2, 3, and 4 imo Really, we don't have to work with hypotheses. We have the luxury of discussing real examples with the community. Present your example and it can be discussed. This is very subjective.

In the first level, I saw 2 optimization errors. You waited between jumps on the multi-coin block and you jumped a couple pixels too high on the flag. I didn't watch past that.

Yes, it's good to establish a basis of understanding by hearing an expert's opinion. However, it's not good to consider that expert's opinion to be absolute truth without investigating the source material yourself, especially if you are wishing that expert's opinion is wrong. This means that one should read the law oneself before giving in and considering the legality of an action to be "too convoluted". Discouragement from research is not productive. Of course, if, after research, you verify the expert's opinion to be true, then it's practical to consider it true yourself until proven otherwise.

Where did you get that idea? I never said anything like that. Edit: To clarify, the only thing I'm objecting here is your statement that the law should only be understood by those with law degrees. I have not taken any "side" in any of the previous discussion. I read that line and felt like it would be useful to broaden your mind in regard to who can interpret law. Also, I'm not Warp, in case you got mixed up.

As a scientist, you should have a healthy skepticism even regarding your own learnings. New theories don't come about if old theories (example: Earth-centric universe) are considered absolute truth. In the same way, it should be considered that what a lawyer tells you to be true about the law may not be true. Research is productive. The law is something written to be interpreted, just as nature is something which exists to be understood.

The threat of extradition is interesting, but the legality of it is so convoluted, I wouldn't pretend to understand it (and neither should you, unless you have a law degree).
So nobody can understand the law except those with law degrees? That's ridiculous. Don't give up before you even try. The law is freely available to the people for a reason.

PlayStation was made by Sony. Mega Man was made by Capcom. I don't see how that's a Sega TAS at all. Also, I nominate this: [1779] Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog 2 by FuzZerd, Sonikkustar, upthorn, Aglar in 18:42.37

I agree with BrandonE. If, for example, someone like Adelikat wrote a Dragon Warrior 4 luck manipulation bot with a loose route to optimize and video output showing the current frame and state of various memory addresses, I'm sure a distributed computing project surrounding that could become very popular. Obviously this sort of thing could be applied to many TAS projects. Having the video output with the current state would definitely be awesome.

I think ALAKTORN is trying to ask what the code does which is executed following the already-described circumstances which initiate the glitch. What does that code do? Why does it crash the game or start the credits sequence or warp you to somewhere seemingly at random? Yes, it's difficult to disambiguate between the questions, "How is the glitch performed?", "What does the glitch do?", and "Through what method does the glitch do what it does?", especially if English is not your first language. I hope this post is somewhat helpful for clarity.

Tompa FractalFusion I'm not sure how they split the workload, but but their Pokémon Ruby TAS causes me to want to nominate at least one of them, if not both. Edited to remove GoddessMaria due to the below information. Of course I respect her contribution, but if FractalFusion did most of it, then he is the one deserving of the nomination. Thanks for pointing that out, Zeupar!
