I'm going to be trying to TAS this game, as we don't have one on the site, although I notice there has been a cancelled TAS (http://tasvideos.org/1346S.html). There's a conventional Speed Run on SDA that I'll use for inspiration. It seems from the previous attempt and the SDA speedrun that Easy mode is the best, as the only difference is the hit points for the bosses.
Really? I coulda sworn playing the game in easy mode locked you out of the final stage.
There doesn't seem to be an extra stage in hard mode. I've just watched the previous submission on hard mode (http://tasvideos.org/1346S.html), and the one on SDA (http://speeddemosarchive.com/JoeAndMac.html) on easy mode, and both have a stage inside the dinosaur with two bosses (the second one seems to be a girl who then turns into a devil. Kurabupengin, I did a search for an existing thread before I started this one, but it's possible I missed it.

An alternative way is to click on the tick or question mark at the bottom left of the window when the rom is loaded. This displayed the SHA-1, as well as the MD5. You can click Copy All to copy everything to the clipboard, and paste it here, or Copy Sel to just copy whatever you select.

I'm glad that you're working on this. The c64 was my first computer, so there a bit of nostalgia value for me, and supporting the c64 should increase the number of TASable games quite a bit. I've got a couple of questions. The roms I've tried come up as Unknown Rom, whereas SNES roms (for example), almost always come up as verified good dumps. Does Bizhawk have a list of good c64 roms (and their checksums), as it does for other formats? Also are t64 format files supported? Currently it seems tap format roms seem to work, but all the t64 files seem to get stuck where it says PRESS PLAY ON TAPE Finally, is the core ready for c64 TASs to be submitted on the site, and if not, what is the process for c64 TASs to be approved?
