It took me two days to realize that 'progamers' was meant to be parsed as 'pro-gamers' and not 'programmers'. I'm not sure why my mind kept tossing in the extra R.
I kept reading it as programmers as well. I kept wondering "what does this have to do with programming" when I was watching the linked video.

My vote goes for the Neutral ending, even if it's not the fastest, simply because it seems to be the ending that's SMT2 starts from.

I'd love to see a run of this, but I'm not sure how interesting it would be without some extreme luck manipulation/bug abuse. If I recall correctly, the easiest way to beat most enemies was to use a gun that produced some kind of status effect (sleep/stun) over and over again.

That was pretty fun to watch. It probably would have been boring if it had gone on longer though, so good job. Yes vote.

I enjoyed the run, and completely missed the whole "omg bears having sex" part until I saw the discussion here. I voted yes, because I was entertained by the skill of the TASing and it was an improvement over a previous movie.

I'd love to see all the treasures collected, since I never managed to do it myself.

This is a problem I have with about 30-40% of the TASvideos avi-files I have. It has gotten better lately though, but some avi-files still have sound that desyncs after a short while. But as you said, it's easily fixed by rewinding a seconds or two.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem. It does seem like it's getting better though.

When I did this for college, I was a INFJ (stron I and N, weak F). This one shows me as: INTJ Strength of the preferences % 56 88 12 33 moderately expressed introvert very expressed intuitive personality slightly expressed thinking personality moderately expressed judging personality Now I have to wonder, have I over time switched from Feeling to Thinking, or is it a margin of error kind of thing (ie I'm fairly close to the border, so different tests put me in different categories).

Oops. I'm sorry I did that. I just joined, and the other forums I'm in don't have a search function. I'll make sure next time I use that feature of this one! So... nobody seems to know what the hack is called, or where to find it?
Not to pick on you or anything, but I think this is the 3rd or 4th forum where this topic appears. So far no one knows where to find this ROM, which is a shame.

This might be better suited for a "Baseball Simulator 1.000" romhack. At least that way you can give the players super powers.
What about that robot baseball game? Base Wars, I think it was? Wouldn't you like to be converted into some hoverbot with a laser sword?

Mine features Michelle and Maggie from the R.O.D TV anime series, characters that use paper as weaponry. In particular though, this is an idle animation sprite from some doujin software called ElePaperAction.
Excellent choice of avatar/anime, if I may say so.

I have the ROD OVA I think... With agent paper, and agent deep, and Genjo, and some electric guy and a flying german and insect girl? Is there more to the show? really like it. Anyway, yes diminutives is exactly what I was looking for.
Yeah, that's the OVA. There's also "R.O.D. - The TV" which is a kind of spinoff/sequel to the OVA. It's pretty good, as long as you can get over the fact that Yomiko (The Paper) doesn't show up until about half-way through.

i'm just dropping by to say, why (as it seems) is 'pride' being used as a viceword? a good definition of pride is claiming what is due to oneself. it seems obvious that this is a virtue, not a vice.
Pride goeth before a fall, and all that. I will agree that "pride movie" is a bit misleading. I think "vanity movie" is closer to what was intended. And while it may be a virtue to have pride in your work, it can quickly become a vice if your "pride" leads you into self-destructive situations (i.e. I can't back down now, it's a matter of pride).

I watched the movie, and despite the fact that the "fall off the world, win the race" glitch was kind of tired by the end, I was still entertained. Voting yes.

EDIT: Not exactly on the same topic, but related-- The rules state "Do not look at getting a run published as the ultimate goal and do the run half-heartedly. Put your heart into the run itself", yet Comicalflop got made fun of and derided for doing that exact thing. Just a little more inconsistency...
I think the point of these rules is to discourage people from submitting mediocre runs, just so they can be "the first" to get a movie out. Let's say you and I are both doing a SMB1 run, and strangely enough there are no SMB1 runs on the site. Now, my goal is to be the first one to get a SMB1 movie published, but I don't really know the game that well. So I produce a movie, that while it is optimized, isn't much more interesting than a standard speedrun. You, on the other hand, love SMB1 and have forgotten more tricks for it than most people will ever know. Your goal is to put out a movie that shows off all the neat things SMB1 can be made to do, because you really love that game. Which movie do you think will be superior, in that situation? What happens if your SMB1 movie is a few frames slower than mine, but everyone loves it because of how cool it is? How do we decide which movie is worthy of being published? In the end, do we (as a community) want a site full of really fast, and yet at the same time really cool movies, or do we just want to see who can pump out half-assed speedruns the quickest?

Imo, using the multiplication glitch would make the game easier = not interesting. All you have to do is attack and move on. No plot, politic or anything else needed. Well, not 100% true depending of the scenario you play.
It depends on how you use it. If used in moderation, say to skip having to train/draft alot, it would be fine. Using it to steamroll everyone in your path would be boring though. I guess a lot depends on how easy it is to manipulate plot successes. It might be fun to see someone go in with a handful of troops, then have an uncanny string of successful plots and win in the battle. In short, I guess what I'm saying is that there are enough options available that the run shouldn't become repetitive, and thus be overly boring to watch.

IV on the SNES has the soldier duplication bug. It's very cheap, but it's still something I would consider. I haven't played III, so I can't really comment on it. I am however in support of making this run, regardless of which version you use.
