Sorry it's taken so long but from what I can tell that movie doesn't actually beat the game.

I found this extremely boring tbh, an RPG tas that is nothing but battles is not very interesting. No vote.
Now while I haven't watched this TAS in particular, I feel that's not a very fair assessment of things. I feel with RPGs you need to take a different approach to watching them.

I checked myself: it does send more garbage and it is much more effective. Link to video User movie #53155561130188706 As one can quite clearly see, this is super sloppy: I had a ton of moments of indecision and forgot to speed up the fall of the blocks the whole time but I still managed to beat the submission's first level by 173 frames by using better clearing strategies.

Does the amount of garbage you send at your opponent increase with larger chains? Would that be more effective than the strategies you did here?

Even if we don't implement the button can we at least have the fiery pits of hell as a feature of tasvideos?

Not quite a copy, the method to clear is different but it's clearly similar otherwise.

All the games share the same money count, right? So surely it doesn't matter which game you play, the goal is just to hit the maximum amount of money, which is the end of content/best possible state to reach?
The amount of money as means of measuring completion was addressed in my first paragraph as being seemingly unacceptable for Vault.

So it appears there is an issue. This TAS does not have good enough reception to make it to Moons. This game does not have a clear ending and this movie does not reach any point that could be used for game completion as listed in our rules for games without clear endings. At first glance one would think it would qualify as full completion given it aims for maximum score but it fails to follow those guidelines as well. I suppose one could make the argument that completing a single game would count as completion but I believe that would also be fairly trivial and therefore also unacceptable to Vault. Does anyone think otherwise?

I think what feos wants to know is if there are any special actions required to make the movie sync in spite of it?

I think that what we should take away from all this is considering setting clear expectations for professional behavior from staff members in some sort of guidelines page similar to how we have guidelines for other things. This could go a long way towards reducing the amount of incidents we have as a whole.

For a rather direct response to those who don't understand the usage of plural, multiple publishers were involved in the flooding of encodes on that day. This is information that can be accessed by anyone, all such changes to publications can be found in the TASVideos discord at any time.

Bonk III appears to be based off Bonk's Adventure's engine instead of Revenge: Address Table I did a quick test TAS of 1-1: Link to video User movie #52775436476338341 It's probably a bit suboptimal. If you do like any hovering at all and then land on a slope it seems you land on your head like every time. Personally I find this a bit less fun to TAS than both Adventure and Revenge so I probably won't work on this much more right away but I wanted a break from my current project so I took a quick look.

I don't see the need to specify Spike here, I'd hope it'd be the same for any staff that pulls something like this.

Regarding some encoders/publishers allegedly trying to bury publications,
This is no longer an allegation, this is now a fact. One of the publishers admitted to doing it. I'm not even suggesting to throw them specifically under the bus, I just want us as staff to take some responsibility for all this.

I think it is about time to start from the beginning and describe what these accounts actually are. A couple years back a user named Unknown394 abused sockpuppets in an attempt to uprate their own submission. For most people the story ended there, however it in fact continued. The user also had multiple youtube channels which he pretended were unique people. On some of these channels, he stole other people's TAS content without permission. This is what Spike's tweets were referring to. Multiple legitimate users called him out on it, BUT there were also a series of accounts that were created at these dates for seemingly the sole purpose of calling Unknown out on this behavior. All but one was created on the same date: January 24th. These accounts later seemed to follow Spike wherever he went, agreeing with him at key junctures and attacking users he was known to have problems with at the time. As messages from The8BitBeast indicated prior, he received a large number of dislikes from Australia but unfortunately one can set one's country of origin to whatever one pleases, so this is not a solid indicator. However I still find it very hard to believe Spikestuff is not involved considering the ties between him and the exact behaviors of the accounts. Now while I cannot prove that Spikestuff is definitively behind the accounts, what I can prove is that Spikestuff talks way too much about stuff he shouldn't. Spikestuff has an incredibly bad habit of leaking private or staff information. In fact he had leaked from Staff areas prior to me becoming staff in order to bash other staff members that he disliked or disagreed with https://i.imgur.com/yEgAbVG.png Multiple completely uninvolved users have reported to me Spikestuff talking to them about Bruno and his previous comments to Spike, something I would hope would be kept private and between staff. One of these users was told as recently as the 17th of this year. Spikestuff has also previously mentioned an invite-only Pacman discord where he and others made fun of the events surrounding #6128: itsPersonnal's GC SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom "In-Game Codes" in 02:06.08. Now while this may not seem directly related to the comments at first glance, the fact is that Spikestuff talks about TASVideos drama to so many people and makes a spectacle of it. Because he does this, it's easily possible for somebody else to have jumped in on whatever he was making fun of at the time and created one of the comments previously listed. At the very least I cannot see Spike as a team player, as trustworthy, as an acceptable representative of TASVideos, and as someone I would want to work with at this time.

A user has provided me with screenshots of a conversation with spikestuff in a private message on discord in which he essentially bragged about intentionally flooding TASVideos Channel with re-encodes after Super Mario Bros. was published: https://imgur.com/a/fHTf4XM The user wishes to remain anonymous and was very hesitant to provide me with these screenshots to begin with, but I absolutely believe their validity. EDIT: Obviously this provides no evidence that spikestuff was behind the YT comments but it pretty clearly proves that the re-encodes were done specifically in response to Super Mario Bros. EDIT2: I find https://i.imgur.com/kKVy2jC.png in particular to be an interesting comment because I doubt just anybody could make it. I heavily doubt regular users would know just by looking whether or not a video spammed filters. Noticing an issue with a video is one thing, but knowing the source of the issue is another entirely. The only people I could see noticing such a thing are those with encoding knowledge to begin with, which unfortunately points to publishing staff.
