None of them. I was able to watch the Maniac Mansion one just fine, so it can't be the last six. I'll try it again with an older speedrun and let you know. Edit: I played around with some things and got it to work. Go ahead and lock the thread now.

OK, here's the scoop. I've re-formatted my computer. I've put back up DivX, Xvid, FFShow, and mplayer back on here. The thing is, none of these files will work at all. Normally, I can play these in Winamp just fine, but they won't work at all. When I try to play them in mplayer, I keep getting an error related that it can't display the frame for some reason. I have no idea what I'm missing or doing wrong. Could someone suggest something? It's driving me nuts. >_<

I haven't been able to actually do any sort of run with this. I'm very, very unconfident about my speedrunning abilities due to the combination of I know some aspects and not others, and the fact that I have to save every little eency-weency frame I can or else it's not gonna be very good. Not only that, work has been hell, and one I've been returning to often. I was hoping to do a Zelda glitch run where I do things out of order in the game as an entertainment run, but I wasn't able to. Maybe I'll do this at some point, but the fact remains that I don't think I'd be able to do a good speed run. ^^;

That was a totally awesome run, man. Sweet job on it. Though I do wonder, do you actually have to go into the building in Ankor Wat before you get the glasses? I'd assume it'd have been quicker to just get them before you went in. And I gotta make sure I don't watch the ending again. I'm an emotional pansy. >_<

For entertainment, I think you should name the characters strange names, but you probably don't wanna go back and do that. I would've suggested: Food Nine Lick Uncle Spray Paste Chase!

I see there's a lot of fellow Arfenhouse fans in the...house. Aye, highly fitting! I've actually experimented some with the beam glitch when I first saw it on David Wonn's site (I've put up a ton of minor glitches on David Wonn's site, including one that's used in the Mega Man X speed run. ^_~), and I did happen to come across one time that I was able to escape Zebes at my own leisure when I did it in Brinstar. I'd tried to replicate it for a while, but I couldn't get it to work again. I think that this glitch would be an interesting demonstration. However, for use in speed run purposes, I don't think that it'd be all that good. Kudos for the glitch, though. That's something I never would've thought of doing. I've always been like, freaked out with that timer thing. o_o;

Ohhh, YES! This game. I remember I never could beat it or anything. For some reason, I could never get the last door to finish getting all of them. I'll definitely see what I can do to provide info to anyone who does a speed run of this game. I think it should be the quickest way to an A+. As for the events... Indiana Bart Two pages here, with two levels. There is some stone backtracking to make sure you don't end up falling off the stage, but it's never too far. It'll be nuts to see someone fly through this level like nothing. Remember to watch out for the Maggie statues that shoot the pacifiers at you. Itchy and Scratchy I've only seen this done once, I think. Two levels and two pages. Being very daring against the two of them would lead to some great entertainment. Bartzilla The first part is boring, but the second part could be done with some entertaining ways, since it's an auto-scrolling bit. Some luck manipulation could be done when climbing the building somehow to make the people throw not in your direct path. Two pages for this one. Bartman A personal favorite of mine, and fairly easy too. Bosses can be defeated in seconds flat (except for Burns) with a mere turbo function of the fire button. Only real thing to think about are the radioactive clouds. They don't kill you instantly, but suck your health out like a vampire. One page here. Bart in the Bloodstream Kill the enemies as fast as possible to get that guy that goes "Howdy, there!" to appear (I knew his name at one time, but I lost it.). Once he appears, he comes back after you kill an enemy. You must get him six times to win. That's my basic info to help y'all.

Alrighty! I've gotten my computer fixed, and as soon as I see if I can assign a turbo button to A in a similar fashion as ZSNES, I'm gonna get started on this entertainment run. ^_^ Wish me luck!

I really didn't play it all that much, but from what I played, it was too different from ZAMN for me. A run would be nifty, but I couldn't be of any service this time.

