Hey welcome to the mac club. I have a similar issue with my mupen where I installed the necessary components and I still can't run mupen. something about failing to initialise direct 3D. alsi I am running on a VM since I heard wine is really bad if you want to get rid of it.[/img]
Hey, great to know there are more Mac TASers. I should not run via VM, just run the .exe via Wine, it works great for me, but not the TASinput.

Hey! I have Mupen64-rr 0.5 runnong on a Mac with Wine and most stuff just works fine, but I downloaded the TAS Input Plugin 0.6 and added the TASDI.dll in the Plugins folder and select it as my input plugin, the game starts, and I get a small white screen (I supposed that is meant to be the control panel with the analog stick and buttons etc.) and just an emulation window, but I can't control the plugin. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance, -Mvf314 P.S. I dunno if this matters, but I have the d3dx9_24.dll file in the mupen folder, and I guess it's DX9 and the plugin says you need DX7 or higher. Maybe the problem is here?

Hey, How can I run lsnes on Ubuntu 64-bit 14.04? Do I have to install it via the command line or something? Also, I'm new to Ubuntu so please don't go rambling about Linux jargon :p Thanks, -Mvf314
As there are no precompiled binaries for Linux AFAIA, you'll need to compile it yourself. This is really not all that difficult. I can guide you through the process, if you want (preferrably via IRC because of the short response times, visit #tasvideos on Freenode: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#tasvideos).
What time zone are you in? Because then I can plan it :P

Hey, I couldn't find a good Lua tutorial for snes9x, and I can't figure out how to do it. Can anybody help me with this? P.S. I dunno if I placed this in the wrong category. If I did, moderator please move it.

Yeah ok, I didn't use a Lua script. Also, I tried Lsnes but it seems so... complicated. I guess I'll give it another try :)

Hey everybody, I have been TASing for a month now and I tried to make a Kaizo Mario World TAS. It was good IMO, and I'm proud of it. So, as this is my first Kaizo TAS, would you please leave some feedback? Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8f_ga2Vp10 SMV download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/efp8tmzk9uyx2c5/Kaizo_World1_Any_1.smv?dl=0 Thanks, Mvf314 P.S. I'm sorry for the early ending, becaus otherwise YouTube wouldn't let me upload it. P.P.S. I also have no real way to encode videos, so deal with it until I have a solution.

Hey! I'm TASing using snes9x-rr and FCEUX on Wine (because I have a Mac and it is the only thing that works) and the TASing works fine, but if I try to record as AVI, I can choose 4 codecs but only one will work and the AVI glitches out. So, anyone here knows how to install codecs for use on Wine? Thanks, -Mvf314
