Does the site still have that concept demos section? Because this seems to be the perfect example to 'Yes' for that category. If not, I will give a weak yes anyway. Due to the fact that what is there is a good watch, and I am one who hopes every game will have a TAS one day. If this is the best we can have so be it. But any other run (100%/any%/low%/whatever) that reaches the ending should obsolete it. To the runners; my condolences... this situation is just ugh.

If there had to be a Rose and/or Dark run, you could do the 'extra' stages for those teams. (Collect 200 rings/Destroy 100 robots respectively) That could offer enough variance from the vanilla Sonic run to be worth doing. Might want to get the first level started before figuring out additional runs though.

I hope you are right. I think I have said earlier in the topic, but I do hope a Blaze run can be both entertaining and unique enough to be worth a second video. As for making an 100% run; Whilst I mostly prefer 100% runs, it would be awful in this game. You need emeralds, and no one likes Special Stages. Unlike Advance2+3 (And maybe sonic1 and 2) the process of getting to said SS is not going to be interesting/different enough to justify seven 2 minute placebos. (This is ignoring S ranks in 100% definition, but I do not know even the basics to debate that.) I would hope that instead of an 100% run, you do 2 runs. Sonic, and Blaze. As a Blaze run would need to start with a SRAM anyway, (thats the correct term right?) finishing her run with the Super Sonic/Burning Blaze fight fits perfectly. If you can start with her you can have all the Chaos emeralds already unlocked. But feel free to go for it on Rush Adventure. (Can't remember exactly what about RA game made me think 100% would work. I'll have to look at the game again to remember.) edit; rewording of rushed last line to make sense.

Damn VC... I think you have just made your Colours run look like just another vid. Past Rush wips may have been fast, but that had style too. I did not even hope Rush videos could look like that. Possibly my fave speedrun from anyone to date. I have been waiting for a Sonic Advance 1 run that shows off the speed you can achieve in the game (rather than how you can skip the game.) since vba was released. Easy yes.

I'm not a fan of low%, but was looking forward to this for the Ridley fight, and you didn't disappoint. That fight alone secures my Yes vote.

There is also the no zips Sonic1 and the recent 'no ultra spindash' Sonic Advance1 which have a similar self imposed restrictions. No (or low) glitch Sonic runs do seem to be getting popular. I for one would prefer this. I assume the no damage restriction will force you to take routes where Super Sonic would be faster?

Not even close. The old wip 100% video at the start of the thread gets to the start of the second zone at a little over 16 minutes. At that time in the current any% (which it itself is out of date) Sonic is pretty much on the final bosses, and of those three fights, two bosses have Super Sonic unavailable and the other one would not be helped by Super Sonic. But that some what leads on to...

I do not believe he has a 'concern'. I believe he is agreeing with you on your choice to get all the emeralds as soon as possible, so you can show off Super Sonic on as much of the game as you can. Also that the (massive) time loss in Emerald Hill, will be worth it to see what Super Sonic can do from Chemical Plant to the End of the game. I am curious to see what the time difference form Chemical Plant 1 to Death Egg, for any% vs 100% will be though.

Chronological order can not be done. The second hero level takes place before the first hero level and first hero boss. (Wild canyon takes place before City escape and Big Foot. Especially Big Foot considering that boss is at 'night'.) I believe this is the only time this 'problem' comes up though. edit;Big Foot I mean.

I would agree that if a Hector mode run is done, it should be on hard. Eliwood, I have no preference on mode used.

Not at all. I will probably never seriously sit down a watch any 'any%' FE run. A ranked run I was interested in seeing as soon as I had played the game.

So... that "something else" was fantastic, really brilliant, and god knows I want you continue doing your thing with the other something else's(i.e. 2,3,+K,CDetc)... But how is this coming along?