It definitely would be an interesting. It is quite a difficult game, and I'm sure there's some tricks and glitches that can be done. However, it'll probably take a lot of re-records since it's so bloody easy to die. Right now for tricks, I know that there is a controllable jump. That's about the only thing I know. I don't have any maps or anything, but I'm sure that there could be something on GameFAQs about which path to take to beat the game. And I'm sure we'll stumble across some glitches, too. ^_^

Dude, I'm saving a candy bar to eat specifically for your run. You realize I'm totally excited to see this, yes? ^_^

Did you find a way to manipulate the way the Pandora's Box attack thing goes? Whenever I use it, it all runs around the screen like a hyper child on acid in every direction except what would be the most useful.

I just checked, and there aren't any more bonus levels. And I can explain why there aren't any bonus levels either. ^_^ Originally, this game was only supposed to have 36 levels in it. However, someone decided to tack about twelve more levels onto it, and they did that. My guess is that there were going to be bonus levels, but they never got around to adding them in before the game was released, so they probably just forgot to take the bonus level bit out of the game. And that's why you also have two boss fights.

My goal is to beat the game somewhat "normally". I'm completing all the palaces, but I'm using glitches and going out of order to beat the game as unusually as I can cough up. I go through all the palaces, and beat Ganon at the end of the game normally. So I guess it's sort of like a combonation between your Exploration Glitch Run, and flagitious' full-game run. And to clear up things on the Gold Sword, My big intention is to use it in the first couple of palaces in the Dark World, where you don't normally have the Golden Sword. I'll play with the Void Walking some now once I get my computer fixed. ^_^ ---EDIT--- I've been playing with Void Walking on ZSNES (I can't get onto SNES9x 'cause of my computer's all screwy), and all I did was assign a turbo to the A button and I can totally void-walk. The question is, can I do this on SNES9x as well? I've also managed to figure out the way to beat the game without the Book of Mudora. Yes, I know I could just beat the game like in OE's run, but that wouldn't be much fun. After all, my point is to jumble up what I do in the game's order to beat the game. ^_^

Hate to do a double post, but I've been thinking about some major updates to my routes, including starting to plan out a route for the Dark World, since my computer got banged by some virus or hacker or something. I've decided that I'm going to try and use an exploration glitch in the Tower of Hera...if possible...to try to get the Magic Hammer early. If it works, it'll keep the movie entertaining after I have to "shut the rain off" to go to the Mountain Palace. I would've beaten all three palaces without saving Zelda, but the thing is, the Old Man doesn't show up unless you have the Magic Mirror on you, and you do need the Magic Mirror, unless you wanna just stick around and forever be a trapped Pink Bunny in the light world. Now, I've started planning out the Dark World. I really want to avoid doing the Palace of Darkness first, if I can help it. Why? Because I think it'd be awesome not to, because that's what the game tells you to do. With the Magic Hammer in tow, I'll easily walk on by that palace and head on out to other places. My original plan was to actually go to Misery Mire first and complete that, but I forgot that you need the Titan's Mitt to lift the stone to get into Misery Mire. I also want to beat palaces 5 and 6 as soon as humanly possible because I'd just like to get the Golden Sword as soon as I can. Besides, it'd be fun to go into the first palace with a golden sword that you're never, ever supposed to have in there. However...is it necessary to have the Fire Rod in order to beat Kholdstare, or can I just hack to pieces that ice casing of his? I'm pretty sure that beating castles 5 and 6 activates the Super Bomb in the Bomb Shop. If I'm mistaken, please correct me. If I don't need the Fire Rod for Kholdstare, here's my projected Dark World Palace Run: 4, 6, 5, 2, 3, 1, 7. And if I do need the Fire Rod before Kholdstare... 4, 6, 3, 5, 2, 1, 7. And again, for the Void Walking, if I remember right, you're supposed to dash every other frame and move at the same time? I read an explanation of this glitch and got confused. And remember, I'm doing a purely entertainment run. Time is of no real concern, so if you have any entertaining ideas to add to this, by all means, let me know.

Totally awesome, Walker. You have a time estimate so far? And you might want to start getting ideas on ways to beat the big spider that Dr. Tongue turns into in level 36. That takes up a TON of ammo every time I've tried to beat him.

