For the end of the world spell, press Control Alt Delete! Meh, no one will probably know what that's from. <_<

The DragonLance series is my personal favorite series. If you like Fantasy novels you might like these.

His point was a TAS should at least be faster than a non-TAS I think. :P

I would be really cool if a bunch of different people TASed the crap out of specific stars www.YouTube.com/SilentSlayers I have alot on there, but most are old and not maxed, still some good watches, and alot more coming in the future.

I knew it saved time, that was not my question.

I would do an improvement (If I knew of an improvement etc), but honestly, this has to be one of the hardest things to TAS compared to, say, Super Mario 64 where it's no memory watching or planning besides Mario's speed adress. Thanks for answering Dromiceius.

Indeed it is always nice to have your computer back after long periods without it (or using a worse one). Thanks for entertaining me with your experiences in USA.

My guess would be that it gives a point of comparison for the real-life speedruns of the game, just like how all the TASes of Super Metroid talk about both real and in-game timers. Thanks for that. Can anyone answer my second question? It is: If someone decides to beat this, should it try and get the game timer lower?

I don't understand what is the point of getting the game timer low. Could you please explain? If someone decides to beat this, should it try and get the game timer lower? Thanks.

Got around to watching it. That was amazing! I have never been so entertained by an RPG TAS before. I guess it helps that I finished playing through the game again a month ago so the storyline was fresh in my mind. My childhood demands a DemonWall Lol! I forgot about that boss, how did he skip that? He just teleported out somehow... I didn't know that was possible :\ Coloring Cecil was pretty cool. :P I also found the music synchronization with the changing characters very amusing. Yes vote! I watched it all.

Not going to bother finding proper rom and all that stuff. I'll wait for AVI, but i'm happy to see this popup on the workbench! Also, nice submission text. :P

Whoever asked about making those blocks that make you go very fast, to do it you need Lunar Magic, SMW rom and "Blocktool" I think it's called. It's been quite a few months since I have hacked SMW so I can't give you exact details, but blocktool comes with a bunch of custom blocks you can insert to lunar magic. There are a bunch of tutorials on how to use it and a download for the file at: www.smwcentral.net

It should be noted that Nitsuja's WIP of the first level is 3 frames ahead of the current published run, but as has been mentioned on several occassions it's necessary to sacrifice those frames to minimize the hammer bros movement in the overworld. I remember Nitsuja mentioned that if he could get an extra frame he could avoid the delay and save 4 frames in total in 1-1. He said he manages to get ahead but the advantage was always getting cancelled out by lag midway through the level. I managed to get ahead and avoid lag as demonstrated in my demo . Unfortunatley I got stuck on the mushroom glitch, I can't seem to do it as optimally as Nitsuja since he lands earlier of the ground than me. Also to complicate it, I need the right speed and sub pixel position to glitch through the upcoming block. Nice job on that. Does going through the blocks save time? I noticed you went through the "?" block earlier on, and you are trying to get inside the same one Nitsuja did. How did you avoid that 1 frame of lag anyways?

I vote for finding a way to skip the intro, it's breaking my tab key. Lol. For some reason holding "+" makes mine go faster when it is at 1000% rather than using tab.

z0MG definitely meant that avoiding bowser 1 is most likely impossible, but you can never know for sure. :P

Well, I have to agree that while the improvement is small, you should be able to see that changes were obviously made. Like BitFS, for one. I mean, come on. The different route taken is OBVIOUS. The new run follows more along the "normal" route while the other one takes the edge of the map. Pretty much what I was saying, I was just ruder (more rude?). :P

There's really no need to be so defensive, it makes you seem like an asshole. He was just stating how he experienced your movie, deal with it. It's not like the publishing of this movie is dependent on voters anyway. Sorry, things like that just tick me off, i'm a grumpy person like that. :(

Just watched it on youtube and... can't actually tell the difference between it and the previous run. Meh. Read the improvement submission text, then watch the video again. Then afterwards, watch SL's video. If you still are having problems seeing the improvements, I honestly do feel bad. Countless others have seen and appreciated the improvements, clearly it's there and viewable to others, give it a chance.
