Nach(Plus) pointed out to me that currently in the workbench there's a good amount of PSX runs that are going unclaimed or taking long to judge because it appears many judges also don't want to pick up PSX.
Having done possibly the majority of my TASing on PSX, I'd be willing to pick up on judging for that platform, as well as other emulators which judges seem to be less comfortable with (e.g. N64, possibly also DS or Arcade and such). I could pick up on these systems too. Speaking of Arcade, do much if any judges have experience with fighting game TASes? I could probably help out much on that front too.
I think Nahoc would make for a better GCN/Wii judge than me, but I think I could help in solving the other problem, with PSX and other such platforms/emulators.

Speed shouldn't actually be that much of a hindrance. For one, in my experience at least, Dolphin runs faster than DeSmuME.
I have made a couple DS TASes which only ran at 30 fps on my PC; it's far from impossible to TAS on slower emulators. Speed shouldn't make much of a difference because you'd be frame advancing most of the time while TASing anyway.

Shouldn't the rerecord count of this TAS be brought to 0, because the bot rerecords are typically discounted because they mess with the Movie Statistics, and the real amount of rerecords isn't known?

Okay, I watched this. Initially I was skeptic about another minimum press run, as Super Mario Bros. didn't entertain me either. Then I noticed some positive feedback, including from HappyLee, who was known for criticising the SMB1 minimum presses run. It was stated multiple times that SMB3 would make a "more" entertaining run.
Then when I watched the run, though, I was quite disappointed.
Many of the initial problems I noticed with SMB1 were still there. For one, minimum presses is still not interesting to watch at all, without the DDR lua script and the commentary provided. Without the script, it's most of the time rather hard to see where you're saving presses, and the end result just looks like a boring and suboptimal playthrough.
Now, for the things SMB3 would offer. The fact that 20 seconds are wasted because of the title screen already made the TAS begin with a very slow start. The gameplay after was a bit more entertaining than SMB1 minimum presses, which is still not much.
But then the autoscrollers came. Rather than all other SMB3 TASes, which aim for goals like 99 lives in these sections, they were boring as all get-out. The autoscrollers are what define SMB3 TASing, and the majority of it is spent walking into walls with the occasional jump to progress, or to dodge something. It's incredibly dull.
Some other things were neat, but nothing really entertaining in any way. The only thing that was interesting was the Bowser Battle, but even that started to get dull as it dragged on.
My vote is no. I don't think minimum presses makes for a publishable category.

This is somewhat related: I made a more game/TAS oriented logo back when I encoded my April Fools submission. Rather than just introductory TASVideos text and encoder name, I also included game and player name, and a game series-related theme/image.
I don't think we need to overdo the amount of information (as in creaothceann's image), but I think some stats like these could possibly be handy in the introductory logo.

You should read the discussion thread; there's some useful information in there.
Personally I think the fastest way to go is Flame Man, then weakness order. RCW6 doesn't have the quick charge glitch that NES MM6 has, which slows down more bustering usage (I don't know how fast Centaur Flash is, though).
Where is Wind Storm useful over other weapons such as Flame Blast? I don't think there's enough use for it to warrant a potentially significant slowdown in Wind Man's bossfight.
In any case, good luck with the TAS. I really think the RCW series (4 and 6 in particular) for a nice entertaining and sufficiently different TAS from the NES games.

Voting no, because what it essentially does is use a password to skip to the credits. Even if the password wasn't intended to do that, that doesn't change the fact a password was used to skip the game.
I also didn't find it entertaining in the slightest, it was just going to chapter 3 (with minimal gameplay), waiting for a short while, and entering the password for instant credits. Doesn't count as a real speedrun, in my opinion.

I have to say, after watching it, that it's a really nice TAS. The HSWK parts are actually quite entertaining, and the BLJ-less Bowser stages are also quite nice to watch.
Still not sure if it would've been sufficient to publish as its own category, next to the other SM64 runs, but it's a nice entertaining SM64 TAS on its own.

Sure, it doesn't use BLJ, but it still uses another trick which similarly allows unreachable speeds to glitch through doors. In effect, it has the same results, only slower, and getting one star rather than zero.