Thanks for the encouragement for my own run, guys. ^_^ I'm currently trying to plan what to do if I can manage to go slightly out of my way to grab the Magic Hammer while I'm still going to grab the pendants in the Light World. What I wanna do is when I finally get to the Dark World, I want to skip the first palace altogether. I wouldn't mind actually doing the craziest thing possible and starting with the sixth palace. I was actually planning to do that up until the second I typed this paragraph, but I realized that would involve getting the Titan's Mitt. And as a little added question, the void walk trick is done by pressing the "dash" button every other frame, am I understanding this right? I definitely wanna get this trick in the speed run due to how I think it's completely shibby. As always, suggestions and criticism on my plans right now is welcomed. ^_^

I plan on going into the Chris Houlihan room sometime when I'm in the Dark World. I've been looking into this on GameFAQs and it looks I can get into it from any hole I can walk and fall into on the overworld, but I'm going to look over it further later. For now, I'm just working on the Light World route.

Alrighty. Y'know, I've never actually had the patience to do some sort of "frame-perfect" speed run, so what I plan on doing over a span of time is performing an entertainment run on this game. I want to do everything possible to be entertaining with the run without having to worry about all the hassles of time constraints. So anyway, I've been mapping out my route a bit, and so far, this is the first run of the route I've come up with. I use some exploration glitches and try some things that people would think off-the-cuff or rather strange that actually work. Here now, is my planned route for the Light World. 1. Escape from castle using the sewers. 2. Glitch to the swamp. 3. Go into the swamp building and grab the bombs. 4. Grab the Icerod. 5. Enter the Desert Palace 6. Perform the exploration glitch there to get the Big Key 7. Save and Quit (Since I can't find a way to get myself normal again.) 8. Repeat step 1 9. Repeat step 2 10. Get the Titan's Mitt from the Desert Palace, and exit. 11. Go to the Village. 12. Grab the bottle from the house. 13. Grab the Bug-Catching Net from the boy. 14. Enter & Complete Eastern Palace 15. Glitch back to the swamp. 16. Complete Desert Palace 17. Rescue Zelda 18. Enter & Complete Tower of Hera 19. Save & Quit 20. Get to Agahnim 21. Defeat Agahnim using only the Bug-Catching Net I have a few reasons for some of the things I do, as I'm not doing this all willy-nilly. For the icerod, I"m going to use it to finish off as many bosses as I can in the game. The bottle, not only being useful for keeping some Magic Medicine if I need it, but it's also a requirement for getting the Bug-Catching Net, which I use in my battle against Agahnim. I haven't found another way using exploration glitches to both be able to get the Big Key in the Desert Palace and getting the Power Glove. I keep getting stuck after getting the big key and I have to save and quit. And speaking of the Power Glove, the reason I get it first is because it makes going around the overworld a lot easier, because the soldiers basically block almost every exit and screw up screen transitions (except for a place to the right of the castle blocked by a rock you need to get rid of with the Titan's Mitt.) So if you have any suggestions on my path for the Light World, lemme know. This is just a very first draft, and I still gotta figure in some things that flagitious and I talked about before I posted this, so the route will change most likely.

Be aware there's at least two more big babies that I can think of. They're in level 25 (I believe. It's in a shopping mall), and in the bonus level "The Son of Dr. Tongue". I'm not sure if there's any others, I should go through and check again sometime.

Ooo, nice! I know for a fact that there's only two skeleton keys lying around in the whole game, and I know that one of them is for a bonus level which is I think used in level 22 to get to it. I can't remember about the other one, but if you can manipulate luck to get one more skeleton key, then you shouldn't have to go out of your way to get one. I know one of them is in the level where there's a house on the island (I think it's level 17, but don't quote me on that) where if you swim out to the southwestern part of the level, there's an island with just a skeleton key on it.

Well I don't think thta the glitch was using Left+Right because in all honesty, I have NO idea how to enable or disable it, and what it is by default. I think it's just a very, very little known trick that I happened to stumble across. I do wanna try doing the Left+Right thing. How do you do enable it?

Nice WIP, Walker Boh. I only got to see the first level because SNES9X just loves to desynch on me right at the beginning, but it was really well done from what I saw. This is gonna look awesome finished. ^_^
