Thanks for showing up those Special Stages. I remember one of them stumping me as a kid, but for the life of me I can't remember which one. Voting YES because it's well played and appears quite fast.

WinKey + 'M'/'D' minimizes everything
There's a difference in the functionality of these. Using M minimizes everything, while D can minimize AND restore everything to how it was. Winkey + R = Run +E = Explorer in Folders mode. +U = Utilities mode +F = Search +L = Lock +B = ? (It does something, but not sure exactly what.)

Thanks for the encode. I tried watching the run on emulator and my computer crashed. TWICE. Totally locked up on Stage 1. Totally weird...never had that happen before.

Interesting. Lots of little changes here and there, the most drastic being the room before the star warp, which is COMPLETELY different. Also will be doing a 4P run for the SDA charity marathon in a month. The one thing I found from my play with romscout (2P) is that the lag in a multiplayer game is gawd awful. And it's really really random, which should make this quite interesting come the marathon. Hopefully all will go well and it should be interesting to watch if you like this game.

I don't feel this really adds anything new. The run was well done, but I don't think it's necessary. Voting MEH.

Not really as fast as possible, but I mainly wanted to try it out. Uses SNES9x 1.51. No rerecords (I played as if I was doing it in real time). Encode: Link to video

The problem with TASing it is that it's an autoscroller. It could be entertaining if you play it like the Gradius TAS, but I'm not sure it will be quite as good, since you can't play around like you can with the options (in Gradius). (BTW, I have played and beaten both the SNES and Wii versions of the game.)

I'll work on a preview encode. I've got the initial encode done, so I'll try to finish it this morning. My vote is a definite YES. Suggestions for screenshots: Casandra Act I Part 1 (falling below the door) Marana Act I Boss (Fighting stuck in the boss) Death heim - Filmoa Boss (During Death Animation) Death heim - Casandra Boss (On the wall above the small head fighting the big one) Temp Encode: Removed, since it's been published.

Worst movie I've ever seen in my life. Therefore I have no choice but to vote YES.

Very nice! I'm quite glad to see a run finally made it to TASVideos which only runs the action portions. Some notes I made for myself when I watched this: * I found myself really surprised at the same place neo_omegon pointed out. * The boss manipulation is really awesome. Casandra 1 and Aitos 2 really stick out for me. * The Casandra 2 boss fight was pretty surprising, in a good way. * It's a shame how much longer the Marana 1 boss fight is in the Japanese version. Yes vote. Also, I have a screenshot suggestion: At the very end of the first refight in Death Heim, against the Filmoa 2 boss, you finish the fight while being impaled on his axe. That would make a cool picture.
I think we have to go with that or with the exit from Casandra Act I Part 1. And yes folks, the battle against Rafflasher really sucked in the Japanese version. It's one of those things that I think really makes it clear to the viewer, even if they've never played the Japanese one and either only played the English one or watched the current full game TAS that this really is much harder and handled in an impressive manner.

FINALLY. I was hoping this didn't die so close to the finish line. I pretty much can vote yes on this already, since I've followed the WIPs, though I'll wait to see if/what any changes you've made since the last one.

Stop using IE? Does it happen with Chrome/Firefox? If it's caused by one of the updates, it can probably be uninstalled - it's just a matter of which update. The Windows Update page will tell you what was recently installed and you may be able to pin it down from there.

With the Frogger 2 TAS out, I'm gonna try AGAIN to figure out the stupid RNG, though help is appreciated. I'm using PSXjin 2.0.2 now. Working on the first stage - and as soon as I save some time somewhere, I lose it somewhere else. Frustrating. Current Progress: 1. Zone 1 - Retro Zone (Truck) - 5 levels a. Level 1-1 - Retro Level 1 (CLEARED - 5s, 5s, 4s, 6s, 7s = 27s) Yeah, I'll need to redo this. But I don't have any more time this morning. So I'll share what I've got. http://www.mediafire.com/?0ulv24dy04p14zv MD5 for the ISO: IMG - ADFEC89428BE1C84DF042F00AE3D33A7 SUB - DBA05AFED0F26F1141390863D59B29F4 CCD - D773E9086F53CA4DE27B4367352E087E

Somebody was thinking about this comic when creating this thread, no? And no, I'm not listing all the games I own. I would break the forums when I'm done at the age of 40. Assuming it still exists.

Actually, there's only 1 castle. You just jump between 2 parallel versions of it.
