I decided to upload a small quiz contest thing on my site for everyone to try. -link gone- Basically, you download a music file containing 10 songs, guess what game they come from and then answer 10 questions about the games and then send all this information to me privately through the Forum Inboxes or Email. Good Luck to those who're trying this out. :) And I have no idea if this thing is allowed. If not, it can be removed. :/

Sorry for off-topicness, but here's the story translation you requested. -link gone- It's rather old, but at least you don't need to waste "that much" time now on the European version.

I have nothing against people beating my times. I just merely want these games to get some attention. It's lacking on that department.

Don't forget the 7 Rockman pins that are included and can be seen on the top-right corner of the box cover. The first 6 pins are 8bit Rockman performing different actions on each pin, and the 7th has a red background and has the ugly Axl X7 pose on it. To be honest, I bought the Collection Box mainly for X7 (since I didn't have that before and I already had the original CWs in my game collection), so that adds up to 6 first print CWs, 6 PSOne Books CWs and one horrible X7. The PSOne Books editions or the Rockman Collection Box might be your best bet then. Unfortunately, since there doesn't exist that many copies of the Box, the price has gone up alot... almost at the same price range (or higher) than Rockman: Megaworld (MD). Luckily for me, I own all of those games and packages already, so no need for me to search for them ever again... except for that DARN Wily & Right's Rockboard: That's Paradise!! *shakes fist!!* >_>

Well, as you should know, I've pretty much covered (almost) all information about these games, except the remixed music that can be accessed by Holding Select when choosing Navi Mode (RM1-3), or just enter Navi Mode (RM4-6). Basically, the RM1-3 "OST" comes from RM2: The Power Fighters, except for the Title Screen theme for RM3, which is brand new. RM4-6 still has a few themes borrowed from Power Fighters, but the amount is minimal. Well, what I had in mind for this challenge is that by playing this Boss Attack Mode, you should get a fast time (preferably under 2-3 minutes per game) and then post them here. Everytime you enter a boss stage, you begin at the Check Point corridor before facing the Robot Master. Each corridor has a Energy Capsule incase you need to refill some energy, since it won't be recovered automatically between stages. Mission Mode for the 3 last games (RM4-6) has 4 different missions each, and I haven't prepared a page for them on my site yet, but I still accept times though. Those missions lets you play specific stages chosen by Capcom and you need to play through them with only 1 life and no E-Tanks. Scary eh? You'll definately be scared when you face the Mr. X + Dr. Wily Castle Bosses one after another without any recovery in-between in Rockman 6: Complete Works. How's THAT for fun? ^_^ EDIT: Oh, and I tried to record using P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.16's internal recording tool, but I couldn't get any sound at all. Video played well though, but I decided to use my original discs instead, playing them on my PS2. :3

I finally gots me some energy to pull off some new "time records" for these games. It's for the Boss Attack Mode of the games, which can be unlocked after beating Navi Mode once. I made a video of me playing Boss Attack... with a 5 seconds slower time than my best time though, but I still hope you enjoy it. I still don't have a TV-card for my PC yet, so you guys have to make do with a webcamera version. -link gone- RM1CW Boss Attack - 1'40''11 - Iriasu (Video) -link gone- RM2CW Boss Attack - 1'31''44 - Iriasu (Video) Incase you guys don't have these games for the PSone, look for them at torrent sites or ask me privately! I'll rip my official discs for those who want to test this challenge (Unless that's against the rules).

Nono, don't worry. The hype ain't so grand. We can handle it. And the product artworks we posted on our site looks pretty good to be honest, even if some form of Power Rangers mishap is involved.

Thanks, Randil. There will probably be a XSgaming reunion at Nässjö, Jönköping (?) on February (I'll brief you more on the matter later). That will be probably run by the gaming folks at EoN.knows.it most likely. Terebi will have one on the summer too, and one in Fall (sometime in November) and winter again. That'll be in Malmö too. And hopefully, by request, somewhere in Ubbhult, close to Kungsbacka, Nintendo Next (N-Next) might have a graceful comeback. Stan64 runs that one, and it'll be fun seeing him again. :P That's what's to come this year, hopefully. Whether these events might get cancelled is uncertain, but I can still brief you on how things turn out in the end. :/

This is related to Swedish people, but if you have enough fundings to travel over here just for this event, then by all means... ;P Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone who lives in Scandinavia would be interested in traveling over to Malmö from December 31st to January 7th for a non-stop Video Gaming Experience? Alot of old-skool and new generation gaming will take place, as well as lots of contests and speedrunning too. Most of the speedruns will be done by me though (because I tend to be a speedrun freak sometimes), and the contests by the staff of TBG. :) Some of the contests and tournaments includes a music-guessing contest, screenshot-guessing contest, and also a few VS tourneys on lots of games like SC3, SSB:M and MKDS. More info (in swedish) is available on their webpage: http://www.terebigemu.se/ Scroll down a bit to read what it's all about, and see a list of everyone who's registered and will (most likely) take part of this festive live gaming excitement. For ANYONE who's interested, see ya there! ^^
