Now that someone says it, I really would like to see a run of all four games in Quattro Adventure beaten, mostly for the fact I've never been able to beat any of them myself.

Mine is of my Mega Man X fan character. This avatar also doubles as my deviantArt icon, but my dA icon blinks.

Hello Serial-X, and welcome to the forums! If it makes you feel any better, you're not the first person to mistake me for site owner. :)
Though I bet you're plotting to hijack ownership from Bisqwit, aren't you? =P

A friend and I got to thinking... What NES games had that weird little laughter sound effect in it? So far, we've come up with the following: Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (Game Over) Kung Fu (Upon dying at a boss) Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! (Various taunt/fight losing sequences) Are there any we've missed?

If I actually knew what the name of the hack was, I'd look into it further.

From Seanbaby's Ninja Gaiden page: "There used to be some myth that came out in the eighties about ninjas being sneaky or something. Wrong. That is Western propaganda spread by shitty American martial arts movies. A true ninja just runs around on the streets in broad daylight and makes dogs explode with their sword." :D

1. First-Person Shooter speed runs. (Honestly, I hope that with Bisqwit's new run that more people will do PC stuff.) 2. The Famtasia Era (The one I joined in! I feel like such a lazy vet. XD) 3. The frame-by-frame era. 4. The future!

Oh hey! I didn't know you came here too. Awesome! You think there might be a chance of giving the program a little update so it's more Vista-friendly? Try as I might, I can't get CORRUPT to work on Vista, so I've had to use something else instead.

I've also tried using Corrupt on Vista here (I didn't have a choice for my new laptop, blah. >_<), and it won't even let me run it, so I'm stuck using Sapros for my corruptor. It seems like it's essentially the same thing though, but more simplified. So pretty much, you just have to know some values and plug 'em in, basically? Also, how much would you recommend for a range if I'm just playing around with stuff?

OK, so recently I've been trying to play around with ROM corrupters so I could replicate some of those things on YouTube where they've put, say, Super Mario Bros, Metroid, etc. with different strange versions with them. I've never used a ROM corrupter before. I'm using Sapros right now because that's the only one that's worked on Vista right now. Anyway, I don't really know how to work a ROM corruptor. Since there's many people who dig around in code and have more knowledge than I, could someone give me a hand to guide me in the right direction of this? YouTube vids for examples I am talking about are here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gN0sY0rX8rI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1m4M3Qlzc8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPlkqXLXwDk Thanks in advance!

Nobody noticed I've been gone, fear my lack of importance! While I still can't TAS worth a damn since I have no idea what I'm doing, I've been having fun with silly little glitches, weird stuff, and other things on my YouTube account. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jx8UfYkjYPs Using bunches of weird glitches, and putting it to the tune of the Mortal Kombat movie theme...I goof off! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4taJq-7w6B0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bI3p-l5GoAE Having a blast doing SMB1 backwards. If I ever do a TAS, this is what it's gonna be about. Levels 1-1 and 1-3 done. Note that there's a slight error in 1-3 where I end up facing right for a very brief instant. I just didn't feel like going back and doing it again for the ump-teenth time. I'll show off more when I got more.

I meant the TAS-ing version. I like the spiffied up emu better. Plus, once I decide to make a TAS that's not going to suck, I won't have to download anything further. =P

Use another emulator? why would you want to TAS this game? i don't see any tasing possibilities for an obscure fighting game.
My TAS emulator doubles as my main emu for playing as well. I like this game and have even written the FAQ a while back on GameFAQs for it. Well if the emu is ever booted up to the 1.5 version, I'll be sure to play it again.

I've tried a few different ROMs already, and for some reason the emu can't even be bothered to boot it up. Any idea on why that could be?

I use LiveJournal only. I have a MySpace account, but I never, ever, ever use it. I think I only joined because someone ended up forcing me to, and then just abandoned the account ASAP. I'd rather not have morons I know from the past showing up acting like they're all my friends and crap. Like, say, most of the people I grew up with.
