I'm voting Meh... I have a few issues with this run:
  • Doesn't get Orb in YI1
  • Wait a minute why are we in YI3 already
  • That's not how Iggy works !!
  • Hit Rate, Defeat Rate ???
  • Doesn't get 99 lives
  • Doesn't use cloud in the Bows... in the... uuuh... wait what is this even
  • "game end (looks like a) glitch"

I chose 2.0 simply because 2.2 wasn't released yet. It is quite possible that 2.2 works with hourglass, and if you seriously want to TAS it then I suggest using Windows XP (I installed it on a virtual machine), because the game tended to crash after just a few rerecords, making TASing a very slow and annoyingly painful process. Good luck

Oh right I watched this, too! I actually liked it! Turns out skipping all boring long parts of a game makes it entertaining to watch. (Though I couldn't actually read the full submission text because, come on, boy that's long) Shoutouts to fireballs being placed perfectly into an HP bar. Yes vote.

My point being, this rejection reason tells me that I should try submitting a movie that doesn't take as long to finish. (Say, having a mechakoopa spawn on top of Bowser who is reduced to have only 1 hit left)

I'm kind of... sad that the judge's comment is what it is. Of course there is no way that this could be accepted, I know that, and this is obviously a joke submission. But seeing how I put a lot of effort into this and then it just being judged as a joke with silly jokes from the judge is kind of unsatisfying. But maybe I'm just too used to having a real reason for rejection at the end of a submission text.

If you're on SNES, why not use lsnes. It's full of neat lua functions. (You'd have to port MarI/O over to lsnes though.) Edit: Don't get me wrong here. The reason I'm suggesting lsnes for extended lua script needs is simply because it's the emulator with the most amount of lua features you can find. (Edit2: Oh and also it supports Lua 5.3 whereas BizHawk only supports Lua 5.1)

Sadly you still didn't include my 1-1 strategy which is faster in that room (but not overall because of frame rules, but it would still add to the entertainment value). I saw other places (especially going around corners) which could be improved by some frames. (Yes, even places that aren't using a global frame rule at the end) Altogether I had to decide between a Meh and a No vote and I've decided for a No vote, not because I don't think this should be accepted, but because I just couldn't enjoy myself seeing missed chances and kind of sloppy gameplay.

Since you created this petition I want to ask you personally Warp: Did you try out a Virtual Reality headset with all the useless argumented reality features yourself? I'm not accusing you of anything, I'm just wondering if you can support your opinion with your own experiences.

The solution wasn't a solution to the generic problem of saving a value on a savestate. It was a solution to the specific problem which could be solved without that feature.

There is no function in DeSmuMe that is being called when you save a state. The only thing you can do is use lua itself to save a state (with the savestate.save() and savestate.load() functions).
