It takes 17 frames for 0.5 of my HP to vanish in both the score counting at the end of each level as well as when an enemy is damaging me.
I wonder though, if it is not possible to take more damage, since it seems to boost you
Now that you mentioned it, it's indeed possible to damage boost at the barrels in level 2. That would have saved at least 30 frames. >_< You can't damage boost anywhere else in the game though, besides the weird spike things in level 5 which I did. Well, putting that on the possible improvement section...

Ugh, your views of entertaining are horrible in my opinion. Have any of you guys seen antd's youtube channel? Now THAT'S entertainment in SSB. Why can't we have runs with incorporations of that sort of style?
I'm agreeing on that.

I wish the SMV was available. I'm currently at the tree boss, but lost at least 10 frames on the way. (I'm starting over due to too many possible improvements.)

Since 2007, when I try to upload something a message pops up: "Processing, please wait. Once it finishes you'll see a confirmation message" or something along those lines. So when I want to upload something I have to send the file to a friend who logs into my account and uploads it for me.

I'd love to see a testrun movie as I still don't know how the glitch actually looks like and how severely it skips the game.^^

Btw, I made a small demonstration of how a run of the hard level could look like (I didn't care about bad bonus screen set-up, though). http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/147986503/theaxeman-sml%2Bmugghardleveldemo.vbm You'll have to fast-forward as I kept TheAxeMan's run in instead of starting from savestate. The run ends on the submarine level.

Some videos have a satisfying description, though. I'd say, we tell him to describe all the remaining videos better and authors who don't want their videos to belong to his account should have them removed He's also got some 'important' videos like Super Mario Land. It's much easier to search for "Mario Land" and click on the first result and watch the video than downloading it from here. You can use that account for advertisement purposes, too.

Ok, it's been some time since I posted something. It's not much, but TASing Kirby with the goal of achieving 100% can be tedious with all the route planning and luck-manipulation stuff... And it's also been some time because I accidently deleted progress. This happens frequently, no matter how careful I act >.> I finally found a good way to continue after beating the first boss. In my previous WIPs, I went directly to Olive Ocean - in this one, I sacrifice a few frames in order to keep the wheel ability and went towards Mustard Mountain and finish other rooms before going there. This WIP ends somewhere in Candy Constellations. I plan to go to the area boss and beat him, so I end up next to the Rainbow Route main gate (I don't know a better term) and then I get the opportunity to take a new wheel ability before going to Olive Ocean. (Again, when taking a route it's always the best to already have the wheel ability (or missile depending on the circumstances). So, If I had continued my previous attempt, there would have been more routes without the opportunity of getting wheel. I would have had to get it from room 8 in Rainbow Route or somewhere which would cost time!) The WIP doesn't require further explanations and comments. Only one thing: frame 31050: The original plan was to visit this room so the other room refreshes and I can continue my way. I planned to later take a warpstar from Mustard Mountain to Candy Constellations (room 3) to get the treasure in room 4 (then I would warp out and re-enter for the route to room 8 ...). However, I discovered that straightly getting the treasure in room 4 is faster. Getting this treasure requires getting stone ability, so it'd have been quite a mess (I don't want to explain, why - It's really (!) complicated.) I kept my original route, the margin isn't that big (about 100 frames), and I save a wheel ability. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1609730876/MUGG-KAM%20v3%2C1002.vbm Hope I didn't forget something. I may add / post a "newly discovered tricks"-section.

I'm highly interested in this project, too! And I have a question, why do you slightly stop in 0:15 of that latest avi?

There are several games and series matching your criteria, at least from what I can see on the pictures.. http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/image/571081.html http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/image/571136.html http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/image/571266.html http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/image/571444.html http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/image/570940.html http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/image/588733.html http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/image/588754.html http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/image/571177.html http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/image/588801.html http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/image/588866.html

You mean like New Super Mario Bros?
Oh. =P Still gotta buy that one... (I rather dislike the new generation of games (games for NDS, Wii etc))

"Voted yes", liked the movie a lot. This game is really neat and I appreciated seeing more of it this time. Not too many "extra"ordinary events, but certainly it appears to be fast. So is anyone working on an improvement, if that is in fact possible?
There's a newly discovered time saver. But even without it, this movie could be improved by some seconds. Using the time saver, I'm currently in level 2. But I only TAS it when I'm bored. Personally, I think this game needs a run completely without corner-boosts or other time-savers that take away from entertainment, though. (You could open ?-blocks instead of slightly missing them and jump around and kill enemies instead of ducking every 8 frames)
