Objection! The idea that one terrible game could single-handedly destroy the entire industry is absurd! It was two terrible games. Link to video Anyway, voting Yes for historical significance and schadenfreude.

The 10-bit encode seems to have broken about halfway through, it's much smaller than the other encode and won't play past 17:33.

Here's a subtitle file in .ASS format, you can load it in Media Player Classic with Ctrl+L, or it'll load from the same directory automatically if you have DirectVobSub installed. If you don't have a player that supports it, get this. evo-tas-fatratknight.zip

You're in the wrong place. This site is about using emulator tools to put together speedruns. If you're speedrunning the game by playing it normally, you want to go here: http://speeddemosarchive.com/yabb/YaBB.pl

The AVI has the wrong overlay text at the start.

I can play Maza's Tiny Toon Adventures video from yesterday, but not these two. GSpot says they're all using the same codecs, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC and 0x0055 MPEG-1 Layer 3. Something is wrong with these AVIs.

Actually, I did not steal it. My step brother did, and put it under my name.
HAHAHHAHAH right and his step brother wrote all that on his blog, too. Classic.

It is possible he isn't a dishonest scumbag, but even in the case I'm envisioning he'd still be an idiot. (Basically, if the video he posted is one he downloaded from some other site, and that site is the one that did the actual editting, he's not as bad off.)
His name and website are shown during the game credits. If you check out his blog, he hyped the run before uploading it:

Pretty much all of that day was spent either training myself with Super Mario 64 or playing Spyro with Lauren. I've gotten myself down to about twenty minutes, but I'm still not performing so perfectly.

Pathetic beyond words.

Check out the first bowser segment, he adds subtitles to point out his "l33t jump skillz". He's filtering comments on the video, so I messaged everyone who posted comments to let them know he's full of shit.

too bad you could not shoot forward when switching that mouse.
I thought it was more interesting to see him setting bombs precisely where the enemy would run into them or shoot at them.

He's got the other two known warps. I think most people miss the Crab Walk stage, if you can make it to the waterfall stage you're probably not clumsy enough to fall there.

According to German Dragon's FAQ the mushroom cave [stage 4a] leads to the forest [5] or swamp [6] depending on which path you take at the exit, but that whole thing is skipped by the first warp anyway.

You can skip the ice palace??!?! I really need to track down the code for these warps and check for other ones, unless someone's done that already.

One of the creators has a couple blog entries about it. Three people made it - two programmers and an artist - and it ended up being one of my favorite NES games.

This run is INCREDIBLE. I love it. One thing, did you notice you're skipping 5 stages by finishing the first boss with the mouse? It took me a while to realize that.

Like Mighty Bomb Jack, this game is misunderstood and underrated. I'm glad to see movies of these getting made, so people will realize what they're missing. One of these days I'm going to crack the level compression and make a map editor for this. Definitely voting yes.

In the second stage, 1:00 in on the video, the part with the 2 red springs. Why do you hit the one on the right, go back to the left, and then continue right? Is that the only way to get through the red pole? I haven't played the GBA sonic games so forgive me if it's something obvious.

Mighty coin map is done. The coins are centered in the square for each screen, since the map is too small to put them in the exact positions.

Also, any luck on the doors that we don't know how to open?
Sorry, nothing yet. They wouldn't help for a best ending run, anyway.
