I can't get the vbm file to play as a movie. Is it because I'm using the wrong version of visual boy advance?

I was wondering if anyone else here has the game... Anyhow: 1-1 Plant Plain: 0:08:21 (Metaknight) 1-2 Tiny Town: 0:19:42 (Metaknight) 1-3 Ravine Road: 0:17:47 (Kirby) 2-1 Ghost Grounds: 0:31:04 (Metaknight) 2-2 Growth Grasses: 0:19:78 (Metaknight) 2-3 Mag Mount: 0:13:96 (Metaknight) 3-1 Rift Ruin: 0:16:53 (Metaknight) 3-2 Contrast Cave: 0:16:79 (Kirby) I might try to improve these times when I get a chance. EDIT: Updated Tiny Town and Ravine Road times, and added world 2. EDIT 2: Updated all scores except Ravine Road now that I've unlocked Metaknight. I'm confident Ghost Grounds can be improved by at least several seconds (part of the level after the second set of spinners was definately not optimized) and Growth Grasses by some seconds too (with quick actions in the bubbling part) EDIT 3: Revamped list, times improved and Rift Ruin + Contrast Cave added.

I'll keep that in mind too. Gradius II and kill enemies just before lag manifests.

I like shooters so I've considered trying one of those for my first TAS. Before I start, though, would you people be more intrested in a run that kills enemies as early or as late as possible?

It can be applied to pretty much any trainer, though, and can yield other pokemon.

Have you tried doing boss fights so that you do them in the same amount of time but end up with a lower star count (HP)? I'm sure it could be done for one or two of them, maybe taptap?

I'd say don't linger around too long doing point tricks, keep going at a moderately fast pace through the game.

Where is it, then? I downloaded bittorrent's (apparantly) source but it just said it's already been installed and ask if it wanted to upgrade it to 4.0.4, which I'm already using. I'm not sounding too stupid, am I?

The page says to use btlaunchmany.py, but I don't have the file. (4.0.4 version of BitTorrent) Is there any other way to do it? EDIT: And by page I mean http://tasvideos.org/HowToRunBtfriendInWindows.html

Okay, it works fine with the japanese ROM. What're the mechanics behind that techinque where you rapidly swapped between the left and right sides of the screen, that one you used to get the magnet beam?

Both times I tried to watch the movie it desynched in Wily1's spike room. Anything I could try to remedy this? From what I saw, though, a definite yes.
