If you try and re-manipulate it every time you think of just one input, you will go crazy :D
Sit on it, maybe you'll find other things in the mean time, or maybe someone will figure out how the big glitch works.
At places like 9:25, can you not do an early jump (doing the jump before earlier to accomodate, of course) so you fall faster and don't have to slow down as much horizontally?
Similarly at 10:01, while ascending, if you waited until the last frame you don't run into the wall before starting to hold right, you'll have more horizontal speed coming out of it, right?
Memory Hacking Software. http://memoryhacking.com/download.php You use it to find addresses in emulated games. (If you've ever seen skater82297, cosmowright or sockfolder stream with a bunch of memory adddresses up, they're using MHS)
What I think you should look into, RAM addresses wise,
->Pac-man speed
->Positions
->Cursor position
->Important sprite position(Example:the dog position)
I think Fighting Game TASes get a really bad rap on this site, but this one wasn't the one to change everybody's mind. I echo TheReflexWonder (EX Flash Chop or EX Elbow Slash to end the car), and creaothceann's comments.
I do think the Hugo rounds are a glimpse of what would make a solid TAS.
We already have a lot of good fighting game TASes on the site. Most of them are under the Arcade section and are moons.
Does it need to be local multiplayer, netplay multiplayer or either is OK?
Twinkle Star Sprites [Arcade] is a split-screen competitive shmup that can be played local multiplayer or (I think using Mame and GGPO?) netplay.
Catherine [PS3, X360] is a puzzle game with a competitive two player mode.
