KusogeMan, whenever anything about moderation happens you immediately dive into arguing against them regardless of context and reasoning. If you don't want that in TASVideos terms, let me put it in fighting game community terms. There's this post I remember reading years ago regarding a convicted domestic abuser that I still remember the context to, but not quite the wording. It went something like this:
"Just because you press buttons good doesn't give you a pass to be a shithead".
This extends to people coming to the defense of people unwelcome to the FGC community, and if I remember right was the reason the post was made. This is what I think about when it comes to creating and maintaining healthy communities, and maybe you should think on that as well.

Tasvideos is a gaming site, it's not a space to advance one's personal beliefs towards society or virtue signal .(Recurrent problem in TASvideos) If you don't like AI, don't use it or complain to your local geographical community. I'm baffled this discussion exists in the first place. Nobody here is a better person tha nanother for positioning themselvers against AI. In fact, small companies have a lot fo benefit from generative content of all kinds as many fo them don't have the funds to get text and art qualiity, not to mention automation of any kind in their systems.
Tas is a technical achievement that can be better enabled by AI and I'd like to see new TASers that start TASing because of it and old TASers as well be enhanced through the new tools AI allows for. I personally can't think of the benefits so far but it's pretty clear smarter people found ways to use it and i'm happy their work is being done easier and faster. This is a hobby which is often underappreacited, not very valued, takes a load of time and i don't wanna see anybody being discouraged of TAsing for using AI an inteligent way. We have limited time in the planet Earth,a and with that time some people are TASing instead of doing anything else with their lives, we should be appreciative of their dedication and we shouldn't stop people from making their lives easier with AI as long it isn't any kind of foul behavior( like plagiarism.... which to me isn't synonimous with AI ).
AI is your future and the faster you find a way to work with it in a healthy way the better, animosity between users because of AI usage just reminds of the old elitism that existed in this site for so long when "REAL TASING" was only done with "REAL GAMES(nintendo or some platofrmer)" with REAL ENTERTAINMENT, and we all know how unhappy people can get and how many communities we distanced ourselves from with exclusive attitudes.
What would be a healthy limit for AI usage in TASing? seems like a more reasomable question if i read correctly

i don't understand what is going on, why would we be opposed to using AI or LLM or whatever it is to make TASing easier? why wouldn't Igor's work be acceptable for using AI? If ChatGPT could help me TAS something, i would 100% use it to make it faster or even reach results i can't with my current skillset or knowledge.

i'm glad the original version is getting some love, i never had patience to try the arcade version of a handful of games, and KI is known to be hard to emulate! Congrats on the TAS and I hope KI2 or Gold (maybe with speed cheats?) can get TASed eventually too.

Wow. There's so much to unpack.
First, no, i'm not doing concern trolling. Where is this coming from?
It makes no sense to have a question about "why don't i defend x person?", i'm not keeping up with all the banning here. I'm not a lawyer here trying to defend all the banned users, most of the bans seem pretty reasonable. This one struck me as unusual for the interactions i've seen myself.
I'm concerned about people who have different views that are not agressive towards anyone at all being the next step in banning. I'm trying to make sure the staff doesn't start banning someone for being Christian in their facebook profile or Trump supporter on twitter or Muslim on instagram.
Second, i did type what i think. Not AI.
Third, if the user has interacted in a negative way with the users here, than we don't need this discussion and the matter is settled. What i don't want for this site is to have people being banned for being not progressive enough to somebody's taste. That's all. I don't need Spike to show me the DMs of the exact insult received.

Let's see if i can convey this in a more meaningful way. If you actually had bad behavior inside the site, this discussion wouldn't happen. You don't see me questioning the banning of a few others like the logan guy with many accounts.
The foundation of the “nazi bar” concept is weak because it depends on a smear word being treated as if it were a precise diagnosis. Once a term is used so loosely that it can mean “literal fascist,” “political opponent,” or “person I want removed,” it stops being a moral safeguard and becomes a social weapon. That is not principled moderation; it is guilt by label.
I understand you don't approve the user communication outside of this site. I think it's pretty reasonable to enforce the behavior of all members here on this site to be polite. However inside the site's grounds, the user is being directly insulted( being called transphobic is something bad in my book) but the user is not being agressive towards others.
The rebuke is simple: the “nazi bar” idea pretends to be a rule against extremism, but in degraded form it functions as a permission structure for ideological purges of people who disagree in some opinions but don't really interact in a negative way.
If the user isn't interacting in a negative way with a trans person here, it doesn't make sense to me. Sounds like some Minority Report stuff on fighting crime before it's supposedly gonna happen. What do you think?

Is there a clear cut limit to the policy of banning people for their activity outside of the site? Has this user banned on the SA2B thread been confrontational towards Tasvideos members directly or are we getting people banned for personal beliefs they're not enforcing on others?

I don't recall having seen bad interactions on Tasvideos with this user and i have voiced this a few times already, where has this user being transphobic on the site or at least confrontational towards Tasvideos members? Take your time to answer this, i understand there might be somethign i haven't seen but i'm also concerned staff might be trying to be "internet justice cops" to the members for behavior that is non-confrontational, which is more absurd if it's done outside of the community scope.

I want to post a bounty for some Yugioh games TAS movies.
The bounty is to have a Sacred Cards or Reshef of Destruction TAS accepted here in tasvideos, it needs to beat the game faster than the speedruns and if you can use less passwords than the speedrun, even better! Both games have the manipulated route in their speedruns so you could copy the speedruns but you could also use the rng values to make an even new route.
Each game has a U$ 5 bounty individually and there's no time limit for this bounty, contact me if you need any directions or have the movie accepted here.

i made the SNES TAS, i was curious about how different the games were and this is hilarious! Yes VOTE IMMEDIATELY! Have you tried any other juggle combos besides this infinite to maybe speedup the match end?
